Descripción

Silver Scent Pure by Jacques Bogart is an aromatic citrus fragrance for men. Launched in 2015, this composition was created by nose Evelyne Boulanger. Its top notes of grapefruit, mint, Granny Smith apple, and bergamot deliver a fresh and vibrant opening. The heart reveals orange blossom, lavender, cardamom, and nutmeg, imparting a spiced and floral elegance. Finally, the base notes settle with musk, teak wood, guaiac wood, and patchouli leaves, closing the olfactive pyramid with a warm and woody finish.

  • I get the impression that those of us who are fanatics of 80s perfumes and orientals, when high temperatures arrive, we feel more unprotected, basically because it becomes very difficult to wear our favourite fragrances. And there are quite notable fresh ones, but in most occasions they are scarce in what we like most: potency. The Bogart house solves the problem with this huge perfume, in every sense, presented in a beautiful, robust bottle of immaculate white colour, which will quickly take a favourite place in our collection. Silver Scent Pure proposes a pure fruity aroma, with notes of what I believe to be grapefruit, adorned with mint, lavender, and herbal sparks, and a little bit of animal salt that gives it a kick. The general effect is clean, fresh, romantic, and above all, categorical. I refer to the fact that from the very first moment it is in beast mode, with a very high-invasive projection, and besides, you can smell it all day. In this sense, it is an atypical fresh scent, definitive, which we could imagine as a summer version of One Man Show Gold or perhaps Ted Lapidus (in some moments, those notes between animal and fruity seem very similar to me). I cannot but recommend it wholeheartedly. If you are in this wave of perfumes, I invite you to try it and decide for yourselves.

It has the Bogart DNA: a mature gentleman’s aroma from the 80s. An explosion of bergamot, grapefruit, and lavender, plus that distinguished touch. Longevity of 7 hours and projection almost off the charts. Very versatile for any climate or occasion; despite its classic touch, it has a modern air that makes it a good choice. It can be found online between $15 and $20. In terms of price-to-quality, I give it an 8/10.

It has the DNA of the Bogarts, that is, a mature gentleman aroma from the 80s. An explosion of bergamot, grapefruit, and lavender plus the DNA. Longevity: 7 hours, projection almost 3 hours. Very versatile for any climate and occasion; despite having the senorial touch, it does have a modern touch that makes it a very good option. It can be found online between 15 and 20 dollars. Regarding price and quality, I give it an 8/10.

I still wonder what happened here. The fragrance smells good: citrus opening, sweet and woody base, but it vanished in minutes, not even sticking to the clothes. I have Silver Scent and One Man Show Oud Edition in my collection, and they are potent, but this flanker is ephemeral in its maximum expression. Scent: 8. Projection: 4. Longevity: 3. Not worth it; better spend a few dollars more and buy Montblanc Legend Spirit.

I am still wondering: what happened here? The fragrance itself smells very good, citrus opening, sweet and woody base, but it vanished in minutes, it did not even stick to the clothes. I have Silver Scent and One Man Show Oud Edition in my collection, and they are potent, but this flanker is ephemeral in its maximum expression. Scent: 8. Projection: 4. Longevity: 3. Not worth it, better opt for a few dollars more and buy Montblanc Legend Spirit.

  • During my eternal search for a lasting fresh citrus, I have dared to try blind buys of fragrances not accessible for testing. This pure scent is one of those risks, but given the modest price, I console myself thinking that the fiasco is a lesser evil. A radioactive grapefruit cultivated by Bart Simpson with uranium stolen from his father welcomes you as a left-wing hook (as a positive point, it has no fermented armpit notes). At 30 cm distance (at the same volume as the reggaeton of a choni walking in her Seat León with windows down on a summer night) appears a bergamot as bitter as sweet, with an intensity of condensed amphetamine capable of drying your mouth and dehydrating your pituitary. And so for hours. You try to sleep but the specimen with plucked eyebrows and impossible hair has parked under your house with doors open and accompanied by colleagues of its kind, so strident and synthetic as the musk and patchouli that come to form the dry down of one of the most unsettling aromas that misfortune has given me to test. Sleepless night, with a upset stomach; the radioactive enriched uranium fluorescent green light projecting from my arm to the ceiling… How reasonable is that? Sculpture by Nikos for men and the aforementioned ‘Mistique’. I do not dare even to gift it.

  • Who said a freshie can’t be potent? Here’s the proof. Of the few Bogart scents I’ve tried, it’s clear they don’t play small; their performance exceeds the average and the price is very competitive, a 10 out of 10. This Silver Scent Pure is fresh, pleasant, and very comfortable, ideal for the heat that’s approaching. It’s a citrus-floral blend (grapefruit, bergamot, orange blossom, lavender) with a sweet woody base and a refreshing mint note, not excessively sweet. It has a certain air of Al Haramain’s Mystique, but in beast mode and with more sweetness. It’s for warm climates, cheerful, and very clean. The performance is excellent: on the skin it lasts about 7 hours, with a very marked sillage for the first hour and then moderate. For the price, it’s extraordinary performance. A perfume for temperate climates and daytime use. I liked it and it’s a great option for those seeking power in summer.

