  A modern, languid fragrance. Tenue de Soiree is a fruity iris that opens with a dazzling, powdery iris note, evolving into berry, fruity, sweet and creamy accords. Here, Evernil (oakmoss) and a cocktail of musks are quite noticeable. The patchouli goes unnoticed, and the blend leans more towards the sweet side, like a clean chocolate infused with musk. It’s curious: it starts soft but gains body and strength as it dries down. The scent is refined and elegant, though it doesn’t bring much novelty. It leans more towards the feminine, although I see potential for a characterful unisex evening wear. Rating: 6

Here, Evernil (oakmoss) and a cocktail of musks are quite prominent. The patchouli goes unnoticed, and the blend leans sweeter, reminiscent of clean chocolate infused with musk. Interestingly, it starts soft but gains more body and strength as it dries down. The scent is refined and elegant, though it lacks much novelty. It skews more feminine, though I see potential for a characterful unisex evening wear. Rating: 6

  It’s super sparkly! ✨ Reminds me of the taste of Haribo gummy bears, not a specific one but a blend of all of them. It’s sour and sweet, without being cloying, refreshing like a lemon and blackcurrant soda 🍋🍇 with lots of bubbles. There’s also a slightly powdery touch from the iris, which I adore. At first, when I tried it with a sample, I wasn’t sure if I wanted to keep it, but someone gifted it to me and I have to say, I’ve really caught the bug 💫

It’s sour and sweet, without being cloying, refreshing like a lemon and blackcurrant soda 🍋🍇 with lots of fizz. There’s also a slightly powdery touch from the iris, which I absolutely adore. At first, when I tried it with a sample, I wasn’t sure if I wanted to keep it, but someone gifted it to me and I have to say, I’ve grown to love it 💫

While it has a distinctly feminine and unique character, I believe it shines brightest at special events or when you want to make a striking first impression. It then evolves into something ambered and slightly chocolatey, with a very pleasant texture; it’s always well-constructed and high quality. It might remind you of perfumes from Givenchy or Prada, but honestly, I find it far more original. I adore it, as Goutal perfumes consistently denote quality, strength, and evolution within an excellent wear range. This is no exception: it’s a great iris fragrance, not entirely cosmetic, but refined and eye-catching. Rating: 8.5/10 Tested on official sample.
