It’s like a winter version of Viva La Juicy: the same sweetness but for the cold, very good.
Strong, perfect for open spaces and cold weather. I’d recommend it for women over 30. 7 out of 10.
A strong perfume, perfect for open spaces and cold weather. I would recommend it for women over 30. 7 out of 10.
I consider it strong, sweet and woody. It’s one of my favourites, has been with me since my teenage years and simply cannot be missing from my collection. I recommend it; it’s more for night, but if you want to wear it by day, go ahead! People always ask what I’m wearing and I just say I’m from Mexico. My shop told me they were going to discontinue it, so if you have it, don’t hesitate. I’m going to buy it online.
Intense, characterful and nothing common. You either love it or hate it. A good alternative for winter.
I received it as a gift from my parents; it’s very intense and sweet. I used it almost always at night because it was too overwhelming during the day. These days, I don’t understand how someone at 23 would wear something so strong. It’s lovely, but very sweet.
Perfumes from the 80s and early 90s were punchy, characterful, and a bit narcotic. All that faded with the aquatic and relaxed vibe of the 90s. 273 Rodeo is an example of that era where excess was in fashion and crossing the line wasn’t a sin. It smells of a powerful burst of peach and apricot with white flowers, soft woods, and amber. It’s strident yet controlled, with a spiced touch that makes it interesting. I liked it, though I know it’s not for every day.
It’s very intense. At first, it smells like pure peach, then after half an hour the white flowers and ylang-ylang with amber do their magic. Afterwards, pink pepper makes it spicy, and finally, when the skin tames it, a lovely sandalwood emerges. It embodies the 80s: ostentatious, excessive, but utterly delicious. Ideal for open spaces in the cold and at night, because its projection is beastly. 273 Rodeo Drive, luxury at a bargain price.
Very intense, with a totally fruity opening where the peach is front and centre. After half an hour, the white flowers and ylang-ylang with amber do their magic, then pink pepper adds a spicy kick, and finally a wonderful sandalwood emerges. It embodies the 80s: ostentatious, excessive but incredibly rich. Ideal for open spaces in the cold and at night, because its projection and longevity are phenomenal. 273 Drive, a lovely perfume at a low price.
I loved it madly back in high school and now I’m craving to have it again. I hope it’s the same scent that brings back so many memories: strong, spiced, and vanilla, with a brutal longevity.
It’s an 80s classic, super sweet and potent. Not everyone can take it; it’s for winter nights. The trail is beastly and lasts about eight hours.
The opening is a delight: clean neroli with a touch of pollen, followed by fresh and creamy gardenia. I love its entire development and it lasts for many hours. Excellent quality and price. My favourite.

One of my favourites and basics. It has to be there. I’ve been using it since my 20s and never stopped. Gardenia and neroli predominate; sandalwood and peach arrive enveloping at first, then fade and reappear in waves. I prefer to wear it at night. It’s not for every skin type or nose, everyone lives their own notes and evolutions.
An unforgettable character and presence. It’s always part of my collection.
I absolutely loved it 20 years after trying it once and discarding it without my sense of smell being well-trained at the time. But out of curiosity, I tried it again and was thrilled: it has that narcotic scent of neroli, yet sweet, not like modern caramels, but fruity and floral. It feels like the younger sister of the classic Carolina Herrera: at first it resembles it greatly, perhaps due to the neroli, but softened. The Carolina version is hard, intense and imposing; this is the sweet, youthful and uncomplicated version. Although perfumes don’t have an age, I recommend it for 25+ or those who enjoy intense, elegant and casual scents.
I loved it 20 years after trying it and discarding it for not having a trained nose for intense scents. Now, out of curiosity, I’ve loved that narcotic neroli scent, sweet but not caramel-like, rather fruity and floral. It seems the younger sister of the Carolina Herrera classic: this is the sweet, youthful and uncomplicated version, while the other is hard and aggressive. I recommend it for 25+ or those who like intense, elegant and casual scents.
I find it sweet and bold, it reminds me a bit of Givenchy’s Amarige. It never goes out of fashion and makes people ask who’s wearing it. The neroli is there in an elegant way. Be careful when spraying because it’s potent, but then that neroli and sweet scent falls in love with you. Balanced, elegant, perfect for a romantic night or to turn heads. To remember a key moment, I’d use 273 Rodeo Drive.
A whole experience, I didn’t expect so much. Seeing it in the perfumery I thought it wouldn’t sell well, but smelling it I knew it was vintage, floral and powdery, with a faint sweet peach note and sandalwood always present. Its projection is incredible, like a little trail that distils good scent at a low cost.
Oh! 😍 I absolutely love it! It’s pure 90s for happy, intense souls. It’s identical to the scent left by a Revlon shampoo called Outrageous (which no longer exists). Nothing shy or discreet: nardos, sweet peaches, and spaced-out woods announce your arrival. If you make a match, you’ll come with a huge smile because you’ll have it all day, perhaps with a Technotronic song in your head. I use it almost all year round, except in intense heat. I’m a fan.
Oh! I love it, it’s totally 90s for happy and intense souls. It’s identical to the old Revlon Outrageous shampoo. Nothing shy: neroli, sweet and spiced peaches on wood announce your arrival with a smile. I wear it almost all year round, except in intense heat. I’m a fan.
A little gem I bought out of curiosity looking for something vintage and cheap, and I got it right. It’s sweet, fruity, floral, woody and spiced; in winter all its potential shines through. It has a certain air similar to Lancôme’s Tresor, though this one is less sweet and fruity.
