  • At first I thought it was one of the ugliest perfumes I have heard, but after two days it is not unpleasant. It is not versatile nor for any age, but for someone older; it is not unisex, it is masculine and sweet, with no vanilla until it dries down after hours. Close to the skin it lasts a long time: strong at the start, then it mellows leaving something herbal and fresh (perhaps fir), alcoholic, bitter, and woody with a pleasant touch of oud. Over time it sweetens, predominating a rare honey-like vanilla, while the liquor lasts almost its entire life.

  • It opens with a cognac-like distillate, then spices wrapped in vanilla and soft agarwood, typical of the Middle East. Complex evolution, but the originality fails: it is very similar to Essencial Elixir and Mirra, being redundant if you already own them. It smells like a high perfumery oriental, but at Natura it does not perform as much as its price suggests.

  • Good longevity and bargain price. Opens like a fresh liquor that finishes with creamy Brazilian vanilla. Loved!

  • I do not understand the hype for the Essential Oud Classic nor this one. The first is synthetic and sweet; this one is flat, without personality, and very linear. I smell creamy vanilla and little else. The oud is very far away and is not of medium quality. It does not smell synthetic, but neither rich nor striking. 5/10.

  • What a strange and good perfume! At first sniff, it reminds children of Sprite and women of a rich, very masculine olive oil. I recommend it for nights of passion, it complements the whole atmosphere, and with lingerie it boosts the eroticism by 200%; with a hot shower, the scent does not leave the skin. Ideal for intimate moments. It is not suitable for clubs, it is just right for a romantic dinner, and for work only until noon. Recommended for those over 23-24 years old.

  • It lacks a bit of body and depth… but for the price, it is a beast, and even more so if you catch it on offer, it is a total bargain. I loved how it dries down and that it does not smell synthetic; the quality is good. The notes unfold throughout the day. I give it an 8/10 for quality and price.

  • Firstly, it is not for everyone: it is extremely sweet and sexy. I do not think it is just for winter as many say, yes, it is exclusive for the night. It is perfect for dates, it worked brilliantly for me, and it is always one of my favourites. As with the entire Oud Essential line, the quality-to-price ratio is surprising. 10/10 for fragrance.

  • It is the first time I have tried it and I was blown away. I wore it on a cold night and its projection and longevity were brutal; on clothes, there is no talking about it, it is still intact after 48 hours. It is a sweet woody scent that breaks the mould; perhaps it is not for everyone, but give it a chance. I recommend it.

  • Rorrovasquez

Quality versus price is inevitable with this type of fragrance; a 10/10. Few deliveries offer such performance and compliments. On my skin, the wood and vanilla are constantly present, while the distilled/liquor aroma is more of an opening. It’s a somewhat flat perfume but with incredible longevity (8 hours on skin and 24 on clothes). Do not buy blind, but if you like uncommon perfumes, it is highly recommended.

  • Rorrovasquez

Always quality versus price is discussed, and here the deal is sealed: 10/10. Few perfumes offer such performance and compliments. On my skin, the wood and vanilla dominate throughout; the distilled note is only present at the beginning. It is a slightly flat scent, but the longevity is insane (8 hours on skin, 24 on clothes). Do not buy it blindly, but if you are looking for something uncommon, it is a must.

  • Excellent perfume. I read somewhere that some people detect a smell of rubber ducks. I’ve been wearing it for a while now and I understand why: the scent is talc-like, with shapes resembling droplets bursting from something juicy and sweet, like squeezing an aloe vera and watching its juices run out, always with yellow, light brown, and pungent tones in the nose. It lasts for days on clothes, projects very well, and has great staying power. Recommended. I bought it blind and have no regrets.

  • A special flanker: friendly, balanced, and mysterious; it’s suitable for everyday wear without being heavy, overly niche, or ultra-ambery. The rum note (cane rum) and the combination of so-called Brazilian vanilla (a molecular replica of an endangered Amazonian orchid) with a less intense accord than traditional sweet vanilla are truly exquisite. The balsamic woody notes blend masterfully with the fir (resinous, herbal, similar to Hugo Boss Man Cantimplora or Cartier Pasha Parfum), creating a contemporary, bold, and sophisticated feel—clean and refined, finishing with a wonderful dry-down on skin. Longevity on skin is good and projection is moderate; they should definitely give it time to oxidate and age to reveal its true potential. A bargain for what the Natura Essencial line offers, alongside the other flankers (I recommend Essencial Oud Pimienta, a differentiating factor for immersing oneself in the oriental world of oud, roses, and spices). Full respect to Verónica Kato and Natura for bringing such unique elements to their catalogue fragrances.

