I like budget brands with good value for money, such as Bogart. Although I disagree that it’s an ‘Oriental Spiced’ scent, I see it as a musky aromatic blend of musk, aquatic, and citrus. The opening is an artificial and strident musk, almost ozonic. Then comes the key note: musky mint with sweet eucalyptus, like strong chewing gum. It may be to some tastes or not; it’s direct. The performance and price are magnificent; fresh and neat for daytime use.
It begins with a warm, creamy orange, similar to Cool Water Intense, followed by lavender with a very pleasant apple freshness, nothing synthetic. There’s a sweet balsamic touch that invites you to sniff your wrist. The bottle with its checkered relief is nice, although the typical Bogart atomiser is ugly but works well. It’s elegant, clean, and ideal for the office. Given its ridiculous price, it’s a sure success.
A perplexing fragrance that didn’t meet my expectations. I would define it as a resinous orange: it has the citrus touch but with an amber heaviness reminiscent of dark perfumes. I don’t see it for hot weather; it might be suffocating. It’s a heavy and original citrus due to this duality, perfect for going out at night.
Highly recommended and economical. To my nose, it smells of vanilla with strong citrus notes before transitioning to lavender. It lasts about 4 or 5 hours, although the powerful opening fades within half an hour. In temperate weather, it’s first class, but not suitable for evening wear. Ideal for every day, whether formal or casual; you’ll surely receive compliments. Good performance for the price.
Disappointing performance: while others from the brand hold up well, this one is extremely weak, more like a low-cost catalogue scent. The smell isn’t unpleasant; it starts sweet and fruity but is very common (orange, tangerine, apple), then a spicy note emerges that I’m not sure is cinnamon. The best part is the dry-down, powdery and sweet, sticking close to the skin. It’s youthful and versatile, but due to the longevity, you’ll need to reapply every 3 or 4 hours. If you’re looking for something like this for less money, go for a catalogue option; it’s not worth it for JB.
