Masculine, serious and elegant; it smells expensive. It has the presence of Gentleman and is seductive. Amber leads all the stages, stripping this flanker of versatility. In my opinion, read the review for Code Absolu. Longevity: 8/10, Sillage: 8/10, Masculinity: 7.5/10, Sensuality: 6/10. Overall rating: 7.5/10.

I absolutely loved the Armani Code Profumo; it’s a winter king. It’s sweet and spicy: a timid opening of cardamom and mandarin, followed by amber as the star. The heart and dry-down feature tonka bean, which reinforces the sweetness. The result is magnificent: seductive, nocturnal, almost sexual. Balanced, neither youthful nor mature. Perfect for one-on-one encounters on a cold night; there are few safer bets. Women love it, and I do too; almost unisex with a masculine edge. Outstanding performance, lasting 8-10 hours, with average projection for the first three hours. Best worn in winter, shining on nights. Suitable for informal or semi-formal wear. Excellent value for money and a great compliment generator. JGS.

  • I tried both Code Profumo and Code Absolu and liked them both. In Profumo, the cardamom adds a mysterious touch and I adored the scent, but it didn’t last even a whisper 🙁 I’ll go for the Absolu instead, which I also liked, but it feels more serious and luxurious, plus it lasts for now… What a pity about the performance of Profumo on my skin.

I already didn’t enjoy the original Armani Code, but this is worse: it smells like industrial disinfectant, synthetic and bitter, making me wrinkle my nose. Acqua di Gio from the same house gives it a thousand turns in terms of scent and quality. I read that Luca Turin didn’t approve of Chanel Allure Sport, but to me, this is a delight compared to this mess; I imagine the criticism here would be brutal. I thought it might be a faulty tester, but after trying it several times, the result is the same: I dislike it. The worst part is that it lasts quite a while on me. One of the worst perfumes I’ve ever heard? Au revoir.

It was a gift and I keep it for myself, but it’s one of the few that doesn’t wear well. The opening is intense, fruity but bitter, like fermented plums or cherries, not sweet. The cardamom doesn’t compensate for that unpleasant acidity. The DNA of the original is there, that crayon wax or melted candle smell, but it’s overloaded and smells dirty, dark and smoky, with a very unpleasant animalic musk. The middle notes smell like sweat; the blend of amber, leather and tonka gives old, oxidised, wet incense, like an old book. I can’t justify wearing it in any setting; the trail is repulsive, not intoxicating, it stays as wax and smoke. It’s not versatile, not for me, not for a partner, not for special occasions, what a pity. The bottle is elegant, like expensive whiskey, blurred black to coffee, mysterious and refined. Armani Code Profumo won’t have much history to write.

Playful aroma with formality. It comes out strong and can sting or make you sneeze at first, but then there’s caramel magic. Instantly it seems like almond syrup, but the lavender balances the amber and together they lead to new car leather. As it dries, there’s a powdery tonka base, without anise or tobacco, very pleasant. Originality: it reminds me of the original Code and sometimes of cinnamon gum (like 1 Million), but it has better construction and is less synthetic. Climate: ideal below 25°C; with heat, the sweetness becomes tiring. Versatility: it’s not blue, suitable for formal or special occasions, conveying an elegant and youthful aura. Performance: at 15-25°C with 5 sprays it lasts 10-12 hours, projecting to the arms at first and then to the shoulders, leaving a trail for two hours. If it’s cold, go up to 6 sprays for more potency, but no more or you’ll overwhelm. Reformulations: I haven’t tested other batches. Should I recommend it? Absolutely, it’s the special touch for your event. If you use fresh perfumes, the sharp opening might scare you, but give it a try. Alternatives: Montblanc Legend Night (cheaper), Armani Code Absolu (creamier) or Stronger With You (less piercing).

  • Bought the Armani Code Profumo and honestly, it feels quite weak; it evaporates within hours. Perhaps I tested it at 25 degrees, but I don’t think that’s an excuse for such poor longevity. Best wishes.