  • A special flanker that is friendly and balanced, with a mysterious touch that lasts all day without being overly spiced or ultra-ambery. Its cane rum note blends beautifully with Bahian vanilla (a molecular replica of an endangered Amazonian orchid) and a less intense traditional vanilla accord; it is truly exquisite. The balsamic wood notes combine masterfully with fir (resinous and herbal, similar to Hugo Boss Man Cantimplora or Cartier Pasha Parfum), creating a contemporary, bold, and sophisticated feel, finishing with a wonderful dry-down on the skin. Good longevity, moderate projection; definitely give it time to oxidise to see its true potential. Laughing-stock price for what this Essential line from Natura offers, alongside the other flankers (highly recommended is Essential Oud Pepper, a differentiating factor for an oriental immersion of oud, roses and spices). Total respect to Verónica Kato and Natura for bringing unique elements to the catalogue.

  • Excellent fragrance, though I’m not a huge fan of this style, especially given the heat in my city; I usually prefer fresh scents like Hugo Boss, CK One, 360° Red, Versace Fraiche, or perfumes such as Carolina Herrera. However, this smells elegant and pleasant, has excellent quality, and I recommend it 100%. I bought it blind and am very satisfied.

  • Excellent fragrance. However, this one is elegant and pleasant, with excellent quality. I bought it blind and it was a total hit. Recommended 100%.

Another decant I tried on a day and it has great quality. It bears a slight resemblance to D&G The One Parfum, but only superficially. I can’t find the classic oud or typical vanilla; this is aromatic wood with liquorice, and if I must say, a vanilla unlike those in cakes, nothing to do with them. It’s less heavy, more liquorice-forward, macerated, with a light, rich resinous wood. In short, better than I expected, with above-average performance: 8 hours comfortably on clothes and much more with a pleasant trail that gets you many compliments.

  • I hesitated before buying perfume again, but I have no regrets: the opening is intoxicating, with a powdery, addictive vanilla that isn’t sweet at all—I absolutely love it. Unlike other Essencial versions, this is super versatile, exactly what I was looking for to wear almost year-round. The best thing about Natura is the longevity: 8 hours on skin and 24 on clothes, outperforming designer fragrances.

  • It took me a while to buy a perfume again and I have no regrets. It has a boozy touch in the opening and a powdery, addictive, yet not sweet vanilla that I loved. Unlike other Essential versions, this is very versatile and is exactly what I was looking for to wear almost every season. The best thing about Natura is the longevity: 8 hours on skin and 24 on clothes, outperforming designer fragrances.

  • Longevity and projection are more than excellent. It smells great and generates compliments. Just bear in mind it’s a green vanilla, not sweet, with an aroma similar to tea.

  • I bought it blind and was pleasantly surprised by the high quality it radiates. While I consider it unique, it immediately reminds me of the Gentleman Eau Parfum by Givenchy from 2018, with hints of D&G One EDP and a touch of Spice Bomb.

  • Herbal vanilla, nothing gourmand or overly sweet. That liquorice note at the start. Longevity and projection on skin are over two hours. The bottle, the box with Braille, their sustainable policies, and the perfumer. THE BEST FRAGRANCE FROM NATURA SO FAR. PERIOD.

  • My favourite from Natura, truly on its own merits. Perfect for cool days, winter, or going out at night. The trail is powerful and the longevity is incredible: 10 hours on skin and it’s still there after a shower; on clothes it lasts for days. It opens with a sharp citrus and a liquorice note, which isn’t very friendly for the first 30 minutes. Then comes that unique bitter green vanilla, the Bahiana, which, along with the woods and resins, transforms into a dark, elegant vanilla without being sweet. The only touch of sweetness comes very discreetly from the saffron and amber. Ideal for special occasions. I have five bottles in reserve in case they take it off the catalogue. 10/10. Definitely don’t buy blindly.

  • Totally unisex with an absolutely brutal longevity, lasting over 12 hours. I’m not usually a fan of oud, but I’ve fallen in love with this fragrance.