It’s beautiful. As I’m new to perfumes and even heavy scents used to make me dizzy, I tried it blind and fell in love at first sight. On my skin it becomes powdery and fresh, but it’s for cold climates; in the heat the trail is strong and can be overpowering. I’d keep it for rainy days or evenings in my warm homeland.
It’s madness! An unforgettable perfume, a 90s classic that blends elegance, glamour, and passion. It’s a party: an opening of nardos, ylang-ylang, peaches, vetiver, and cedar; in the heart, sandalwood and gardenia stand out, maturing softly into plums, jasmine, and amber. A vintage that radiates cleanliness and elegance, timeless, ideal for the office and fresh environments. Preferable in winter and for evening wear. Scent: 9/10 Sillage: 8/10 Longevity: 8/10 Price: 10/10 Would I buy it again?: ALWAYS.
It’s madness, a 90s classic that screams elegance and passion. It opens with neroli, ylang-ylang, peaches, vetiver and cedar; then sandalwood and gardenia soften it with plums, jasmine and amber. Clean, timeless, ideal for the office or fresh environments. Best in winter and at night. Scent: 9/10 Sillage: 8/10 Longevity: 8/10 Value: 10/10 Would I buy again: ALWAYS
It is a perfume water that summarises the ’80s aromas very well. It is a classic that crosses borders with wide power and longevity. On my skin, it lasts over 10 hours. I perceive a fruity opening and very ambered flowers; in the dry-down, warm spices stand out. It is still available in Mexico at an excellent price. It is worth it if you like classics like Trésor or Poême by Lancôme. Ideal for autumn and winter; I would not use it in spring. It is one of my favourites from my teenage years.
Caught my eye via its striking box in perfumeries, and I became curious. It turns out it was launched in my birth year, and I believe everyone should have a perfume from their year. In my case, 1989; today my husband gifted it to me, and we had not even left the shop when I hurried to open it. Wow! I was fascinated by a tremendous gem I acquired blindly without testing it. My husband said it smelled beautiful, and indeed, it is exquisite: a creamy floral with fruity touches, sparkling and very coquettish. It does not cloy, is not heavy, and has good projection; everyone likes it. If you are a lover of vintage or not, you will love it.
After reading the reviews, I was encouraged to buy it seeking the vintage style, longevity, and sillage, which are said to be a gem. I bought it from a reputable site, and everything was fine until I tried it. Delicious: I love neroli and feel they dominate alongside the plum. I was happy, but after two hours, the scent was gone. The promised bomb of longevity and sillage did not happen, even though I bought it from a recognised place. A disappointment in that aspect; I do not know if it is my skin, if it has been reformulated, or if the potency was reduced. I tried it again, and the same thing happened: after two hours, I had to reapply because it faded quickly. I wanted to scent my whole house, but only my family noticed it when they came close, something light and lovely. The perfume is delicious, a classic, and a gem, but something is wrong with the longevity.
I totally agree with Erika Piñón: it smells exactly like the Outrageous shampoo. On my skin, it has excellent longevity of 8 hours.
I own this perfume, and the only thing I liked was the presentation. I love vintage perfumes, but this one was not to my taste; the scent is tiring. I find it boring; only the plum stands out, and I cannot detect the other flowers or woods, which are what I enjoy most. For me, it is a resounding NO.
I would describe it as coquettish. It is quite versatile, but not for daily wear. The standout note is the plum or damson; if you love this fruit, try it! I do not particularly enjoy fruits in perfumes, but this one is so iconic: its box, its shape, its name, and its aesthetic are very Rodeo Drive, old-school La La Land style. I love it! Sometimes, when I don’t know what to wear, I put it on and it lifts my spirits. It suits coquettish and cheerful personalities of any age. It lacks those old-fashioned notes that can be dizzying; it is very 90s fruity. The plum dominates; it is not gourmand, but rather plums with pit and skin in syrup or conserve. It smells quite clean, like pleasant soap or shampoo. I like it very much and think it makes a good gift. The box and style are very chic. I would have appreciated more flowers throughout the development, but I only perceive them in the opening.
My mother’s perfume of a lifetime. It will always make me smell like her, with her imposing yet humorous character, just as the fragrance is: complex, long-lasting, soft, and very sensual.
It is one of the perfumes that has flattered me the most. I have bought many bottles over the years, and today, in 2025, it is difficult to source, so I keep a quarter of a bottle like a treasure.
Arrived in my collection after four years and lived up to my expectations. Explosive opening: strong neroli with sharp apricot and plum, perfect only for lovers of 90s fruity scents. It evolves into a sweetened, ambered gardenia dry-down, enhanced by the initial fruits and sandalwood. It is linear: starts sharp and ends sweet-floral. Great projection (almost 5 metres) and lasts over 12 hours. It sits midway between Poême and classic Carolina Herrera, but with more fruit sweetness. A word of caution: it is potent, so moderate your sprays to avoid overwhelming. Ideal for autumn afternoons or fresh spring days; its warmth doesn’t work in summer, harsh winters, or humid climates. Fun fact: it was Verónica Castro’s perfume during her visit to Argentina on Mirtha Legrand’s show, where she praised it highly.
Undoubtedly smells like the 80s and 90s, full stop. It is my mandatory vintage perfume, though it is becoming increasingly hard to find. My dad gifted it to me in my teens, and it accompanied me through every night out dancing to 90s dance music. I adore its blend of flowers, fruits, spices, and that powdery touch. Totally top for winter nights.
