Descripción

Silver Scent Intense by Jacques Bogart is an oriental fougère fragrance for men. Launched in 2009, this composition features an olfactory pyramid crafted by a master perfumer. The top notes unfold the freshness of African neroli, bitter orange, and Amalfi lemon. The heart reveals a complex harmony of lavender, geranium, cardamom, nutmeg, rosemary, and coriander. Finally, the base notes land with the warmth of tonka bean, oud wood, teak wood, vetiver, and oakmoss.

  • A friend wore it and it brought back memories of Dubai. It has lots of oud and tonka bean, is super sweet and long-lasting. I love it, even for women.

A friend wore it and it brought back memories of Dubai! It’s heavy on oud and tonka bean, super sweet and long-lasting. I love it, even for women.

Smells like Ted Lapidus Black Soul Imperial but for winter and unisex. Rosemary and teak dominate, though the oud smells a bit synthetic. A saleswoman claimed it ‘smelled like Frescolita’, but I prefer the original Lapidus.

  • Shiseido’s Soul Imperial is another story. This one has a bright, summery, floral neroli, with a green touch from oakmoss. The Deep version is creamy and hazelnutty, softer. The oud wood integrates well and goes unnoticed at first. My brother-in-law wore it to a summer wedding in Seville and it lasted over 12 hours. The neroli and lavender last until the end. It has won me over.

Shiseido, Soul Imperial has nothing to do with this. TLBS Imperial has a point of sweet coffee that makes it warm, enveloping and winter-like. To my nose this is a bright, summery and blooming neroli, sharp in a green floral facet thanks to the oakmoss. I think you were referring to the Deep version, which has a creamy hazelnut tone that makes it gourmand, more winter-like and soft. I have it right in front of me now and no woods come to my mind (at least not immediately after spraying it). To me it smells very good, pity that that brightness doesn’t last long. Bogart, in any case, has conquered me. Note 2: the wood (probably oud) blends very well with the rest and that’s why I didn’t perceive it at first; indeed it’s there but it’s not appreciated separately from the rest, but very well integrated, almost going unnoticed as the neroli calls attention powerfully. Note 3: yesterday my brother-in-law wore it at a wedding in the middle of summer in Seville, it lasted +12h and was very well perceived. Very good scent, I love it. The neroli-lavanda last until the end of the scent.

  • Exquisite and erratic fresh and warm opening from the orange blossom, mixed with rosemary and fermented bitter orange, and beautifully decorated lavender. It reminded me a lot of Joop Summer, that peppery sting which I think here is the coriander. The Oud is true enough but it’s there, obviously not like Ferrari Oud where it is with majesty. Silver Scent Intense is a fragrance of surprising quality, longevity and trail that is beyond doubt: easily 10 hours. The only criticism is that the atomiser doesn’t distribute very finely or mine would come out a bit more generously in application; I like those that come out with a soft mist, like Narciso Rodríguez.

  • What a bad experience I’ve had with this brand. What’s in the base doesn’t entirely disgust me, but it’s that as the main note there’s an oud that’s a bit animal and dirty which I dislike. The normal version seems practically the same but without that oud note so it seems more pleasant to me, but still it doesn’t add much for me. This more pleasant part is difficult for me to describe as it’s not realistic. From some comments I imagined some very sweet flashy fruit, but although it’s sweet it’s balanced with lavender, bergamot, something indolic, etc. I say all this looking at the pyramid, otherwise I wouldn’t get it clearly jjj, because as I say it’s not a very realistic scent, although for the price it can fit.

  • What a bad experience with this brand. The base doesn’t disgust me, but the main oud smells animalistic and dirty, and that kills it for me. The regular version is the same but without that oud, and while it’s more pleasant, it doesn’t add much. The good part is hard to describe; it’s not a realistic scent. I imagined zesty fruit, but it’s sweet and balanced with lavender, orange blossom, and indolic notes. For the price it might fit, though it’s not a scent that makes you feel real.

