I don’t understand why, if the house is Spanish as stated on the card, it says Paris on the sample. Perhaps I’m wrong, but I associate EDP with something with more strength and durability. The aroma is delicate, somewhat like talc in some phase, but thanks to the leather it takes a darker and more pleasant direction. The projection isn’t potent, it’s perceptible and accompanies you softly on an introspective journey, making me think of a night walk in the city when everything changes compared to the day. In my opinion, it could be unisex due to that delicacy, a modern proposal, a bit sweet, suitable for romantic dreamers. It’s not for a Mickey Rourke or a Don Johnson, ideal without doubt if you’re a Hugh Grant type.
I was gifted this perfume this Christmas. I first smelled it in a shopping centre alongside Juliet Has a Gun; a very kind sales assistant offered it to me and I liked it from the start. My companion actually gifted it to me for Christmas. In my opinion, it’s a good perfume, it has a certain resemblance to Fahrenheit, although this one is more complex and shares the leather. It doesn’t have much longevity, between three and four hours, although it lingers on clothes quite a bit; I have a handkerchief where it stayed for several days. It doesn’t project much, it’s very moderate, I haven’t received any compliments. I recommend it because it smells very elegant and nice. Out of 10, I’d give it a seven and a half.
As with other fragrances from the brand, the listed notes didn’t help me imagine the scent. It’s a very pleasant linear aroma with an aniseed air that reminded me of L. Lempicka’s Au Masculin. Up close, it smells of licorice. To my taste, it’s very good, although it doesn’t shine in terms of performance; perhaps I’ll buy it if I find it at a clearance price. Thanks to Jerry Drake for the sample.
I’ve been wanting to write about this for ages; I’ve had the luck of trying and owning every scent in the line. The opening is sharp, not grating, it warns you that something good is happening: citrusy, yet with a sweet base. It’s a serene fragrance that accompanies without noise or unpleasant notes; the leather is clean, I barely notice it, which would be the dirtiest note but it doesn’t matter. I like it for daily wear, it steers clear of overused notes. Alongside Peau de Pierre, these are undoubtedly my favourites.