Armani Code Profumo is a super rich fragrance and the best part is that women absolutely love it, period.

  • Although I’m not a fan of sweet perfumes, this one is well-balanced. It has quality and personality; the lavender and leather give it a masculine touch that prevents the vanilla from becoming cloying. It doesn’t smell synthetic like the Stronger With You line, which gives me a headache. It’s my favourite in the Code collection. If you’re looking for something special you’ve never smelled before, it’s not for you, but if you want a good, quality gourmand, this is it. I don’t recommend buying it blindly because it’s not cheap; I got it on sale and I’m satisfied. To date, it’s the one that has given me the most female compliments, a true leg-slap. If you want to be safe on a date, wear it and you’ll see. I compared it with the Absolute and the EDP, and this is the mother of them all.

  • I tried the sample and at first it smells like fluor, dentist-style… then it turns sweet and rich, but it’s not my style. Does anyone else experience that at the start?

  • Sebastián N

A perfume that doesn’t convince me. It’s very similar to CH Sexy Men, nothing more to say. Blindly, I wouldn’t recommend it.

  • I find it very similar to One Million EDT in everything: scent, projection, and trail, although the last two are a little weaker.

  • Ricardo Arenas Parfum

Okay, first review for Code Profumo. It’s that typical sweet fragrance with a noticeable trail and projection, fulfilling, sexy, and nocturnal (or autumn/winter afternoons). The first time I smelled it, it was like a red fruit sweet: cherries, raspberries, vanilla, leather, and amber. Years later, it remains one of my chosen scents for special occasions (semi-formal or formal) on cold afternoons or nights. I don’t wear it in summer. The longevity on my skin lasts over 8 hours; the first 4 hours project very well, gradually reducing without becoming skin scent. A good option if you like sweet aromas, but don’t buy blindly. If you’re a woman and want to gift it to your partner, they will LOVE it.

  • Proven longevity. If you’re looking for a perfume for fresh, cold, cloudy, or rainy days that lasts all day (office, party, meeting), Armani Code Profumo is a good option. Its scent is sweet, dark, and comforting. You won’t have problems with longevity or projection; although the trail can be invasive at first, over time it becomes a moderate and pleasant bubble that invites people to get closer. It’s not a compliment bomb, but the tempting effect of making people want to smell you is undeniable. As Tom Ford said: ‘If you have a fragrance you love, why not be generous with it? Why smell just a little bit good when you can smell good?’

  • Am I the only one, or does this smell identical to Le Male but sweeter? At least I can wear this one; Le Male smells like insecticide and this Profumo has better quality. It projects identically to Le Male, just sweeter, but I don’t know if I’m going mad. Can anyone tell me if I’m crazy?

  • RodoPerfumero

I wore this during my Autumn-Winter season back home. It’s delicious to my taste, attention-grabbing, and lasts a long time. I wear it daily for work in winter and have received compliments for that particular scent. I recommend it, but as always, it’s best to smell it before buying.

  • I think Armani has pulled the Profumo from sale. I can’t find it in physical stores or online; it’s out of stock everywhere. I suppose it didn’t have much success and they’ve swapped it for the Armani Code Parfum.

  • Leaving my first review: I’m a ‘street’ user, with no real understanding of perfumery beyond what attracts me. A novice, I only spray in shops based on whim. I tried the Armani Code Profumo months ago; it didn’t grab my attention, but a shop assistant recommended it for an event. I liked it, but I ended up taking the SpiceBomb Extreme (no regrets). However, I still wanted this one and bought it now (it cost me a fortune; it’s hard to get). I’m a fan of oriental ambers and gourmands; they have that sensual charm that invites people to get closer. It reminds me a lot of Carolina Herrera’s 212 Sexy Men, which I enjoyed and brought me many compliments from women. This Armani one is better, rounder. Sweet, warm, enveloping, sensual; it smells like a cherry or blueberry tart with a delicious vanilla touch. I wore it today at noon, five sprays, and at 22:00, after showering, I can still feel it clinging to my skin. Ideal for special occasions or dates in the cold, or fresh summer evenings in semi-formal settings, not for the club. It’s a proper stinker, a pity it’s so hard to find. To explain it as I like: it’s a knockout cologne for a young lad; it smells incredible, wear it for a date and you’ll win, people will be hugging your neck.