  • To me, it doesn’t seem rich; it’s very bitter and alcoholic; I didn’t like it at all, it just doesn’t suit me.

  • naso_en_ciernes

Honestly, it didn’t say much to me beyond the usual current trends, nor did I look for similarities. For fans of this vibe, it will be a good option. A fragrance with prominent vanilla, a soft touch of alcoholic beverage, and a woody base, more than a raw, rough oud. It’s sweet, winter-appropriate, of medium intensity, but as an EDP it has good longevity on the skin. The sillage depends on the number of sprays; in cold weather, it lends itself to being generous to unleash its warmth. Perfectly unisex-masculine, for casual outings and best suited for those, rather than daily wear. I highlight that in South America, Natura prices, at least for this line, have risen, nearing the average price when bought without a deal (it’s not a cheapie line).

  • maurito_bourquin

What stays on this fragrance is unmatched. I sprayed it on a card to test it and forgot about it. Almost a month later, I found the card under some papers and when I brought it close to my nose, the fragrance was still there, crisp. The challenge is finding occasions to wear it; that alcoholic vanilla is quite sharp and invasive for the wearer. I’d apply it on body areas further from the nose.

  • Cocometal

I feel it’s similar to Colors Man Black. I own both, and the Benetton one is much cheaper. Don’t get fooled!

  • After the hype, I went to Natura to try it alongside the classic Essential Oud. On my skin: after more than 12 hours, both are still fixed, with the classic one still projecting a little. On the Oud Vainilla: the opening is pleasant, the first hour smells elegant, poised to become sweet but stops at the right note, thanks to that green vanilla which is different from a dessert and more akin to tea. Projection is average. After drying down, about three hours later, it becomes flat, lacking nuances, and gradually acquires an artificial, dry scent that intensifies close to the skin. On the classic, the opening isn’t as good but after the second hour it develops and I can’t stop smelling it. Its dry-down is also artificial but leans more towards incense. I don’t recommend buying blind or solely based on the opening; evaluate the dry-down.

  • It’s a woody, sweet, and elegant fragrance, soft and balanced. Neither the wood smells like oud nor the vanilla like such; it’s a subtle, seductive sweetness with warm, elegant floral nuances, backed by a creamy woody base. The sweetness is superbly balanced. The alcoholic note doesn’t feel burnt but adds body and creamy warmth, like a good brandy combined with amber to create a sweetened, seductive, and sophisticated sensation. Ideal for cooler climates; although it’s not a projection bomb, it’s perfect for romantic encounters or formal events.

  • nicoracunparfum

The opening is a refreshing lime-lemon with vanilla and alcohol, the most charming part. The dry-down leaves a barely noticeable oud and a very mild vanilla; it delivers but doesn’t change anyone’s life. In my experience, it appeals greatly to those seeking fresh or non-commercial sweet scents. If you try it and like it, it’s a great option thanks to its exceptional longevity of over eight hours. It doesn’t project much, but the trail is heavy when you move.

  • This woody, masculine fragrance with a sweet touch is intense and enveloping, ideal for those seeking depth. The oud is noticeable from the start, giving that warm, resinous feel that defines its personality. Longevity is excellent, lasting hours on the skin with a noticeable trail that isn’t overwhelming. However, its potency makes it better suited for cold weather and evening wear, where its olfactory richness truly shines. It’s not a buy-blind fragrance; its intense profile may not suit everyone. But for those who enjoy sophisticated scents, it’s a safe bet. Rating: 7.5/10.

  • Rick Azafranado

A soft oud with wonderful vanilla. Warm and sweet yet perfectly balanced. A gem from Natura at a spectacular price.

  • Smells like whisky with Sprite; I heard that once and it put me off. It’s the worst of the Essencials trio.

  • A lovely flanker of Esencial Oud. The vanilla isn’t cloying at all; instead, it has a bitter, highly aromatic touch; a true delight for the senses.

  • Beware of the vanilla in the name! This is an eminently aromatic fragrance with a potent blend of woods and patchouli. It is not sweet. Although I don’t believe in gendered scents, it is unisex. It’s not my style, but if you enjoy oriental or woody perfumes, you will adore it.

