  • Edit of an edit, haha. I tried the ones people say are similar to Homem Dom (no, it shares an opening note, but they take different paths; Dom is very vanilla-based). Reconnect has nothing in common… and Mirra reminds it of so many other balsamic scents in the Natura line, yet they aren’t alike. EDIT: I ended up liking it so much that I want a decant that never runs out, haha (I treat it like liquid gold. Among myrrh, oud, and vanilla scents, this is the one I liked most, besides Oud Fem). It hasn’t arrived in Argentina yet; the bottle I tested was Brazilian. It strikes me that there are votes but no reviews. I’ll just say that the first minutes are fantastic; it’s fresh and very herbal, presumably due to the cedar heart and the cardamom and pepper opening. That fresh palo santo base is enchanting. Then it dries down and remains herbal, becoming more honeyed and balsamic, like a warming sensation. Over time, it sweetens further and loses those intoxicating notes to become a common woody amber scent, a vintage masculine smell reminiscent of aftershave creams. You can still detect the palo santo, though I’d prefer it didn’t dominate the base so much; I assume the sandalwood and tonka bean sweeten it that way. It’s the dry-down that makes it similar to Essential Mirra (but the palo santo is bearable and more masculine). Mirra gives such a strong honey impression that I can’t stand it and see it as unisex leaning feminine.

  • Edit of the edit, hahaha. I tried the ones said to resemble Homem Dom (no, it gives a hint of its opening, but they take different paths; the Dom is very vanilla-forward). The Reconnecto has nothing in common… and the Mirra reminds me of it just as many Natura balms remind me of each other, but they aren’t similar. EDIT: I ended up liking it so much I want a decant that never runs out (I treat it like liquid gold, from the Mirra, oud and vanilla group; it’s the one I liked most besides the Oud Fem). It hasn’t arrived in Argentina yet, what I tested was Brazilian. It strikes me that there are votes but no reviews. The first minutes are lovely; it feels fresh and very herbal (I assume the heart cedar and the opening of cardamom and pepper). That fresh palo santo base bewitches you. Then it dries down, staying herbal, more honeyed and balsamic, like a warming sensation. As time passes it sweetens more and loses those intoxicating notes to become a common woody amber scent, a vintage masculine smell reminiscent of post-shave creams. You can smell the palo santo, but I’d like it not to cover the base so much; I assume the sandalwood and tonka bean sweeten it. In terms of dry down it becomes similar to the Essential Mirra (but the palo santo is bearable and more masculine), whereas the Mirra gives such a strong honey sensation that I can’t stand it and see it as unisex leaning feminine.

A sweet woody fragrance, sharing the same DNA as the Essential line, but it highlights a well-executed palo santo note, slightly sweet. It projects for four hours and lingers for several more. A moderate price for a catalogue fragrance. Recommended because it’s different and I don’t know of another that uses palo santo.

Excellent fragrance with a rare aroma: palo santo. It has some similarity to Homem Dom from the same house but stands out well. The palo santo scent is crafted in a tolerable way, not overwhelming, and it’s truly enjoyable to wear with a good trail. Before buying, I had samples and was impressed by how well they smelled on the skin. I wore it to the office (I arrived by motorbike and most of it was blown away in the wind), and even after four hours, it still perfumes like a stick of incense. Worth it, but not for hot weather; it’s much more enjoyable in the cold.

Excellent fragrance with an unusual aroma: Palo Santo. It has similarities with Homem Dom from the same house, but it stands out. The palo santo is handled in a tolerable way, not overwhelming. It’s a joy to wear and leaves a nice trail. I tested samples before buying and was impressed. I wore it to the office (I arrived on a motorbike and it carried the scent with me) and after four hours it still perfumed like incense. Worth it, but not for hot weather; it’s much more enjoyable in the cold.

  • Jhon Romero

Excellent fragrance, long-lasting and distinct. Worth every penny of this entire Natura line.

  • Sergio albornoz

I tried it recently and was surprised by that note of freshly extinguished palo santo. It belongs to the same family but with an original twist. The longevity is excellent; it still smelled close to the skin the next day. I’m definitely going to want this for the future.

  • Wow, I just bought it, it’s a new launch and I’m a huge fan of the Essential line, especially the Mirra. This is the most natural palo santo scent I’ve ever experienced: powerful, with a liquorice and smoky touch. It then settles into woods, sandalwood and amber, close to the skin, sweet but nothing repugnant. It doesn’t overwhelm; the Mirra is more potent, but this smells like exquisite palo santo. The opening is powerful and alcoholic but calms down within minutes. It lasts many hours. Worth it for Natura; I’ve been missing such a pure scent since they discontinued the Amor de América palo santo.