  • Love at first sniff. I came across it in a retail store and it was the one that caught my eye the most. My first impression was like a heatstroke: a warm scent that transports you to a cool paradise in cold environments or special occasions. My bottle is from 2022 and with five sprays, it lasts about six hours. I don’t know about previous batches, but here in Chile it’s still not discontinued, and luckily I managed to get a discount on the 30ml version. I love it.

  • Miguel Gil

Smells rich and addictive, though it is very sweet and easy to like. I’d recommend it only for evening wear or cold weather; in the heat, it becomes overwhelming. The longevity and projection are top-notch. I’ve received compliments, but only from older people. Overall, I recommend it: 8/10.

  • Armani Code Profumo: A phenomenal masterpiece to please girls. It looks like a striking creation. Although it’s warm and sweet, it’s not exclusive to cold weather; it’s ideal for going out and meeting people, to please and stand out. It gives a chic, velvety, and truly exceptional sensation. Yes, it attracts the opposite sex and is for personal enjoyment. I don’t see it as similar to One Million, perhaps they compare it due to the line, but they are aromatically distinct. It’s the sexy version of the Armani Codes. The citrus notes of tangerine in the opening, integrating later with amber, leather, tonka, and vanilla, make a provocative combination that, without being scandalous, is perceived persistently. I loved it. Although it doesn’t break the mould or invent anything, it stands out. If you find it between $70 and $90, it’s a good buy. Performance is satisfactory and noticeable. I use it at night. Scent: 9.0. Projection: 2 hours. Longevity: max 7 hours. Recommended.

A work of art. Along with the Absolu, they are the best in the line. I was lucky with a 2019 batch and even luckier today with a 2017 one. It’s warm, sweet, and has an exquisite, addictive dry-down that makes me smell my wrist over and over; it is literally bottled seduction. I see it as perfect for dates, mild climates, or in the evening.

  • Alexis Bm

A delicious perfume that, although I was looking for something a bit ‘more serious’, I loved it. I see it as the bridge between the original Code and the Absolu (the latter being very unisex to my taste). The Code Profumo is a seduction beast: it opens with a synthetic apple reminiscent of Y EdP, accompanied by cardamom that gives it an ‘apollonian’ touch, without losing the acidity of the tangerine. It soon dries down; the apple fades to make way for the tangerine, softly spiced flowers, and tonka bean which provide a welcome warmth. Sadly, I don’t feel the leather I was looking for for something more formal, but it didn’t disappoint me. I use it for romantic dates because it incites closeness; it makes any encounter romantic and predatory. Scent: 9.5 (very good, not perfect). Longevity: 9.7/10 (up to 12 hours, the longest in the line). Projection: 9.8/10 (good for the first 3 hours, then fades). Recommended.

  • There are fragrances made for specific moments and people, and this Profumo answers to both. If you’ve used it as a favourite for years, I wouldn’t recommend it for daily wear or in enclosed spaces, as it can become heavy, especially in summer. Don’t be fooled by its fresh and citrusy opening; it quickly turns amber with a subtle lavender. Finally, it dries down with great projection and spectacular longevity, leaving an incredible leather sensation for lovers of the scent. Ideal for going out after a group, preferably outdoors. It’s a compliment magnet, manly and strong, but don’t abuse the sprays or it will weigh on those around you. In short, the Armani Code Profumo is a beast that, when tamed, is unique. For confident men with presence, it’s the perfect complement.

  • A men’s fragrance? Who says so? It’s an exquisite perfume whose only ‘masculine’ note is the leather, which here adds roundness and sensuality. The cardamom and nutmeg give it a spicy touch ideal for a cocktail night 🍸. The fruits and flowers contribute a warm but elegant sweetness. If you want to step out of the ordinary for winter and evening, it’s perfect. It’s comforting and sophisticated.

