With Funny, you have to go by its name. It has nothing to do with classic, serious, adult or shy; it’s sparkly with a slightly bitter and strong citrus opening that balances and stabilises into all the freshness there is. Although intense, it doesn’t bother.
I love Moschino perfumes and Funny is no exception. However, I must say it lasted less than an hour on my skin, that is, less than a scented cream. And I was so happy with the purchase. My happiness lasted exactly that: less than an hour. What a fiasco.
As its name suggests, Funny is fun, vibrant, youthful; I adore citrus perfumes and this is one of my favourites, and it lasts forever.
A delicious fragrance, youthful, fresh and definitely one to keep in my collection. In my opinion, it’s a refreshing dose of ideal citrus for hot climates. It lasts several hours on me. It’s well balanced and, despite being deeply compared to Dolce & Gabbana’s Light Blue, this is for me more delicious, juicy and sweet.
Exquisite, mega refreshing. I don’t understand why people compare it with I Love Love; I own both and they don’t resemble each other much. Citrusy with a strong green tea scent; I could smell the tea before even knowing it was in there. Good longevity, nice for gifting, lovely for everyday wear and above all for hot days. It’s perfect.
I had it a long time ago, very nice. It’s a bit like Light Blue and Iris de Cher.
Normally I wear sweet, vanilla and gourmand perfumes, but with the heat where I live, this is perfect for a hot spring-summer (around 30°C). It’s fresh, sweet, energising and vibrant; when you apply it, you feel refreshed. The bitter orange and green tea are very noticeable, exquisite. It lasts a long time on me: about five hours projecting and nine hours total close to the skin. I recommend it 100% for hot days when you want to feel clean and fresh.
Fresh and ideal for hot days. It reminds me of Light Blue.
If you like citrus, this is for you. Very fresh, perfect for summer, and it’s impossible to find it annoying. It lasts well on my skin, nothing exaggerated, very energising. I highly recommend it.
It’s very lovely, very citrusy; the orange becomes very prominent.
It’s a pure spring-summer scent; orange takes centre stage. It’s not elegant or mature, and it smells strong even if you apply a little. I use it for sport or hot afternoons, but not too much because it makes me feel dizzy.
The bitter orange and green tea are the strongest notes; it’s a citrus, fresh, and informal scent, ideal for those super hot days when you want to feel cool. Its trail is moderate and on me it lasts about 4 hours. I love it because it reminds me of the lime from the centre of Mexico, which is eaten on the hottest summer days.
I was excited about this fragrance; the first few days I found it fresh and pleasant, but over time I noticed some notes (especially in the dry-down) make it sharp, masculine, and less versatile for summer. I’m not sure if it’s the bitter orange, pink pepper, or oakmoss, or if it’s just that I use it in enclosed spaces where it overwhelms me. For now, I’ve put it away; perhaps I’ll try it again later or gift/sell it, but I hesitated because I read it might be discontinued and I know many love it. Edit. December 2024: I gifted it to a man and he loved it!! I had to give it away because it’s more of a man’s perfume than a woman’s. I prefer very feminine perfumes, and this wasn’t one of them.
Fresh, youthful, and fun. The bitter orange is very noticeable, along with a potent and refreshing lemon. Every time I use it, I feel like I’ve just stepped out of the shower. It’s muuuuuuuuuch like Light Blue. Lasts approximately 4–6 hours. 🍋🍊✨
It’s nice. Citrusy but it doesn’t last at all. No trail and no longevity. Perfumes should have staying power and sillage.
It’s a scent that can’t be missing from my collection. I love showering and bathing head to toe with this freshness. The citrus is very noticeable, lovely and youthful. It doesn’t last long, but I don’t mind; I love reapplying and feeling that fresh orange scent again.
Of the Moschinos I own, this is the longest-lasting. The opening feels strong; you notice the bitter orange immediately upon application, but then it shifts into a delicious woody dry-down. I use it for the office and going to class; it’s perfect. The bottle is beautiful.
If you like citrus, buy it with your eyes closed. It’s a ten for everyday wear. Moschino Funny is a shock of good vibes in a bottle. I always keep it in my bag for when I need a boost. It’s undoubtedly my signature scent. I love the blend of citrus with green tea.