Hello hello, I’m here to give my opinion on this fragrance. The first thing that caught my attention were the positive comments on Fragrantica in English about this flanker, as they said the normal mother ‘Silver Scent’ was very synthetic, that they had already reformulated it, and that it didn’t last at all. I thought: ‘well, since the Intense sucks so much, let’s go for the… it’s cheap and it probably isn’t much’. But as I saw it had Oud, I said: ‘uff, I was scared of the Oud, it’s not a wood that everyone likes, it can be very potent and it’s not something you buy blindly’. With fear I knew the Oud I’d receive would be synthetic or poorly mixed due to the cost, hehe. But to die, I ordered it, received it, and nervously opened it. I sprayed my first spray and my fears went away. A fruity scent with a synthetic touch but not much; I’ve never felt Oud but I felt a well-potent wood and I liked it. Its scent is like fermented grape, in my country Chile it smells like grape chicha. Haha, it’s not a bad fragrance, it didn’t blow my head away but it’s rich and youthful. That said, very linear and I don’t think it’s to everyone’s taste. I don’t find much difference from the Intense because in duration and projection it’s average: 3 hours strong and from 6 to 7 it drops, afterwards it continues but it’s a scent you’ll only feel on your skin. Not for adults either no, it can vary with ages but from 24 upwards it’s fine. For warm climates: mmm, no. Cold days, in my opinion, for both day and night. During the day it can be casual and at night party-like. Blind buy: mmm, if you like fruity scents for the price, you’ll like this Silver. This is a friendly Oud.

Good, pretty, cheap, and, as the Portuguese say, bombastic! First of all: if you’re looking for a natural scent, you won’t find it here, but it’s a fairly balanced synthetic fragrance (not entirely). Sweet and gummy citrus opening, very similar to chicha for Chileans, but with a more citrusy touch. The predominant note for me is orange blossom, which I don’t think is neroli, as the latter has a more herbal and refined opening, whereas orange blossom is sweeter. In the base, there’s a fairly light, bright, and synthetic oud; it’s not that niche earthy and acidic well-wooded oud. The treated oud here is the lightest you can find and is accompanied by that gummy sensation which perhaps comes from tonka bean. That sweet and gummy citrus opening lasts an hour projecting strongly. Then, after an hour, it becomes more aromatic and herbal. Here I return to the synthetic point: in a high-quality niche fragrance with natural components, you can feel the quality of each ingredient, but here you feel a mix of all the aromatic and herbal elements that is impossible to divide. You can detect the coriander, lavender, geranium, and rosemary (the latter two more subtle), all mixed in a warm and spicy combination. At this point it stops being fresh but still retains that bright sensation that disturbs the olfactory senses. To my taste, perhaps this is the weakest part where the projection drops near the third or fourth hour. Suddenly, by magic, the fragrance comes back to life towards the warm, spicy, and balsamic side. The dry down is almost gourmand, slightly nutty with mace and cardamomo, giving that warm spice a slightly high note in its decline, and then BOOOOM! Tonka bean in its full glory, alongside a slight woody but sweet, almost creamy sensation. It can last for hours. In performance it’s a beast: moderate to heavy projection for 3-4 hours, then calms down for a couple of hours and those bursts of tonka bean and gummy wood last until the next day. Easy skin longevity: 12 hours, it lasted me more than a day. Usage: Super versatile, from semi-casual to formal (although compared to niches it has lower quality, the scent is succulent). It’s not for going unnoticed; some people might find that gummy aroma annoying (sometimes it made my stomach churn when testing it). Ideal for going out with friends, parties, perhaps romantic. With more than 6 sprays it can overpower any other scent. I don’t see it for daily use, it’s like wearing Joop Homme every day. These strong scents should be used with moderation for the good of the public. Seasons: Winter, autumn, and even spring. It’s sweet but bright, not that sweet caramelised and cloying gourmand. It might be cloying but more bright thanks to the fresh citrus contribution. Forget about this on hot days; perhaps one or two sprays if you want to try, but this lasts until a fresh spring day. To my taste it’s suitable for both day and night as long as the sun isn’t scorching. Scent: 8.5/10 (10/10 for the price, it’s not original and the synthetic quality lowers the score), Longevity: 10/10, Projection: 9/10 (a beast mode but there are bigger beasts), Versatility: 7/10 (nothing sporty, nothing very formal and far from extreme heat), Price: 10/10 (I got a tester for 8 Lukas, $12). Final note: 9/10. Exquisite scent, a bit synthetic, with great projection and longevity, but nothing innovative and with short versatility.