  • Who said a fresh fragrance could not be potent? Well, here is the proof. I have tested few perfumes from the Bogart house, but one thing is clear: they do not play small games; the performance of these perfumes is well above average and at a very competitive price, the truth is a 10 for this perfume house. This Silver Scent Pure in particular is a fresh, pleasant, and very enjoyable scent to wear, and now with the heat coming upon us, it is a very comfortable and recommended perfume. A citrus-floral fragrance (grapefruit, bergamot, bergamot, and lavender), with a sweet woody base and a touch of quite refreshing mint, not excessively sweet, it has a certain air to Al Haramain’s Mystique, but in beast mode and with the sweet touch slightly more pronounced. A fragrance for warm climates, fresh, cheerful, and very clean. The performance is very good, reaching over 7 hours on skin, with a very marked and noticeable trail the first hour, then dropping to moderate, but considering its price, it is an extraordinary performance. It is a perfume, as I said earlier, for warm and temperate climates and daytime use. To me, particularly, I have liked it, and to all those who miss potent perfumes in summer, here you have a magnificent option.

  • During my eternal search for a long-lasting fresh citrus, I’ve dared to buy blind fragrances that are inaccessible. This Pure Scent is one of those risks, but since the price is modest, it comforts me that it’s a lesser evil. A radioactive grapefruit cultivated by Bart Simpson with uranium stolen from his father welcomes you. As a positive point, it doesn’t leave a fermented armpit smell. After 30 seconds, a bitter and sweet orange blossom appears, with an intensity of condensed amphetamine that leaves your mouth dry and your pituitary dehydrated. Like this for hours. You try to sleep but the specimen with plucked eyebrows and impossible hair has parked his car under your house, with doors open and colleagues of his ilk, as strident and synthetic as the musk and patchouli in the base. Sleepless night, with a upset stomach; the green fluorescent light projecting from my arm to the ceiling… How similar to Nikos Sculpture for Men or Mystique. I dare not gift it.

  • Who said this fragrance is a beast? Pure lies. I do not know if they reformulated it much as its longevity is almost scarce; it cannot be a version with another juice, where would you decant that jack? Regarding the bottle for the knowledgeable: 4 hours of longevity and even Le Male Popeye projects more. The scent is quite nice and does not feel synthetic at all, but regarding projection and longevity, mate, better look for other options. I do not recommend it!

  • Who said this fragrance is a beast? Pure nonsense. I don’t know if they reformulated it much because its longevity is almost non-existent. It can’t be a version with a different juice, where would you decant that Jacques? You’d have to break it. For the connoisseurs: getting back to the point, 4 hours of longevity and neither Popeye nor Le Male project more. The scent is rich and doesn’t smell synthetic, but in projection and longevity, mate, better look for other options. I don’t recommend it.

Using this fragrance for over a month now, I must say… IT SHUTS ME UP!!! A fruity opening like a grape palette, potent, can be used by both sexes. The first time I wore it, at 5 hours I felt it was super soft; I do not know why, perhaps my nose failed me, but with time I felt it was not a bad or weak fragrance. It is curious; these are the kind of fragrances where you do not feel the scent yourself but others do. A longevity that lasts and lasts, though with heat it might evaporate faster. I recommend it for days when you feel a breeze but the environment is not oppressively hot. I also recommend it for young people aged 18 to 22, in my opinion; older people or those who prefer more intense or woody scents probably would not like it… It does not feel synthetic (in the sense of having any unpleasant points or moments). Later in the dry down, the grapefruit highlights more, something more citrusy. Should I recommend it? Yes, if you like super fruity aromas and, of course, if you are an adolescent with an extroverted personality; not for someone older (35 to 40 years or more). Would I buy it again? I am not sure, I like it, but it would not be my first choice. And let me tell you… THIS FRAGRANCE SHUTS ME UP! Longevity: good, it can last well 7 to 8 hours. Projection: about 3 hours very well, but only the first hour is heavy.

  • The opening is a bit overwhelming, but once it settles, for me, it leaves an aroma that is a balanced mix between citrus and white flowers (or ‘clean flowers’ as I have read somewhere). It is a very homogeneous blend; I do not smell any specific flower or citrus, it goes ‘all in one’. I am getting to know this brand and believe one of its qualities is how they work with ‘synthetic molecules’. It has very good longevity. It is not beast mode, but it is one that accompanies you for good hours.

  • The worst thing I have ever heard about. I do not have price prejudices, but even for 20 euros, I believe it is a robbery to pay for such nuclear junk that does not even rub off with baby wipes. The OMS Oud is very good, but this… has no name.

After this budget-friendly classic from the Bogart house, we encounter a ‘fresh’ scent that is anything but linear and is unique within its segment. The opening is somewhat rough, reminiscent of an aromatic citrus, something vintage (which this French house almost always cherishes), followed by a fruity note, a subtle sweetness, and floral tones before drying down to become woody; quite a journey. An unconventional aroma, as the trendiest things are often the easiest; this is mature, for those who do not seek bestsellers or the perfumes of compliments that everyone likes. I recommend investing in it to appreciate something that you might otherwise find in a perfume costing double or triple the price. Bogart is not interested in what is currently ‘in vogue’ but creates fragrances in their own style, the house’s specialty.