I was new to perfumes, at 30, and neither my wife nor I cared much about them, partly due to budget. But once you have a bit more style, you treat yourself to these luxuries. I bought this for my wife and oh my goodness, what a stunner—a perfect 10, a total hit. We both adored it. It comes off very fresh, smelling of flowers and sweet yet green citrus. If I had to describe it: walking through a sunny city with a breeze, smelling flowers near a park. If you’re a girl, buy it; you’ll surely like it. If you’re a guy wanting to gift something to your girlfriend or friend, it’s an excellent everyday option; it suits any girl.
I don’t usually review feminine fragrances, but I gifted it to my girlfriend for Christmas 2023. I wanted something fresh, simple, cheerful and easy to like, as she isn’t a fan like me and she doesn’t like complex or potent scents (she gets overwhelmed easily). I chose it blindly based on notes and comments. Fortunately, it was a 100% success 🙂 This Funny is a very pleasant perfume with good energy. Besides, it smells delicious; to say that as soon as I sprayed a little on my arm to test it, some close friends commented ‘That smells so good, who perfumed themselves?’. Let’s say it’s a little sweet, citrusy and fruity, young and cheerful, ideal for daytime use. Recommended for those looking for that vibe.
Absolutely love it! I tried it in-store looking for something sparkly and citrusy like Eros or Aqua di Gioia. I sampled other floral citrus scents but they were rather dull; Funny made me smile. At first, you get blackcurrant and pink pepper, then juicy mandarin and green tea—super refreshing. It sits close to the skin on me; I know I absorb perfumes quickly, but this is for my own enjoyment and for those who hug me to smell. It reminds me of a spring sunset with everything in bloom. P.S.: It feels youthful.
I love it. I bought it blindly based on the notes and reviews; I felt it couldn’t fail, and luckily it didn’t. I wanted a fresh perfume for summer and I liked that it had orange. When it arrived and I smelled it, I noticed it was somewhat similar to my beloved L’ eau de Kenzo; they share notes. It’s fresh with a bitter touch that I find super interesting. I think what gives it the magical touch is the pink pepper (which Kenzo also has). I’d like it to last longer, but this type of fresh/summer perfume usually doesn’t have good fixation. It feels about 4/5 hours on the skin, but it doesn’t project. 100% suitable for blind buys or gifts. Given the price and performance, I would buy it again 🙂
I think among all the fragrances I’ve owned, this one remains undefeated on the podium. I love that citrus and fresh scent, but with a sweetness at the base that makes it smell like sour gummies with a sweet liquid centre coated in sugar, the perfect combination. I feel the name does it too much justice. For me, it’s a cheerful, addictive scent that doesn’t tire me; I could wear a mouthguard soaked in this all day without it bothering me. I love it.
My first review goes straight to my favourite, the one that lifts the mood and awakens joy. What a wonderful fragrance. If we place it in the Light Blue by D&G family, it’s different: sparkling, green, with that little bitter orange, a just touch of pepper and green tea that is a boom of joy. Then you feel the jasmine without losing the opening. It becomes woody after a few hours and there you have it, beauty. It’s not complex, simple but not lightweight. It’s not associated with a specific age, but with personality. Perfect for summer, but also for autumn and spring. I use it all year round, although it does suit warm climates better. I LOVE it and I hope it exists forever <3
I absolutely love this fragrance; it refreshes you right down to your soul when it’s an unbearable, humid heat where you live… Now let’s talk about the poor sillage and longevity, which is a disappointment: the projection lasts less than an hour and less than two hours on the skin… Fortunately, it can be found at a good price, but Moschino could put a bit more effort into it.
I absolutely love this fragrance, although I’m disappointed by its longevity and projection. It’s fresh, aquatic, with just the right touch of sweetness and very relaxing; it’s exquisite, smelling of a sugar-coated lemon peel that has just come out of the fridge.
It’s a lovely, youthful, and cheerful fragrance. Its three phases are very well defined; it’s not linear. It’s more floral than I Love Love, but they follow the same style and are very similar. Ideal for daily use as a signature scent. Although I like it, I won’t buy it again, mostly due to its performance: it lasts about an hour and then I can’t detect it anymore.
