Looking for something fresh for summer, I tried Eau de Memo after enjoying Russian and African Leather from the brand. On seeing the notes, I bought it blindly and absolutely love it. Harmonised citrus that yields to green tea, a heart accompanied by white flowers, light suede and musk. The phases are rounded, with no harsh edges. It lasts 7-8 hours in spring/summer, projects well at first and then settles on the skin. People ask about the scent; it’s attractive and gives me total relaxation. It transports me to a terrace at dusk with a sea breeze. It’s not cheap, but it’s worth it for that feeling. Sometimes it’s cheaper on offer.

I received a sample and learned that our pH and lifestyle change how a perfume smells. On paper, it reminded me of a stable (animal scent and unpleasant herbs), but on skin it improved significantly. It is the most realistic and prominent leather I’ve heard of, with a touch of jasmine, like opening new shoes. Soft, unisex, with a low sillage but lasting 4 hours (more than usual). Ideal for the office and daytime. Quality is noticeable. The price is another matter, but it’s worth trying.
Eau de Memo Paris is my first encounter with the Leather line and it has pleasantly surprised me: the animalistic leather blends beautifully with jasmine. Unlike Tom Ford (which isn’t my taste), here the leather is far more elegant. Upon spraying, leather and jasmine offer freshness and elegance; as it dries, the animalistic side emerges but the floral remains. Imagine a luxury leather wallet with a bouquet of jasmines inside. Unisex, slightly feminine but worn perfectly by men. Sophisticated and well-crafted composition. My favourite in the line remains French Leather, eager to try the rest.
Memo being Memo: elegant, unpretentious, top quality. An energising yet soft citrus opening with a clean floral sparkle. Then the clean facets gain body: a powdery, soapy but bright cleanliness. Suede enters and lingers until the end, joined by a clean moss at the hour mark. Everything is neat and elegant thanks to the suede and musk. It’s a different kind of ‘clean’, addictive and perfect for spring, summer and sunny autumns. A luxury in the office. Fixes for 6-8 hours on skin. The price matches the performance. It makes me feel good and clean.

Don’t waste your money. Black tea dominates with a very subtle leather base. Longevity is terrible: after an hour it’s skin-only with no projection, detectable only by you. One of the worst I’ve tried recently. Not recommended for the price. Lacks character, suitable for neither summer nor winter. A complete rip-off.
The ingredients are top-notch and you can tell immediately upon spraying; it smells very similar to Elizabeth Arden’s Green Tea with that leather note linking it to the Memo family, but the longevity, projection and sillage are truly poor, so if you’re looking for those, better look elsewhere.
Top-quality ingredients; you can tell as soon as you spray it. Smells like Elizabeth Arden’s Green Tea with a faint, distant leather note (Memo family). But beware: longevity, projection and sillage are woefully poor. If you’re seeking impact, put it aside.
It’s a wonder; I’m a fan of fresh scents and colognes but leather overwhelms me, so this is perfect for beginners. It features a subtle leather with tea, jasmine, coriander and citrus (the mandarin really stands out), plus a soapy-metallic air that I adore. It lasts around 6-8 hours, ideal for escaping typical marine fragrances in the heat because it has personality. It’s subtle, elegant and easy to wear compared to others from the brand. If you prefer something more soapy, Itaca was a great favourite of mine too. If you’re seeking something more budget-friendly with the same DNA, Mediterraneo by Victorio & Luchino is an excellent option at a fraction of the price, though with less punch and complexity, it’s still absolutely delicious and affordable.
A jewel for fresh scent lovers: subtle leather base with tea, jasmine, coriander and citrus (mandarin takes the lead), plus a soapy-metallic touch that clears the mind. Lasts 6-8 hours, perfect for breaking away from the usual in the heat. Elegant, easy to wear and full of personality. If you prefer more soapiness, try Itaca; if you’re looking for something budget-friendly with the same DNA, V&L’s Mediterraneo is a real bargain, though less potent.
