I’m a huge fan of the Armani Code line and this scent in particular. I arrived here hoping I’d finally found its perfect dupe, but nothing could be further from the truth. It’s a cheap, synthetic vanilla clone. The opening is extremely sharp, and once it dries down, it smells like those imitation colognes you’d find at a market stall. A complete disappointment; I’ll keep looking.
Greetings to the community. I’ve just purchased this perfume and my first impression wasn’t good. I didn’t like it at all, especially the opening and dry-down; right now, it’s giving me nausea. I don’t have Armani Code Profumo to compare it with, but it just doesn’t work for me. As @Darckent says, I’ll leave it to macerate for a few months to see if it changes and matures, but for now, I wouldn’t recommend buying it blindly if you prefer sweet, woody, and fruity scents. It’s a different scent that won’t suit everyone. Always test in a perfumery before deciding.
To judge this fragrance, one must consider its price and the quality of its ingredients. That said, it’s very good. It’s true the opening is strange and sharp, but the evolution and dry-down are excellent. It has a longevity that many perfumes costing ten times as much simply don’t match. The trail is moderate once dry but intense at first. For the price, it’s hard to improve on that.