Good, pretty, cheap, and bombastic. If you’re looking for something natural, forget it; it’s synthetic but balanced. Sweet and chewy citrus opening, like chicha but fresher, with orange blossom (not neroli). The oud is light and bright, nothing earthy. The aromatic blend is warm and spicy, albeit synthetic. Projection drops by the third hour, but then the tonka bean explodes with a creamy, sweet touch. Beast mode performance: lasts over 12 hours. Versatile, from casual to formal, but not for daily wear or extreme heat. Ideal for going out with friends or parties. Watch out, it can overwhelm if you apply too many sprays. Scent: 8.5/10, Longevity: 10/10, Projection: 9/10, Price: 10/10. Exquisite but not very innovative.

  • Pleasant, strong, and synthetic. Smells like sweet and chewy fruit, something like UVA. It’s incisive but lasts a long time and projects well. Not a bomb of compliments, but it catches attention. Informal, for going out with friends or at night. It’s noticeable always, even with few sprays, even at the gym. Although it’s sweet, I find it fresh. Use it moderately because being so synthetic it can overwhelm.

  • Pleasant, strong, synthetic, smells like sweet and gummy fruit, something similar to grape. It’s interesting though quite incisive, lasts a long time and projects well. It’s not a compliments bomb but it does get some comments. Informal, for going out with friends, at night. You can constantly detect it; with just a few sprays it can even be used at the gym. Although it’s sweet, I find it fresh. That said, moderate its use as it can become overwhelming over time due to being so synthetic.

  • Have they reformulated this line? Less of the Deep, seems like water. It doesn’t last on me at all; when they said it lasted long, now I notice it’s weak.

  • Have they reformulated the three in this series? Except the Deep, I think that’s the name, they seem like water. It lasts me very little. Reviews say it lasted a long time, but I find it extremely weak…

  • La Nariz Simple

Scent: Excellent, Projection: God Tier, Longevity: God Tier, Quality: Very good. Blind buy: Yesiiii! 10/10. Incredible price and quality. It’s a compliments machine, especially at night. It’s a perfume made for the evening. If you like compliments, this is by far the best option on the market.

  • Perfumeloco

Without a doubt, the best from this brand. I’d wear it in winter for a day out hunting as it’s sweet and very intense. It’s a 90s-style perfume, nothing like a Dior or a Paco Rabanne. I recommend it for those over 30.

  • Bought it blindly because everyone recommended it, and I regret it. Smells incredibly synthetic, with an alcoholic opening and a plastic scent that actually makes me nauseous. I don’t know why people defend it; I’d rather use a £10 pirate cologne from the market that smells 100 times better. If you think you need to ‘understand’ fragrances, let me tell you: smelling like synthetic fairground horse urine doesn’t help, especially with women. Scent: 2, Projection: 8, Longevity: 9 (it’s nasty and hard to wash off, good luck to anyone who praises it).

  • I bought it blindly because many people recommended it, and I regret it. It’s maximally synthetic, with an alcoholic opening and a nasty, plastic, almost vomit-like smell. I don’t know what the general public thinks, but buying pirated perfumes for $10 at the fair, I’ve found things many times better. If you know someone and put this on them, you smell like a synthetic fairground horse, something that doesn’t help, especially with women. Scent: 2/10, Projection: 8/10, Longevity: 9/10 (it’s bad and hard to remove, luck to the ones who wrote the good reviews).
