My latest purchase from this house and I have no regrets: the bottle is flawless as always. The scent is dark, mysterious and intense; it opens with sandalwood, leather, absinthe and incense that’s smokier than liturgical. It’s spectacular, leaving me speechless. After an hour, it improves with vetiver, cedar and a subtle, pleasing floral note. Occasionally it smells animalic. It’s serious, of the highest calibre, with immense depth and class. I struggle to pick my favourite from the brand, but this definitely ranks in the top four. It exudes authority and mystery. I see it as more masculine, for personal enjoyment rather than compliments, to declare ‘this is who I am’. I believe it’s timeless, perfect for special occasions, though less suitable in extreme heat due to its density. Ideal for men over 30 with a rebellious or innovative character.