  • Charlienom

It gives me a creamy oriental vibe from the vanilla, but nothing as cloying as Billie Eilish #1; it’s more milky vanilla. It subtly reminded me of Alexandria II, stripping away the fruity notes and reducing the smokiness. There is clearly an oud accord, though it’s not real oud. It’s neither masculine nor feminine; it’s unisex and original. I detect a green touch, like oud wood, rather than cardamom. On the arm, it smells like this, but as it dries down it changes: the vanilla creaminess remains, the copaiba from Natura emerges, along with a hint of saffron. Longevity and projection are moderate but noticeable. If you want more potency, layer it with something stronger and smokier.

  • Andrea 🇵🇪 a29

I was worried because I rarely like woods, but it’s not overwhelming. It didn’t disgust me in the slightest. It smells of wood with vanilla, that’s all. Over time, the woodiness fades a little. It’s a strong, powerful, sensual scent, and the vanilla makes it feminine. If you are a fan of potent smells, you will like it.

  • Lagioianena91

It’s very different. If it smells like yerba mate, think again. At first glance, it smells like glue or raw dough, but upon analysis, it’s yerba. My husband said it smells like chocolate and he isn’t far off; all the blended notes give off chocolate. To me, it’s an earthy, woody scent, a cousin of incense but more earthy. The olfactory pyramid is upside down: it’s earth. It takes you back to mud, to clay, to past rain and drying earth. Of the elements, it’s earth, the colour brown. It’s not tropical; it’s wild.

  • Carolina Kan LA

Beautiful, enveloping, different, and with excellent performance. For those who like woods; otherwise, they won’t like it. It’s perfect for winter, it warms the soul. It provides a cosy and elegant sensation, like having a hot chocolate in the mountains by the fire. You can combine it with Essencial Exclusivo if you want to refresh the woody notes. It’s wonderful!

  • AndyLaRosa

A spectacular move by Natura with this vanilla-infused oud version. Truly a soft, exquisite luxury at a very low cost, with the quality of a high-end perfume. Applause. The Oud Pimienta is the same but stronger.

  • Manuelamartin

I bought it blind, trusting the notes, but I can’t wear it. It gives me a headache; it’s far too strong and the patchouli is very noticeable.

  • Manuelamartin

I bought it blind because the notes suggested I would like it, but I really can’t wear it; it gives me a headache, it’s too strong, and the patchouli is very noticeable.

  • Extremely elegant, attractive, mysterious and unisex. It’s a dark vanilla, for a suit and tie or a black dress, with wet and intriguing flowers. A chocolatey, vanilla, floral and earthy aroma. It’s a machine for compliments and glances. Simply exquisite, it demands temperate and cold climates, preferably in enclosed spaces or at dusk. Over 8 hours on skin and eternal on fabric. Formidable projection of 3 to 4 hours. A must-buy for lovers of fine and complex perfumery.

  • Extremely elegant, attractive, mysterious and unisex. It’s a dark vanilla, for a suit and tie or a black dress, with wet and intriguing flowers. A chocolatey, vanilla-floral and earthy aroma. It’s a machine for compliments and glances. Simply exquisite; it asks for temperate or cold climates, preferably in enclosed places or at dusk. More than 8 hours on skin and eternal on fabric. Formidable projection of 3 to 4 hours. A must-buy for lovers of fine and complex perfumery.

  • Essential Oud Vanilla is a jewel for mature olfactory palates unafraid of sophistication. It performs as well as niche houses or Tom Ford at a fair price. It opens with earthy, damp vanilla, far from the sweet kind, with citrus giving way to a dry-down that is amber, warm, and spiced like cinnamon, all over delicious woods and resins. It is not identical to the original Oud, but rather its stylish cousin. It reminds me of Ekos Alma, but I prefer it; it’s festive and ideal for autumn and winter. It projects well and lasts 6-8 hours depending on the weather. If you use Thierry Mugler, this is for you.

  • An excellent perfume with personality and charm; men are fascinated by it. At first it recalls Tobacco Vanille, but it surpasses it. Then it becomes chocolatey with smoky woods; that dry vanilla mutating over time is incredible. I fell in love; it’s super sexy, lasts all day, and you can move around without needing to reapply. It doesn’t bother anyone, only compliments. It crushes expensive big brands that last less than 3 hours. I love it.

