Descripción
Homem Dom by Natura is a woody oriental fragrance for men. Launched in 2019, this composition was created by Verônica Kato and Isaac Sinclair. The top notes unfold with cardamom, black pepper, and cyperus; the heart reveals black vanilla bean, tonka bean, Peru balsam, and violet leaves; while the base notes settle on priprioca, sandalwood, guaiac wood, cashmere wood, ambroxan, vetiver, and musk.

It’s very delicious. It’s not at all common, it lingers a lot on the skin, more than 8 hours, and projects for an hour or two more. I use it in cold weather leaning towards night, neither summer nor informal.
Unpretentious… what good chocolate. It settles on the skin and clothes and there’s no way to get it off. Three sprays are sufficient, well, one more on the clothes. From 8 am to 5 pm without issues; ladies like it and it fills an office. Preferably in cold climates, as it suffocates in the heat. Good scent… I’ll leave the price to discussion, it’s a catalogue fragrance and well above common designer ones.
Masculine and very delicious. Excellent trail and you don’t want to take your nose away from where it is. The chocolate is almost immediately perceptible, but it’s very good, nothing fantasy or synthetic, for those who know fragrances… it’s formal and elegant, like putting on an expensive coat, although its price is normal. Also suitable for the daily life of someone interesting, youthful, and mature, both aspects.
It’s a gem. If I wear it, it accentuates the vanilla into spices, effectively transporting me to Ilía Dual, but with more force. On my husband, it’s something else: it transforms it into something chocolatey, deep, and elegant. In its trail, the woods and cardamomo play with great projection; it suits him very well with a formal suit. As I’m tired of my addiction, he doesn’t use it much and has little variety of lighter scents, so I bought him minis of various brands; at the first sniff he uses it and I feel it gives him security and comfort. Time to go for the full size.
I love it, it’s so rich and unusual. It shares notes with Natura Copaiba (less refined than DOM) and Ekos Alma (Ekos is more feminine and wild); having said that, I enjoy DOM as many Natura fragrances have surprised me with price/quality. I bought one that I finished in two months and have two others in case it gets discontinued or reformulated, especially as Copaiba is no longer sold, although there are few on MercadoLibre in Chile. I recommend it fully, even blind. As for whether it’s unisex, I don’t rule it out; it could please some women, as happens with Ekos Alma (it’s marketed as a women’s fragrance, but I wear it as a man’s). It has normal projection and longevity for a catalogue scent.
The only one from Natura that I’ve genuinely liked. Briefly: earthy chocolatey vanilla. Unlike its sisters Sagaz and Essence, I don’t find it so synthetic; it’s within expectations for its price. I perceive some nuances better; despite not having major changes, it has recognisable notes. The only flaw is the alcoholic opening lasting 5 to 10 seconds. Longevity, projection, and trail are very good. Ideal for day and night, informal wear, and in the cold, as it can be overpowering in heat. Scent: 8.75, Longevity: 8.5, Trail: 8.5, Versatility: 6, Price: 9.
First day: I fell in love. It could pass quietly as a flanker to Essential Oud, recalling the woody and balsamic aspects of its vanilla/palo santo variants, though it’s not identical, it has its own thing. It’s not chocolatey as some say; it’s more balsamic and sometimes bitter, sweet woody and herbal at the start… absolutely delicious 💜
It would be spectacular if it didn’t carry ambroxan… it comes across as a disruptive note that breaks the harmony. Otherwise, it would be an excellent fragrance, sweet, sexy, and seductive, ideal for cold weather, evenings, and parties. Unfortunately, that ambroxan mixed with the sweetness causes me discomfort.
It opens smelling exactly like Homem Essence, with that typical pepper note. As it dries, the vanilla becomes noticeable, but it doesn’t really convince me.
De Natura, the Homem collection is the one that suits me least, and within it, DOM and Cor.Agio are the worst: an unpleasant opening of rotten woods, very sharp, with a lingering taste of roots stuck in mud. As it dries, as others say, the sweet notes emerge, but they don’t erase the initial impression; contrary to what the name suggests, it becomes a heavy unisex scent loaded with vanilla and violet, giving makeup-like accords. Poorly constructed and unbalanced… catalogue quality, so the price doesn’t matter; correct longevity but low projection (2/10).
