Descripción
Carambola by Natura is a floral fragrance for men and women. Launched in 2019, the nose behind this composition is Verônica Kato. The top notes reveal a tropical explosion with starfruit, lychee, blackcurrant, mandarin, blueberries and blackberry. The heart of the fragrance unfolds with freesia, guanabana, lotus flower and magnolia, while the base notes offer a warm and enveloping foundation of musk, amberwood, sandalwood and vanilla.

Extremely soft, too much for my taste. The sillage is scarce and it smells slightly fruity-floral, aquatic and woody. All its notes are weak; it’s perceived at skin level for two or three hours and then disappears. What a pity because its aroma is very pleasant.
Finally, the Carambola Waters have been added to Fragrantica. ‘Girls, show your talent’. OK, no. Haha! This water is literally water; it doesn’t even reach eau de toilette strength. It has the longevity and sillage of a splash or less; a splash lasts longer and projects better. It’s for personal or intimate use. I use it to sleep in when it’s very hot. I consider it a ‘tropical water’ (that’s what I call it because it doesn’t deserve more). Although it lacks typical notes like pineapple, coconut or watermelon, it does have carambola and guanábana (soursop in Colombia), which are the ones I identify most in the opening and heart, along with a clean white floral, aquatic (from freesia and lotus flower) and a very marked musk. As it dries down, it becomes slightly woody and very, very faintly vanilla.
I bought it because I found it on offer, but on my skin it smells super woody; to me, it seems more suited to a man. The good thing is the scent lasts very little, a maximum of two or three hours.
My sister gifted me half a bottle as she didn’t use it much. I keep it like gold because it’s no longer in the catalogue. It smells super fruity, fresh and sparkling, with tropical and aquatic notes, leaving a soft woody trail as it dries down. It’s very revitalising and cheerful. The longevity is medium-low, as befits a perfumed water, so it’s perfect for reapplying to renew that feeling. I love it.
