  It’s curious, on my skin it smells like Tom Ford Oud Wood, they aren’t the same but they resemble each other greatly. It’s true that Oud Wood smells better (higher quality), but it’s an excellent substitute if you don’t mind the small differences that aren’t noticeable during the day, as in my case where I use it daily (something I wouldn’t do with the original). I have a 5ml sample, I’ll order a 60ml for next time and for my daily use it will be fantastic.

  Oud Wood confused me at first: I didn’t know if I liked it or not, but every time I smelled it on someone else, I’d return to the perfumery to try it until I said ‘enough’, I loved it, but the price seemed insane. I looked for alternatives and found Alexandria, I ordered it without hesitation. The interesting thing is that at first Agar resembled OW, but it had a medicinal note that annoyed me and felt synthetic; I was a bit disappointed and put it away. As it arrived in the heat, I left it for two months. Upon trying it again, miracle! It had macerated, smelled identical, the medicinal note had disappeared and the potency had gone up a level. I confirmed that AF does a great job with inspirations. If you want to have OW at a good price, I recommend Agar 100%. It’s elegant, versatile and stands out from the crowd. Surprisingly, it became one of my favourites after I thought it was repulsive. Scent: 10/10, Longevity: 10/10, Sillage: 9/10 (projects well for the first 4 hours then drops to skin level). Occasion: Meetings, office, parties, everyday. The only catch: I don’t know if a girl would like it at first on a date. Note: Let perfumes from this house macerate for 4 to 8 weeks, you’ll be pleasantly surprised, divine plan 🦉.

  Agar is a brutal clone of Oud Wood, top quality and I think it’s the best dupe from the Alexandria house. It smells of deep wood with a sweet and spicy touch, elegant with a silky and mysterious texture. I love it and for the price it’s a must if you like that DNA. It’s very close to Zahrac or Carved Oud, though the latter two are spicier. Here Agar gets straight to the point, easy and wearable. Ideal for cold weather and special events, more masculine to my taste, with excellent performance. I recommend it 100%. Note: 10/10 (tested in Discovery Set).