  • @sergioHoy

Perfect for winter days, it acts as an olfactory alarm clock. Very basic and familiar to anyone who uses palo santo at home or practices yoga. It’s a more serious, less sweet version of One Million, with wood taking centre stage.

  • Absolutely loved it. The opening is potent and reminiscent of myrrh, but as it dries down, a very pleasant sweet palo santo note emerges. It lasts about six hours on the skin and projects strongly at first. Not for the young; I’d say it’s better for those over 30. I don’t believe anyone would dislike it, save for preconceptions about the name, because it doesn’t smell like incense but rather like palo santo wood.

  • True to its name: a fairly sweet and amber palo santo that becomes incense-like as it dries. Honestly, I can’t find much more to say. It lasts about ten hours and projects quite strongly until the end of the second hour. The trail is always present. Smells like a walking incense burner.

  • Fragransimov

After trying it for a while, I say the palo santo scent is very well executed, accompanied by a light sandalwood and cedar. It doesn’t stand out for its evolution and has an opening that reminds of black pepper, though it lasts only a few minutes. I find it very balanced and long-lasting with good initial projection. Excellent price for what it offers, and I’d dare to say it’s the best in the Essential line. It doesn’t surpass Essential Oud in performance, but it does in scent and note quality. I recommend it for cold and mild climates. Versatility isn’t its strong suit; it’s reserved for the fresher seasons. If you like the Essential line, it’s highly recommended.

  • I just bought it and can’t find any resemblance to another perfume; it smells to me like warm dulce de leche, ideal for this season, autumn. It relaxes me instantly. Very briefly: it’s gourmand.

  • Just as it smells… like a fairly sweet and ambered palo santo that becomes incense-like when dried… I can’t find much more honestly. It lasts about 10 hours and projects quite strongly until the second hour… The sillage is always present. To smell like a walking incense burner…

  • I loved it. Strong opening that reminded me of Mirra, then upon drying down it feels like a very sweet palo santo, very pleasant. For me, it lasts a good 6 hours on skin and projects a lot at the start. I don’t see it for the young, yes for 30 and above. I don’t think anyone would dislike it, unless they have prejudices based on the name, as it doesn’t smell like incense, but rather palo santo wood.

  • As those below have said, I subscribe to the view that at first it reminds me of Essential Mirra, and upon drying down it changes to a sweet palo santo scent. That sweetness lasts throughout the duration. It has the classic DNA of the Essential line by reminding one of Mirra, and to a lesser extent Essential Oud, but this Palo Santo is more measured and not so overwhelming. A great perfume from Natura, recommended for both scent and longevity. Ideal for cold climates.

  • BassoProfumo

One of the best in this series. Very similar to John Varvatos, Dunhill Icon Elite, and Apex by Fragrance World (which is a clone of Penhaligon’s Mr Sam). It has quite a heavy sillage.

  • I can barely distinguish the notes, but I detect spices at the start, something floral in the middle, and a woody base. The palo santo is hardly noticeable, especially compared to Amor América Palo Santo or Biografia Assinatura; its presence is very restrained. It might seem linear, but it isn’t; it’s quite complex. Some references help: it shares notes with Homem Dom and Homem Tato, that sweet chocolatey syrup. The blend seems to be a sum of that with some spices. It’s a good alternative if you’re on a tight budget, considering the exorbitant price of imports outside the Mercosur. Many agree they smell better than they cost. It’s for winter, looking young and informal, a little bit loud; it could be good for going out at night or not for the office. Final point: the base notes are tremendously masculine.

  • Delicious fragrance, but the performance is a disaster; you might as well go for Homem Neo or Dom. Natura has clearly neglected this category in their recent launches.

  • I’ve tried almost everything from Natura and must say I’ve enjoyed it quite a bit. Although I’m not usually a fan of their scents, this is one that really invites me to wear it. I detect vanilla, palo santo, a hint of incense, and woods. As they say, it’s linear, yet it has nuances and evolves. I love the dry-down. It’s very warm, ideal for cold climates. I won’t give it more points because the vanilla (even if not declared) is already tiring me out; I find it in almost every modern perfume. Scent: 6.5/10 Longevity: 5/10 Projection: 6/10 Sillage: 5/10 Value for money: 7/10 Blind buy: 2/10 Season: mild or cold.

