Imari Elixir 2015 by Avon

Very powdery, no fruity notes at all, just dense. I wear it occasionally because it gives me headaches.

A little gem from Avon at an incredible price! At first, it seemed very powdery and dense, but after giving it another chance, I love it and don’t want it to run out. It’s delicious; you can taste the raspberry, vanilla, and a lovely spicy kick. It has excellent longevity and sillage. Ideal for winter.

I love this perfume! I adore it; super sweet, seductive, and delicious. It’s discontinued in Argentina, but I found it, and the Imari line hasn’t disappointed me; one is richer than the other. Sincerely, less so than the classic (I only have the cologne, and it doesn’t suit my taste as I seek very sweet aromas and find it too intense; I estimate it should be sweeter. Anyway, I use it occasionally to finish it off). The others available here (Corset, Seduction, and Fantasy) are delicious; except Seduction, which doesn’t perform well on me, lasts very little, and I wouldn’t repurchase. The others are long-lasting and accessible. Blossom, which is also available, is very rich (caramelised apples or honey, quite intense) and lasts, but I don’t suggest buying blindly. Back to Imari Elixir: I really detect the blackberry, that slightly acidic apple note, and plenty of vanilla. On my skin, the fruity notes stand out over the florals (though I sensed a bit of rose, which isn’t my favourite note, but in this combination, I’m fascinated by it. I don’t detect the jasmine). I do perceive a smoky note, perhaps slightly woody, giving it a special, mature, and complex touch. I can’t quite identify what it is, but I love it: it attracts me, enhances it, makes it interesting, mysterious, and sensual. It’s ideal for cold seasons due to its sweetness (or on hot days at night when it cools down, I think it would work better). I didn’t notice it being intrusive or overwhelming (I tested it during the day in the heat with just a few sprays and it was fine, although I didn’t use much in summer). I’ll enjoy it in autumn and winter. I wear it without a special occasion, just because I like to feel it; I imagine this perfume for a romantic date, controlling the sprays so as not to overdo it, and it would be excellent. Of all the Imaris I’ve tried, this is the one I like most, pure beauty. It inspires sensuality, femininity, and attraction; it’s sophisticated and different. I highly recommend it to women who like sweet aromas and are tired of classic gourmand, vanilla, or sugar scents (which I love but already find tiring and want to broaden my olfactory palette with something more complex, with different evolution, or that doesn’t cloy so much). I recommend it to anyone seeking a distinct aroma, with mystery and sensuality, more suited to night. Although it has no age restrictions, I feel it resonates better with people aged 25 and above; it’s not youthful or teenage, in my opinion Imari Fantasy might be more youthful and cover a wider age range. With Imari Elixir, it’s best to try before buying blindly, as it’s not for everyone. I did buy it blindly based on the notes, assuming I’d like it, and my opinion is: exquisite! I fell completely in love. I’m looking for another to replace it when this runs out, but I can’t find it in the catalogue yet, though I have hope. For its price, I think it’s an Avon gem; I don’t understand why they discontinue delicious fragrances. It’s a pity. I don’t think I’d get tired of wearing it; it’s worth acquiring or at least trying.

Very happy with this perfume that arrived yesterday! As mentioned below, blackberry, vanilla, and rose. It has a slight smoky hint. I find it somewhat mysterious and dark. I love the slightly acidic touch the blackberries give alongside the other notes. It has a sweetness very different from gourmands, which personally cloy me. I’m just starting to test it, but I think I’ll use it a lot. For now, it seems to have good longevity and sillage. At that price, I’ll surely repurchase.

Imari Elixir eau de toilette by Avon is a fragrance felt from the first moment: blackberries with rose and vanilla at the end. It’s elegant and pleasant to the nose, with moderate sillage and a longevity of approximately 3 to 4 hours. Suitable for people aged 25 and above, its use is more appropriate for cold climates. A very good fragrance for events.

For the price, it is a powerful oriental bomb.

It was a blind buy and a wonderful surprise. The opening isn’t heavy or intense; it’s very wearable from the first moment. It smells of blackberry with warm vanilla; it’s sweet yet fruity, not gourmand. Although it has amber, it doesn’t smell like a typical oriental perfume. I was longing for a ripe blackberry scent, nothing like what I used in my teens. There’s a hint of Halloween Shot at the start due to the tangerine, but then it differentiates. I prefer the intensity of this one, which is warmer. A great addition to my collection at a fantastic price. Scent 7/10, Longevity 6/10, Sillage 7/10, Value for money 8/10, Versatility 8/10, Packaging 6/10. Would I buy it again? Yes.

Of all the Imaris I’ve tried, this is my second favourite, after Fantasy. It’s quite sweet and has an oriental touch that I love.

It has a peculiar, sour smell, like medicine or a pharmacy; it smells good, like soapy grape. It doesn’t quite convince me… The English reviews on Fragrantica tell the story of the Imari sisters: the obedient one is the original, the sensual one is the purple, the tender one is Fantasy, and the rebellious and promiscuous one is just the Elixir. It’s mandatory to smell it: Fantasy is much friendlier, but Elixir is temperamental and I don’t recommend buying blind. The opening is uncomfortable, but the dry down is sweet and liquorice-like, mysterious and elegant… it turns heads.

I dissolve it in açaí water and it smells the same, at least in the middle. The drink is a crack and by logic the perfume is too. It projects a lot and is fantastic in winter.

Hello… I bought this perfume because I liked its composition and the references, but at the magazine testers where you run your hand over the paper, it’s a farce: it approaches the scent but disappoints greatly. I am very regretful; I had to give it to my mum. It’s nothing youthful; it’s heavy and dominates the blackberries exclusively. It’s intense and so sweet that it makes me feel sick, even though I love sweet winter perfumes.

Smells sweet, projects a lot and intensely of blackberries and roses with a smoky touch and patchouli/amber. Very nice and economical, a cheap version of Kenzo Amour Elixir.

What a pleasure this perfume is! It lasts forever on the skin. At first, it’s a bit strong, but over time, that exquisite black raspberry scent really comes through. I absolutely love it. The value for money is top-notch because it’s cheap and lasts for hours. My compliments to Avon for this one; I loved it until the very end.