Agreeing with those who wrote before, it is a fragrance of excellent composition, complex and valuable. It is important to try it before as it may not suit many. On my skin, the opening smells like a chocolate bar (not sweet, nor bitter, but like breakfast cocoa), something heavy that later lightens up to become a great olfactory experience. I used it on a very hot day and feel it is not the best climate, although others found it worked well even in the heat. I will try it on rainy days and comment.
Don’t even think about buying it blindly; always try before you buy. A friend lent it to me and I sprayed it twice; a minute later I had to go to the bathroom to take it off because I couldn’t stand it. I’m being honest: I didn’t even get to see if it smelled good or bad, I just say it is strong, overwhelming, and piercing. Difficult to use and wear. Try before you buy. 4/10.
Exquisite; I don’t understand who wouldn’t like it if it’s so spectacular. I used it heavily for the first few days, and when I reapplied, a friend who hadn’t smelled it first said it smelled incredible; upon bringing the cap close, she rolled her eyes in ecstasy. I asked what it smelled like and she only said it was sweet and masculine. Incredible how ordinary people struggle to describe scents; to me, it smells a bit of chocolate and camphor with soft woods. It isn’t potent, sacrificing strength for refinement so as not to bother; perhaps it suits hot climates like Brazil’s, but here it is cold and it lacks power. I am very happy, I bathe in it to avoid saturating my own sense of smell, and I am happy. After a long time, I feel small, subtle waves. Recommended.
I liked it at first and bought it, but now I find it difficult. The opening is very violent, sweet to the point of being cloying and peppery; that alone can make you not want it. Then the cardamom comes through, followed by lots of sandalwood. Throughout its life, it smells extremely sweet to my nose. To enjoy it, you have to wait twenty minutes because the start is overwhelming. Recommended for night and cold, but unfortunately, I have others I enjoy more for those occasions.
I discovered the Homem line through Tato and fell in love with almost everything. At first, it is spicy, spiced, and very sweet. Once it dries down, the sweetness stabilises and projects moderately for about two hours, transforming into an exquisite and addictive vanilla that I’ve never felt like this before. It lasts around eight hours on skin without fading, maintaining a personal bubble all night. It’s for cold autumn, winter, or spring nights in Argentina. The most praised one I own, even more than my designer perfumes.
A perfume spectacle! Smells of vanilla, cardamom, cedar, vetiver, and earth. The opening is super potent but pleasant. It deserves to be in an YSL or Dior bottle and cost triple the price. I see it for autumn and winter daytime wear; it lacks something darker to be evening wear, but it performs perfectly with rain, wind, and cold. 10/10.
Smells incredibly well; a balanced gourmand that doesn’t cloy despite its chocolate notes, but the longevity is a real letdown: barely two hours on skin and a maximum of four on clothes. I have to spray it 15 times to last four hours; I suspect it’s a bad batch, as I’ve been testing it for three months and the performance remains terrible.
I bought it fifteen days ago on promotion, assuming it was ‘niche in a catalogue bottle’. On my skin, it lasts two hours and projects for thirty minutes; it could be a bad batch, a reformulation, or the difference between Argentine and Brazilian industry. What a pity because it smells good. I expected it to ‘macerate’ magically and will update later. For now, a disappointment. EDIT MAY 2024: A BOMB! It lasts 12+ hours and projects six inches. No need to reapply. I don’t know what happened, but it was magic. The scent is good, although there is a note in the dry-down that doesn’t fully convince me. Overall, I like it.
A very subtle gourmand scent with quite good longevity.
A blend of vanilla and chocolate. It didn’t convince me at first, but over time it became spectacular. Ideal for cold weather and evening wear. Lasts over eight hours and projects strongly for the first two. Rating: 8.5/10.
Tremendous for winter or cool spring and autumn nights. If it were a designer scent, it would be worth ten times more. On me, it projects for two hours at two metres, then five or six inches from the skin. AROMA 8.5 Sillage 8 Versatility 5 Price/Quality 10. Very good indeed!
A good perfume. At first impression and when you first apply it, it can be quite cloying due to the potent vanilla, but then it settles nicely and projects well. I think it suits cold weather and evening/nighttime wear. It lasts well on the skin, around six to eight hours. Worth getting for the price.
A very good fragrance; it reflects someone with character, with that exquisite black vanilla taking the lead. I recommend it for evening wear or cooler moments.