  • Sorry, I didn’t like it at all. I bought it blindly and luckily only spent the 25ml version. I feel it smells like incense and doesn’t convince me. I will gift it away. I love the original Oud and Pepper, but I do not recommend buying this without smelling it first in a sample.

  • I’m sorry, but I just didn’t like it. I bought it blind and, luckily, only spent money on the small 25 ml version. To me, it smells of incense and simply doesn’t suit me. I’m going to gift it away. I adore Oud Essentiel and Oud Piment, but I can’t recommend this one a jot without trying it first.

  • Well, well. If you have tried Tom Ford’s Tobacco Vanille or Zara’s Warm Black, you will agree that Essential Oud Vanilla reminds you of those two, especially at the start. They are not identical because the others have more tobacco, but applying Natura inevitably makes me think of them. I said the original Oud is not difficult, but this one is; it is niche in every sense of the word. It is potent, balsamic, spiced, and dark; after half an hour it becomes more bearable. Totally unisex in the dry-down, more masculine at the start. Do not buy blindly. Excellent quality, a beast in longevity: over 20 hours and it projects well.

  • I tried both versions, men’s and women’s, and it’s totally unisex. It opens strong with saffron and woods, then after an hour they drop and the flowers with natural vanilla take control. Finally, the flowers fade and wood and vanilla remain. On my skin, it lasted 24 hours. I think it’s more versatile for the male type and a bit more sophisticated for women. It’s not something to buy blind, but for price/quality I give it a 9/10.

  • It smells very much of processed, bitter yerba mate; perhaps Natura forgot that not everyone likes mate like that. That is why they should not have put vanilla unless it was gourmand. It lacked that.

  • I tried both presentations; I feel totally unisex. Intense opening with saffron and woods that fade after an hour; there the feminine floral notes take the lead with a natural vanilla, the woods remain present but less intense. Then the flowers yield at the end to the woods and vanilla. Times vary by skin, but on me it lasted 24 hours. I feel it is more versatile for men and sophisticated for women; do not buy blindly, but for price/quality I give it 9/10.

  • I recommend it for intimate moments. It is not suitable for clubs; for a romantic dinner it is just right, and for work only in the morning; by midday and afternoon it is not suitable. Recommended age: over 23 or 24 years.

  • danzaesencia

Who did I invite on my summer beach holidays? Essential Oud and Vanilla! As soon as I received it, I knew it would be my evening and night fragrance by the Caribbean sea. At first it feels like a dark, wild vanilla in a dense environment of woods and herbs, like a yerba mate tea sweetened with honey. It is not floral nor gourmand. It is an exotic and powerful vanilla, the Bahian one, which I did not know until this Essential. Between cumaru, saffron, and frankincense, it smells liquorice-like and tobacco-infused. It could be niche for lovers of Bahian Vanilla and Wood. Moderate projection and trail. Without a doubt, I will bring it back.

  • It’s a bold gamble, yet it has character. The vanilla smells distinct, almost fresh, while the woods give it weight. It’s not my style, so I wouldn’t recommend buying it without trying, though I admit it’s well-made and has a sophisticated air. It suits anyone.

  • danzaesencia

Who did I invite to my beach holidays? Yes! the Oud and vanilla of this Essencial. As soon as I received it, I knew it would be my night fragrance by the Caribbean sea. First, it smells of dark and wild vanilla on a dense background of wood and herbs, like a yerba mate tea with honey. It’s not floral or gourmand. The vanilla isn’t the sweet dessert kind, but an exotic and powerful Bahian vanilla I didn’t know until now. Among cumaru, saffron, and incense, there is a unique liquorice and tobacco touch. For me, it’s niche for lovers of Bahian vanilla and wood. Moderate projection and trail. Without a doubt, I will take it on my next holidays.

  • Perfumadict

Definitely innovative for my nose. A vanilla distinct from memory, with woods very present. I would not use it and do not advise buying blindly, but it is well-made and smells sophisticated. Totally unisex.

  • I’ve had it for weeks and only recently gave it a chance. I love it more and more; I like its dry character and feel a tobacco effect. The sweetness comes from the woody and spicy notes, not the vanilla—I don’t detect any sweetness. It’s unusual, but I love wearing it and wearing it (lasts a minimum of 6 hours). There might be a distant relation to classic oud, but the other version is fruity/floral, nothing like this one.

