Descripción

Arabia Code by Le Chameau is a fragrance from the olfactive family for men. This creation, launched in 2024, unfolds a scent pyramid where the opening of bergamot gives way to a heart of iris, lily of the valley, and aldehydes, settling on a base of tonka bean and cedar.

  • A classy profile opening with a white floral and elegant iris—not powdery or lipstick-like, but earthy; it probably uses lily root for that masculine touch. It evolves into creamy cedar and wood thanks to the vanillaised tonka; I didn’t detect bergamot. Overall, it’s a good perfume, one of the cheapest and best iris fragrances because it doesn’t smell synthetic. The downside, or perhaps the upside, is that it’s a personal bubble: longevity is good and guaranteed, but projection isn’t strong, so you need to get closer. If you’re looking for that, it’s brilliant for the price and saves the day. I recommend smelling it first and only buying it if you love iris.

  • A classy fragrance opening with a white floral, elegant, earthy iris—not powdery—perhaps blended with lily root for a more masculine nuance. It then evolves into creamy cedar thanks to the vanillaised tonka; I didn’t notice bergamot. It’s a good perfume, one of the cheapest and most natural iris scents available, though it is very personal: longevity is good, but projection is low, so you need to get close to smell it. Ideal if you’re looking for something like this and are on a tight budget; it’s brilliant. Smell it before buying and recommend it only to iris lovers.

A fragrance without hype but one that gives you something to talk about. PROJECT: It’s not a beast mode; it’s a personal bubble to get close and smell (7/10). LONGEVITY: It projects for one to two hours at a metre, then moves to skin for six to seven hours and lasts on clothes for days with sillage (9.5/10). SCENT: Inspired by Armani Code Parfum with better performance, but with a sweet, clean, iris note that recalls Prada Luna Rosa Black once dried. At first, I didn’t like it because it felt familiar, but when dry, it has charm: simple, powdery iris, a real make-up air, and sweet tonka over deep wood (9/10). RECOMMENDATION: Yes. It’s not innovative, but its charm lies in its simplicity. At around $500 MXN ($26-27 USD), it’s a 9/10. I wore it daily for about half a month; it’s versatile, serious, and ideal for those under 20.

A niche fragrance without the hype, yet it sparks conversation. PROJECT: It’s not a beast mode; it’s a personal bubble that invites people to get close and smell it (7/10). LONGEVITY: Perfumes usually tire me out, but this one lasts. With sprays, it projects about a metre for one to two hours before settling on my skin for another six or seven hours. On clothes, it lingers even after washing, leaving rich sillage (9.5/10). SCENT: It draws inspiration from Armani Code Parfum with better performance, but features a sweet, clean, iris note that reminds me of Prada Luna Rosa Black once dried. It isn’t particularly original at first, but when dry, it has charm: simple, enchanting for lovers of powdery iris with a real make-up vibe (nothing synthetic) and sweet tonka adding depth with wood (9/10). Would I recommend it? Yes. Although not innovative, its charm lies in its simplicity. At around 500 pesos or $26-27 dollars, it rates a 9/10. I wore it almost daily for a month: it’s versatile, serious, and ideal for those under 20.