Super delightful.
It’s a wonder. Sweet, citrusy, and fresh. It bears a very strong resemblance to Arancia di Capri by ADP. I don’t know why, but I’ve never seen it in regular shops; I smelled it at an airport and didn’t hesitate twice to buy it. If you like Arancia di Capri, don’t even think about it, it’s very similar and only costs 20€.
I bought it a couple of months ago; when I tried it it was an exquisite fragrance like lemonade, delicate and skin-close that lasted a few hours. I used it again yesterday and I never thought a perfume could change in such a short time (with the bottle closed, dark and cool)… now it smells very much like Dolce & Gabbana’s Light Blue.
I remember months ago, looking for tangerine scents, I was recommended this one and I Love Love by Moschino. Although it’s not tangerine, it is citrusy. It reminds me of a less ‘serious’ version of Light Blue, which I didn’t like because it was too acidic; I prefer something sweet (without being gourmand like I Love Love). In my opinion, it smells 100% like lemon: slightly acidic at first, but with a sugary sweetness at the base that doesn’t detract from the freshness, thanks to its green and aquatic notes. It’s not cheap, but it’s on the ‘affordable’ side and is a great alternative to Light Blue if you’re looking for something similar. Ideal for very hot days, to refresh yourself and walk under the sun.
I like it although it is not my favourite because it turns out to be sharp and strong. It is very soapy, citrusy and summery. I bought it in 2021 and did not use it until this summer in Argentina. It has macerated very well and it lasts six hours. I recommend letting it macerate to increase its longevity and trail.
I first encountered Elizabeth Arden’s Green Tea and then came across Funny. Both are essential in my daily collection: one herbal and aromatic, the other citrusy and floral, both with a precious green tea heart. Funny by Moschino does not compare to Dolce & Gabbana’s Light Blue (more citrusy and fruity) nor to Moschino’s I Love Love (more sharp and aromatic). Funny is green tea with citrus barely surrounded by flowers, in just the right measure to give it sweetness. It can be unisex and its longevity depends on the chemistry with your skin; on me it lasts several hours with a moderate trail. At the end of the year I found a good promotion at Perfumerías El Balcón in Argentina and now I have two refill bottles.
It has been my favourite for fifteen years. I love that its opening is citrusy and unisex, but once it dries it turns floral. It is unique; I cannot find anything similar. I am looking for something alike but cheaper; the closest is Cher Iris: its opening is identical, but afterwards it becomes bitter, nothing like Funny. They say it is for daily use, but I use it for every occasion; it is perfect for me.
At first it is addictive, so exquisite, smelling of fine shampoo, clean woman. But once it dries, it is identical to Dolce & Gabbana’s Light Blue: that sour and bitter lemon that I simply do not like.
It is lovely at first, but afterwards it smells horrible on me. It smells like sweaty clothes; I do not like it at all. You sense the initial citrus, but then it turns this way and it is disgusting. It is not for me.
I was looking for something fresh, cheerful and sparkling and I hit the jackpot. On my skin, the bitter orange is linear and lasts all day. There is something else I cannot quite distinguish, but the scent is enveloping, warm and soft without being overpowering. It accompanies you without bothering, although it does not last more than six hours, it certainly lifts the mood.
Funny is super lovely and wearable, a fresh citrus perfect for everyday. It rarely receives compliments and I use it for casual outings because I don’t see it as particularly sophisticated, yet it has good taste for those who love citrus. Its longevity is light, at most four hours, so it needs retouching. It has a soft trail and is definitely for spring-summer. A blind buy for your collection.
For hot and humid days, this perfume is a luxury. It reminds me very much of Dior Addict Eau Fraîche, though I detect more bergamot than bitter orange. What is undeniable is that it is a clean, sparkling citrus, true to its name.
Fresh and crisp, it makes you feel freshly bathed. Ideal for summer due to that light, airy sensation. Its projection is intimate and lasts about five hours on clothes, so it is worth reapplying to maintain the freshness. It is citrusy, but not acidic like typical lemon; it is an elegant, soft bitter orange. If you like citrus, you will enjoy this green, clean, herbal tone that envelops you in calm. It is unique in its category.
