The Blend Bourbon by O Boticário is a spicy oriental fragrance for men. Launched in 2019, this composition was created by Adilson Rato, Carmita Magalhaes, Frank Voelkl and Alberto Morillas. In its opening, the fragrance unfolds a vibrant effervescence of pink pepper, bergamot and grapefruit. The heart reveals a warm and spicy complexity where cinnamon, cloves, black pepper, nutmeg and lavender intertwine, supported by a creamy touch of crème brûlée and aquatic nuances that add freshness. The base settles on a solid and enveloping structure formed by Bourbon vanilla, amber, sandalwood, vetiver, woody notes and the distinctive wood of guaiac.

Of course, you can feel Morillas’ hand in this fragrance designed for everyone, regardless of age. Rather than The Blend Bourbon, I’d call it Spicebomb AfterWork: a fresher, livelier take on the original, more versatile, with a citrus-spiced opening full of joy. It works well in almost any season, except days over 30°C, becoming that versatile version that the Fresh and Infrared flankers tried but failed to achieve. Good projection for the first two hours, then it stays close to the skin for about six or seven hours. If you can grab it for $20-25 and you’re a fan of V&R SB, go for it.
