Tried it today and it’s not really my thing. The wood and tobacco blend is very prominent, though it’s a dry, bitter tobacco rather than the sweet kind found in others. There’s also a strong presence of patchouli, with resinous and spicy notes. It’s a very masculine scent that, towards the end, leaves a petrol-like trail reminiscent of Gucci Guilty Absolute or Tom Ford’s Ombre Leather. Perfect for fans of Ormond Man or Au Cœur de Dessert from yesterday, but to me, it feels a bit rugged. The quality feels good and the scent is fairly natural, but the performance isn’t particularly impressive. The longevity is decent, yet the projection is skin-scent almost from the very first moment. Additionally, the scent is very linear from start to finish. I see it as ideal for daytime in moderate to cold climates and acceptable even for evening wear in warmer weather. Scent: 6, Longevity: 7.5, Projection: 6, Value for money: 4 (mainly due to performance), Originality: 8, Versatility: 6, Overall: 6.5.
I tried it today and it’s not my thing. The wood and tobacco blend stands out, with the tobacco being dry and bitter rather than sweet like in others. The patchouli is very prominent with resinous and spicy notes. It’s very masculine and eventually smells like petrol, reminiscent of Gucci Guilty Absolu or Tom Ford’s Ombre Leather. It would suit fans of Ormond Man or Ayer’s Au Cœur de Dessert, though to me it feels a bit rugged. The quality and naturalness are good, but the performance isn’t the best: the longevity is decent, but the projection is almost non-existent from the start. The scent is very linear. I see it as ideal for medium/cold climates and works well too at night in the heat. To me, it smells of woods, moss, resin, pepper and cumin… interesting, though nothing particularly new or striking. It lasts well on the skin, but the projection fades after an hour or so; even when applied generously, it doesn’t stand out there. Only at the very end, once everything has vanished, does a hint of incense reminiscent of Interlude remain, but so faint that when the rest is still present, you hardly notice it. It has quality and seems rather solemn; I’d strongly support it for charismatic, characterful men. As a reinforcement of that image, if someone finds it seductive, I can see that. As a sensual perfume due to its scent… I don’t think so.
It reminds me of woods, moss, resin, pepper and cumin… interesting, but nothing new or striking. On skin it lasts decently, but the projection fades within an hour or so; even though I applied a generous amount, it doesn’t stand out in that regard. In the end, when it’s just on skin, there’s a hint of incense like Interlude, but infinitely subtle, so much so that with the rest of the notes on top, you wouldn’t imagine it’s there. As a sensual fragrance… I don’t think so.