  • ChrisFragancediction

Seeing so many people insist that everything is unisex makes it clear that sometimes they just want to prescribe sweetness to anything. It seems for something to be masculine it must contain tobacco, leather, and lavender, and yet someone would still say it smells unisex because of the sweetness of the tobacco.

  • Just got hold of it in 2024. Here in Colombia, it’s almost impossible to find as it’s discontinued, but I managed to get it at a fair price; places with a few units left are selling it at retirement-home prices. It smells seductive, nocturnal, and sweet, with a perfect balance. It exudes class and masculinity: starts citrusy before settling into a sexy, sweet amber with tonka bean. I adored it. Score: 9/10. Ideal for conquests, cool nights, or romantic dates.

  • Valentink2001

To me, it’s elegant and perfect for a date. It has that daring touch that gives it more class than the original Code I’ve tried. I loved it; it’s sweet without being cloying, though its longevity can indeed lead to olfactory fatigue.

  • Leonardox28

Snagged this in a 2017 batch. Smells great; while purists might find it a bit simple, it’s an absolute bomb for the average girl who just says ‘yes’. Lasts 6-7 hours, strong for the first two and a half before settling. Very sensual and sticky; ideal with black clothing and an arrogant yet romantic attitude. 9/10.🔥🪵

  • Claudioargento89

The Natura Sagaz or Potence is very similar to this beautiful discontinued Armani fragrance; it is a matter of trying it, gentlemen.

  • It is an extremely sweet fragrance, masculine but understandable why it could be unisex. It is certainly for cold climates, day or night; it invites you to get closer to the scent, but moderate the sprays so as not to be an overly sweet pest. It has similarity with the Homem Potence by Natura; for an inexperienced nose they would be the same, but side by side you can tell that the Profumo has a more vanilla-like sweetness, while the Natura has a fruitier one.

  • MaatCesar

For those currently looking for it: it is already discontinued! At least this presentation, as the scent is identical to the new Armani Code EDP 2024. If you are looking for this scent, your best option is the new Armani Code EDP.

  • It is a spiced, elegant fragrance with great body, perfect for cold or temperate climates and special occasions. The longevity is worthy: 8-10 hours. The projection is strong for the first three hours (about 1.5-2.5 metres), then it becomes more intimate (about one metre) without losing its projection or trail. Very good and worth it if you can manage to find it, as it is discontinued.

  • Fabián_shadow

For the nostalgic: the Cardamom and Apple by Swiss Arabian is very rich; next to it, they seem 85% identical. Good longevity and very masculine, nothing like the Lattafa version.

  • carloslainezd

Elegant, sensual, and masculine, with compliments guaranteed. The main point: it is discontinued. If you are looking for something in its line, try the Dior Homme Parfum 2025. If you want something that reminds you of it, try the Armani Code Eau de Parfum, although this one is sweeter, less dense, and more versatile.

  • Lucapereirafitperfumes

Delicious, sweet, and addictive fragrance for the night, masculine and rewarding, with good longevity and projection; women love it. If you can get your hands on it and are looking for something for cold weather or cool nights that women will enjoy, buy it without hesitation.

  • Armani Code Profumo holds a unique place in my collection. I was gifted it in 2019 and it still smells exactly the same today, as if time has stood still, even though I have changed. It is a luxury I do not wish to waste without reason, for I know that when it runs out, it will leave a difficult void to fill. I value every spray more than many full bottles. Olfactorily, it is dark, warm, and spiced, with an elegant sweet base that settles beautifully over time. It feels distinctly masculine, attractive, and characterful, without losing that balance of a fine fragrance. It is not for daily wear or for going unnoticed; it has presence, leaves a mark, and accompanies you for hours from a sophisticated, adult side. Its trail is notable and the longevity is excellent, ideal for cold nights, autumn, and winter, dates, and special moments. It is one of the fragrances that earns me the most compliments and an aroma that is simply lived… and when it is gone, it is remembered. Sincerely, I do not understand how such a fragrance has been discontinued. Rating 9.5/10