  • I was looking for something sweet with oud, but there’s no sweetness here and the oud is scarce. On my skin, it’s dry and woody, which I love, though that milky note isn’t for me. After half an hour, it fades and only the woody aspect remains; it doesn’t project much. At first, it seems too light for indoors or summer, but for me, it fits perfectly for the office and daily wear. Ideal for enjoying every day. Edit: poor longevity, stays on the skin for a maximum of 2 hours.

  • I bought it for my wife, but we both use it as it’s the only unisex among the Essentials. For me, it’s the Argentine edition: it opens strong with a different oud, oriental and incensed, resembling masculine myrrh. The other key note is the dark Brazilian vanilla, nothing sweet or cloying like desserts. Mostly, on skin, I detect incense/myrrh more than vanilla. They say the Brazilian one smells like yerba mate and flowers, but in this one I didn’t detect the yerba and the flowers are overshadowed by the oud/vanilla combo. Totally unisex, unlike the feminine oud as I understand it.

  • I bought it for my wife, but we both use it as it’s essentially the only one I consider unisex. For me, it’s the Argentine edition: strong opening with the oud (similar to the feminine oud), but the oud is different—oriental and incensed, resembling masculine myrrh. Another standout note is the dark Brazilian vanilla, not the sweet, cloying dessert vanilla that accompanies the fragrance almost throughout its duration. On my skin, I detect incense/myrrh more than vanilla. They say the Brazilian edition smells like yerba mate and flowers, but in this one, I didn’t detect the yerba and the flowers are overshadowed by the oriental oud/vanilla combo. Totally unisex, unlike the feminine oud as I understand it.

  • Edit: Spicy and very fresh opening, you can smell the citrus. Then the yerba mate takes centre stage, reducing the spiciness and leaving a fresh sensation with honey. On skin, as it dries down, the sweeter side emerges less herbally; on paper, the yerba is more noticeable. On skin, the vanilla and balsamic side are more potent, creating a cooked mate with honey and vanilla. It’s gourmand but unusual; I had to smell it several times to make my diagnosis. The vanilla isn’t dessert-style; it’s darker and honeyed. As it dries, it resembles the men’s version quite a bit but without the overpowering liquor note. It lasted an hour and a bit on my skin; the last to fade is the vanilla, barely perceptible. At first, I thought it was strange and shocking, a full-on sweet amber with an indistinguishable note menu at the start. It settled on my skin and I felt that note swirling until my nose distinguished it (with the help of Fragrantica, haha): yerba mate! What a strange thing… the fragrance didn’t suit me, but when my head clicked, I was hit with a childhood nostalgia. It smells similar to Taragüí cooked mate, children with honey and vanilla that are no longer produced. It’s sweet and unusual; you have to try it. It doesn’t seem to have much evolution; it fades away. And the oud? Haha.

  • I’ve had it for a while; they brought it from Brazil (I’m in Argentina and it hasn’t been seen here yet). I detect it similar to the Feminine Oud for a short while, just after spraying, but then it takes another path. It’s much less floral than the Feminine Oud. The vanilla here is dry and dark, so it doesn’t feel like pastry sweetness. The combination with the recreated oud gives a tipsy effect, dry sweet, dark, and rather nocturnal. I can’t say if it’s complex, but it certainly requires a few sprays to get familiar with. Longevity is as good as the Feminine Oud, and I believe projection is too. A few weeks ago, I received a sample of Montale’s Chocolate Greedy, and the truth is that the dry-down of the Oud Vanilla is in the same vibe as the Chocolate Greedy (not the opening which smells like opening a packet of sweet biscuits). Even in my head, I relate it to the sweetness of Tom Ford’s Femme Noir. Yes, there will be those who say it’s undignified to compare Montale and Tom Ford with Natura, but in this case, it’s a very good production by the Brazilian house. Let’s put prejudices aside: if it smells good, it smells good. Having said all this, it’s not for me… I don’t know how to relate to it. It seems very lovely but I don’t know if I could wear it. Perhaps it’s a matter of time, as happens with many Natura scents: in the first moments they give one sensation, but when you use them and get to know them better, they give another (some tire you out, others hook you more), but I don’t see the point in the large bottle. If anyone in Argentina is interested, write to me.