I love it!!! For Argentines, it’s like a Serenito vanilla and pepper dessert.
I’m obsessed with it and it holds up well. Smells like a bottle of vanilla essence with a hint of pepper, but after a while it becomes very cloying and boring (my girlfriend and a university friend told me this). Both preferred the Potence/Sagaz, and my girlfriend absolutely loves the Potence. I’d buy it in a smaller size just for winter.
Ideal for cold weather or going out; you can tell the creamy vanilla dominates the evolution. The projection is good and several people liked it, but for me, it’s too cloying and gets tiring. Longevity is moderate but adequate, around six hours. The price is reasonable if you catch it on offer. For a catalogue fragrance, it’s a good one.
Vanilla overload, perfect for winter, but on days over 25 degrees it becomes a nightmare and gives me a headache. Lasts seven hours on the skin. It’s no longer sold in Argentina despite Natura still advertising it, which is madness. If you can’t find it, the essential palo santo from the same brand is a great substitute; it doesn’t smell the same, but it gives that same heavy, creamy scent sensation.
A friend gifted it to me and I’m absolutely blown away; it’s my first Natura perfume. I love vanilla and woody scents, and this is a total hit. It starts sweet with a little kick, then mellows out, leaving the sweetness with the pepper. Projects well and lasts quite a while, about eight hours on the skin and much longer on clothes. Sometimes I catch the scent from a distance, and that’s what I love, knowing it’s still there. For the £20 I paid, it’s a good perfume if you like sweet scents.
A delight of vanilla, chocolate, pepper, and woods. I wear it in autumn and winter. Longevity is otherworldly and the quality is absolute. Many designers would dream of having compositions like this. An olfactory symphony.
A brutal fragrance, in my opinion the top of the Homem range, dead heat with the Tato. Projection and longevity match the very best Natura has to offer, with an incredible scent: sweet, chocolatey, and of such quality that many designer perfumes would envy. All this at a ridiculously low price. Buy it, what more is there to say?
Extraordinary for evening and winter wear. I’d define it as herbal chocolate. Smells incredibly expensive.
Imagine a piece of dark chocolate cake with an intense woody base and a hint of pepper. At first, it’s hard to grasp, but once you catch it, you fall in love. It’s not cloying; it has sweetness but isn’t aiming to be sugary. Ideal for winter.
A good lotion, but suffers from Natura’s typical issue: they discontinue everything all the time. The scent is a mix of CH and dark chocolate. Recommended.
This was my first perfume and I enjoyed it immensely. That blend of vanilla and woods made me think that, despite being so affordable, it offered excellent projection and longevity. I received countless compliments, though some remarked it smelled like a ‘gentleman’ – well, things happen. I recommend it if you’re on a budget but seeking a great winter signature scent.
Opens with an intense pepper note before drying down to vanilla and woods. Very pleasant, but do try before you buy as it might not suit everyone. People love it and give plenty of compliments; good longevity. The trail isn’t massive, but for the price, it’s excellent.
I absolutely adore it. A friend owns it and I can’t help but compliment him every time I see it. To my taste, it’s charming, especially that distinctive vanilla. If my friend didn’t have it, I would definitely be wearing it myself.
My favourite from Natura. I really hope for some cold weather to wear it (in Argentina, it’s always sunny and hot). The scent is exquisite, chocolatey and vanilla-rich, reminiscent of Cindor or a dark chocolate bar. What a shame it’s discontinued; it could easily be a designer fragrance. The definitive winter mid-range scent.
Once the opening fades and the heart emerges, it smells exactly like Tom Ford’s Fucking Fabulous. Simply exquisite.
No longer available in Argentina, but a friend managed to import it for around $74. I was pleasantly surprised: it opens with a strong woody vetiver note and dries down to a vanilla-chocolate scent, similar to Ekos Copaiba. I wore it all day with just two sprays and it still holds up brilliantly. Might not be a beast, but it’s captivating for dates or cold-weather networking. Top-tier quality, I loved it.
Absolute stunner, finally got my hands on it! Discontinued in Chile. Features a dark, toasted vanilla with a very subtle, undeclared iris. It bears a striking resemblance to Homem Reconecta, though here the iris isn’t as invasive as in the original. Well done, Natura. 9/10 for price-to-quality; definitely not a blind buy. Perfect for those over 30.
