Descripción
Sì Intense by Giorgio Armani is a fruity chypre fragrance for women. Launched in 2014, this composition was created by perfumer Julie Massé. The opening unfolds with fresh notes of blackcurrant, prune, freesia, mandarin and bergamot. The heart reveals a floral and herbaceous harmony featuring May rose, osmanthus, neroli and hyssop, while the base settles on a warm and enveloping foundation of vanilla, patchouli, woody notes and ambroxan.

I wore Intense with fear, but no: it lasts a long time, isn’t intrusive, and wraps around with elegance. The trail is moderate, appearing and disappearing, so I feel comfortable and secure about not bothering anyone on the commute. It smells of sweet fruits, like opening a tin of peaches in juice, then blackcurrant and sweet-and-sour mandarin, with a base of wood and vanilla. It makes my mouth water! It’s a pleasure.
Like Marifer, I was wary of the ‘intense’ bit, but I noticed more nuances than the Eau de Parfum. It’s ideal for using sparingly, wearing it during the day, or better still, in the evening for dinner. The packaging with the black cap and gold letters gives it a super elegant touch.
Well… at first I felt it was very boozy, syrupy, and with fruit that was too ripe. Then it evolved just like the first of the Sìs. I don’t see much difference from the original. Cheers.
I’ve already bought three versions of ‘Sì’ and without a second’s hesitation: Sì INTENSE! The EDP (black cap) is my favourite over the EDT, which lasts nothing on clothes despite the good reviews. I love it! What a shame the price has soared here.
I adore the Sì range, but none of them sit well on my skin; I have to reapply several times to feel it. This is the only one that lasts a while, but I’d love for it to last much longer.
What a fantastic perfume! I tried the whole family, and although it sounds unbelievable, the classic didn’t convince me as much at first because they all blend together quite a bit later on. Passione is very floral-fruity but lacks the punch of its predecessors. Rose Signature smells lovely but fades quickly. The opening of Intense isn’t suffocating like the original, thanks to the orange, blackcurrant, and florals. The trail and longevity are incredible; if I don’t shower, it lasts all day. I’m sorry it’s so expensive, but it’s worth every penny. It has me hooked!
Perfume exquisite, the dry down is wonderful… The other Si flankers are very common scents to my taste; this one is elegant and you can’t stop smelling it… A marvel. It is sweet on my skin but not cloying, well woody yet sweet, with a tiny hint of tobacco. Very feminine… Exquisite!
Exquisite. The dry-down is wonderful… The other flankers of Sì smell very common to me; this one is elegant and you can’t stop smelling it. It’s sweet on my skin but not cloying, well woody but with a sweet touch and a very slight hint of tobacco. Very feminine. Exquisite!
I liked the original but wasn’t keen on buying it, so I tried this blind. At first, it felt a bit overwhelming; I’m not used to chypre-fruity scents. However, I let it develop and became utterly obsessed with that seductive blend of vanilla, blackcurrant and blackberry. It’s intoxicating, powerful and has a strong trail; it lasted over 10 hours on me. In the dry-down, I detect wood and patchouli, not the rose or the citrus notes. I wouldn’t recommend buying it blind; you need to test it on your skin and give it time. Without a doubt, I would buy it again.
I like the original Si perfume, but not enough to buy it, so I ventured to acquire this version blind. At first I found it invasive; I am not used to the chypre-fruity family. I let it evolve on my skin and fell in love with the combination of seductive vanilla with blackcurrants and cassis. It is an intoxicating, potent and seductive fragrance, with a trail from moderate to heavy and more than acceptable longevity; in my case, over 10 hours. In its dry down I pleasantly perceive woody notes and patchouli; I don’t distinguish the rose or the citrus touch. I do not recommend buying it blind; it is a scent that needs to be tested on the skin and given time. Without a doubt, I would buy it again.
Personally, I preferred the other format on the website; with a single glance you could see everything…
I feel the liqueur-like opening perfectly with the blackcurrants. I haven’t tried the original Si, but being a lover of intensives, I ordered it guided by the notes and it was an excellent blind buy. The trail and longevity are more than good; it dries down in an exquisite and delicious way.
Well, it was a gift. This is a cassis fragrance; judging by the fruits at the opening, it is liqueur-like, and given the ‘Intense’ name, I thought it would be potent and nocturnal, but it isn’t. It is very wearable; I don’t think it will bother anyone, contradicting its presentation. It is not a powerhouse, certainly; it is pure cassis juice, with a little mandarin, bergamot and the rose adds freshness, something aquatic. It has a very delicate patchouli and I think it lacks strength in the base notes. It is very light; I use it to go to work because it doesn’t bother. Its trail is medium-low and longevity is medium, about 7 hours on skin with normal application. I will finish the bottle because I love the black ones, but I expected much more from it.
I bought this fragrance blind and I have loved it. So far I only had the Rose Signature from the Si line, which I like, but this surpasses it by a wide margin. It came with a sample of the Si Passione, which I also liked, but less so. The three share the blackcurrant DNA, but I would say the Rose Signature and the Passione have a slightly more acidic touch, whereas the Intense is sweeter and warmer. The dominant note is clearly the blackcurrant, followed by the cassis and vanilla. Fortunately, I don’t detect the patchouli, as it is a note I cannot tolerate. I also notice the freesia, which gives it the floral touch and is a scent I adore. I often struggle with current perfumery because I am not used to the gourmand style, stuffed with patchouli, caramelised or over-sweetened with vanilla, or with unpleasant synthetic notes… But this surprised me: it has none of that. It is a very gentle perfume, with clean notes, sweet but in just the right measure, subtle and not cloying. Its weak point is that it is quite linear and not a fragrance of great originality, nothing unique or innovative like the incredible jewels. It is in the line of many berry-based fruity florals, but it is still a beautiful and very well-executed scent. Ideal for daily and daytime wear, for work, as I don’t see it being intrusive or causing rejection.
Has anyone who has tried the black bottle Sì Intense and this 2021 version commented on how they differ? Many thanks and greetings!
I just tried the new Intense 2021 and there is a huge difference. If you love the black bottle version, make a backup before it becomes impossible to find, because the 2021 does not replace it. While the black bottle is more woody, with that sugary-earthly touch of red fruits (like candied fruit) and a soft floral bath, the 2021 is rounder, sweeter and creamier; in this test I didn’t notice flowers, but rather a sweet, soft whole without being cloying. It has benzoin, I believe that is what differentiates them most. The 2021 sits closer to the skin and is rounder. Of course, I tested it in almost summer, we shall see how it fares in the cold. Personally, I preferred the 2021 to the black bottle, of which I have a decant and hesitate to use it because it seems a bit sweet to me.
This black bottle version is the one I love; I tried the 2021 edition and they are nothing alike. It’s a pity I can’t get it anymore, be careful because there are many fakes sold online. The black bottle is pure delight: glamorous, divine, woody with a rose that emerges in a unique way; there is no comparison. The 2021 version, in my opinion, bears a striking resemblance to the 1er Si, which I adore, but I don’t understand why they have two such similar perfumes. What a shame they aren’t continuing production.
I fell in love with this perfume all over again. I have a tiny bottle I cherish like a treasure. Yesterday I wore it after my shower and went to sleep with it on; upon waking, the scent was still firmly on my neck and pillowcase. I am absolutely crazy about this fragrance. The sweet blackcurrants with a woody base are incredibly sexy. It’s such a shame they’ve discontinued it, as the new versions don’t bear even a resemblance to the original.