I asked Santa Claus for an Amouage perfume, but he brought me Natura Palo Santo. We are in difficult times here in Argentina and I haven’t been a good boy either. But I must admit that this fragrance has completely captivated me. With just one spray, you become a hippie travelling through Latin America with a Manu Chao tattoo. You lose the desire to shower and start looking at Cuba’s archaic political system with affection. Ideal to wear with sandals, Bali trousers, a colourful t-shirt, leather bracelets and a wool backpack. It’s a great perfume for the price. Ideal for a house look or for a relaxed and happy style.

I asked Santa Claus for an Amouage perfume, but he brought me Palo Santo by Natura. We’re in tough times here in Argentina and I haven’t been such a good boy myself. But I must admit this fragrance has captivated me. With one spray you become a hippie travelling through Latin America with a Manu Chao tattoo. You lose the urge to bathe and start viewing archaic Cuban policies with affection. Ideal with sandals, Bali trousers, a colourful t-shirt, leather bracelets and a wool backpack. Great perfume for the price. Perfect for a home look or a relaxed, happy style.

  • I tried it and thought it was very nice. It’s very similar to Homem Tato, but ‘improved’ to make it even more like Bvlgari Man in Black. Sweet, nice, heavy floral, even a bit liquorish. That said, it gives the impression of not projecting much.

  • The Natura Essential Palo Santo is a fragrance that stands out for its woody and amber profile, with a balsamic and incense touch that makes it a suitable and underrated option for those without a large budget. Perfect for the colder months, its warm and comforting composition creates a warm and serene atmosphere. The opening is marked by those woody notes that intertwine with the amber, but what really defines this perfume is its distinctive balsamic touch, a characteristic hallmark of the Natura house. This nuance may not be to everyone’s taste, especially for those not used to the intensity of this type of composition, so it is not recommended to buy blind. Regarding longevity and projection, it excels. Its longevity is impressive, lasting around 8 hours, while its projection is notable in the first 2 hours, leaving a persistent trail without being overwhelming. In summary, it is a sophisticated fragrance, ideal for those seeking something warm, woody and incense-like, but with the precaution that its balsamic touch might not be for everyone. Without a doubt, a perfume for those who love fragrances with character and depth, especially during winter. Rating: 7.5/10.

  • Great perfume. The palo santo and incense feel good, balanced with a sweet touch of rose. The amber adds the smoky element. Delicious, but it’s not a perfume to please everyone, but to enjoy. Edit: It’s no longer discontinued.

  • Quite good. It’s a fairly rounded and very balanced scent. It’s a palo santo that isn’t dry or toasted, quite fresh. It’s not that smell I hate so much from palo santo burned by hippies outside the metro or in their shops. It’s for spring or autumn in the late afternoon and evening and is more intimate. It’s too heavy for a hot day, but it doesn’t project enough to go out at night. Brilliant for dates or family gatherings. I would buy it in decant format only; it wasn’t strong enough to justify buying the full bottle.

  • Rick Azafranado

A perfume unlike anything you’ve tried. Perhaps a faint reminiscence of Tom Ford’s Oud Wood, but only 20%. This one is more wearable because, in addition to being woody and aromatic, it highlights a sweet balsamic note. A gem from Natura, it’s discontinued. Here in La Serena, Chile, I found it by pure luck with a Natura saleswoman. It cost me $23 (23,000 Chilean pesos), a bargain. The Natura Essentials line is the most expensive from the brand, and this came out at the price of Kaiaj, hahaha. I got very lucky. However, it’s not a perfume for everyone; it’s not for university students who want to live off parties, being silly and dancing. It’s for people with well-formed judgement and personality. Ideal for work in winter, a work dinner, or with family at a nice restaurant with semi-formal to formal attire.

  • Rick Azafranado

I’m commenting on this perfume again. I wore it because it’s getting cold in La Serena and the dry-down is wonderful. The opening is purely palo santo, but the dry-down… mummy, what richness.

  • I bought it blind and fell in love at first sight. It’s different from everything else but easy to enjoy. I wouldn’t wear it just in winter, but for mild, warm days, in the evening or at night, it works wonderfully. I think I might like it more than the Essential Oud, which is my favourite so far from the brand. Well done, Natura!

  • EstebanCerin

Smells exquisite, with a very prominent palo santo note and a touch of black pepper that gives it just the right amount of spice. I love it because it doesn’t give me a headache like other perfumes; I can wear it all day without it affecting me. In fact, it was this scent that led me into the world of perfumery.
