  • For me, it’s a dupe of Marc Jacobs Decadent. The opening is powdery and floral, but as it dries down, it smells almost identical. What joy, as my signature fragrance has been discontinued and now costs almost $400. Finding something so similar is a blessing.

I was overjoyed to find it, as my signature fragrance has been discontinued and the remaining ones cost almost $400. Finding something that smells so similar is a blessing.

  • What a rich perfume!! I’m completely in love with it; the only thing that makes me sad is its longevity.

I confirm that buying blind based on tempting reviews is a bad idea. Victoria’s Secret fragrances no longer have their old charm for me. However, since I always buy gifts for my family’s brand fangirls, I decided to treat myself too after queuing in a crowded store. I chose the Very Sexy Orchid rollerball, which seemed the most suitable according to reviews. The good: although rollerballs usually have poor projection and longevity, this one doesn’t; with two sprays it smells until the wall opposite and lasts forever, so in spray it would be a bombshell. But for me, it’s too cloying, brash, and ultra-synthetic, even smelling cheap (and mind you, this 7ml format isn’t cheap). I’m not a snob: there are cheap synthetics I love, just as much as hyper-sexualised night perfumes. But this perfume smells to me of everything I dislike: too much effort to appear mysterious and sensual, ending up looking like another sheep disguised as a luxury wolf. In short, don’t buy it without trying.

It confirmed to me that blind buying carries the devil. Victoria’s Secret fragrances no longer have charm for me, but since I always buy things for my family’s brand fangirls in physical stores, I decided to treat myself too. I chose Very Sexy Orchid in rollerball. The good: although rollerballs are usually stingy, this one radiates until the wall opposite and lasts forever, so in spray it must be a bombshell. But it’s not what I want to project: it’s too cloying, brash, and ultra-synthetic, even making me smell cheap. • I didn’t like it at all. Although it’s potent, the patchouli dominates and smells synthetic.
