  I’ve just added the brand’s latest release to my collection. It opens with a super citrusy burst of green lemon peel, that typical South American sour lemon. It’s explosive but fades quickly; then it shifts to a sweeter citrus where the mandarin, jasmine, and ylang-ylang are clearly noticeable. After ten minutes, everything balances out, like when an orchestra swaps guitar solos for a powerful, harmonious riff. By half an hour, the fig, vetiver, and cardamomo emerge, adding texture and an earthy base that’s slightly rough, as if spiced with pepper, though it’s likely Egyptian papyrus. In the end, the notes descend, leaving behind the jasmine, vetiver, and a touch of suede that, for my nose, is hard to catch. It’s a sparkling and distinguished fragrance, reminiscent of Nishane’s Wulong Cha (not identical, but similar). Amourud is a bit darker and earthier. Overall, it’s a great scent with excellent trail and projection for the first two hours, then it fades until it disappears by eleven. For this style, the longevity is spectacular. Undoubtedly, it’s for spring and summer, though it holds up well on hot autumn days. I see it as unisex, ideal for dressing up a bit. If you wear it to the office, be careful with the trigger as it’s quite intense. Scent 9/10, Trail 9.5/10, Projection 9/10, Longevity 9/10
