Hayaati Gold Elixir by Lattafa Perfumes

They gifted it to me for my birthday, but here in February, the leather note is too much for both of us. She prefers Adolfo Dominguez’s Agua de Azahar. Poor thing, she doesn’t know me as well as I do.

I bought it because it’s unisex and I like Lattafa. The problem is the leather: on me, it’s super strong and I can’t control it. For me, it’s unbearable, even though it lasts forever and smells divine on others. I can’t stand potent scents, so for me, it’s a no, despite everything else being excellent.

Hayaati Gold Elixir is warm, elegant, and oriental. From the first spray, it’s enveloping and sophisticated, with balanced sweet and amber notes. It evolves softly but with body, leaving a refined scent. It’s not strident, but silky and designed for special occasions or cold climates. It has a sensual touch that makes it easy to wear. It’s an interesting, balanced option with great value for money.

I love this perfume. At first, I thought I’d hate it, but in winter I wear it out with my girlfriend and she adores it. I’m going for my second bottle.

I reviewed it again because I sold it and regretted it. The suede with vanilla, peach, and amber wasn’t bad at all. On a well-dressed man, it’s madness, and for the price, you can spray many times without overwhelming. It’s totally unisex; it reminds me of Givenchy’s Xeryus from the 2000s. Rich, more feminine but designed to be worn, with peach predominating.

I don’t detect leather; instead, it smells like something akin to a plastic doll, yet it smells lovely, very sweet and vanilla-rich. For the price, I don’t hesitate to fill up on sprays, and it’s brilliant for daily winter wear.

I must inform you that I absolutely dislike One Million. Surprisingly, this (Hayaati Gold) is very similar and made me like it. An elegant, balanced, and sober fragrance. It conveys high-quality materials, nothing synthetic or alcoholic. In my opinion, it suits a 30+ profile better and can be worn by others. I give it 8/10.

Depends on personal taste. I’m not much of a fan of the peach or leather note, but this has the citrus touch that makes it more bearable. Upon trying it, people told me it ‘smells like play-doh, too synthetic, like the smell of children in a school’; untrained noses and a sincere opinion. From my side, it’s a good fragrance and very economical; it deserves a place in the collection if you want to carry something elegant yet informal for cold weather, giving something sweet but also works in heat. Excellent from Lattafa.

Hayaati Gold Elixir. One of my favourite notes is leather; here it appears in a sweet, fruity, and sometimes ‘chicky’ interpretation, accompanied by that white leather, nothing dark, with a fruity accord highlighting the peach. 🍑🧴◻️ Sensation.👜🧴🍓 It evokes a light-coloured leather armchair (white, beige) with the trail of a woman who sat there previously, leaving her typical sweet scent impregnated: vanilla, fruity, and amber. I have no problem feeling it like a leather bag with sunscreen and some ‘body’ fragrance all mixed together. Many compare it to Armani Code Profumo and One Million Elixir; to me, it resembles the former mixed with the sweeter and ‘loud’ nuances of One Million Parfum. Just this smells lovely and is very versatile; for those wanting to try a non-challenging leather that does earn compliments, there is no failure here. They applied the old reliable trick: feminine accords with a leather touch making it unisex. Rating: 8/10. As I mentioned, it’s nothing new to me as I own several of the same style, but with its super cheap price and good performance, it makes me use it for more casual occasions, leaving the other perfumes for special events.

A winter fragrance; leather, peach, vanilla, and amber predominate in that order. It has two easily distinguishable stages: the first 45-60 minutes is an extremely artificial and unbalanced opening between citrus and sweets that causes me nausea. In the second stage, as it dries, a pleasant aroma is perceived where the four notes coexist in harmony. The longevity in the first week was about 4 hours with mediocre projection that, with effort, reached 60 minutes; after letting it macerate for 5 weeks, it changed positively, reaching 10 hours on skin without issues, projecting for the first 3 days on clothes. I got it for 20 dollars; for that price, it’s a considerable option, although I wouldn’t recommend it if you already have other leather/vanilla scents as it presents nothing novel.

This was my first Lattafa fragrance. When I first tried it, I didn’t like it much, but over time it became one of my favourites: fruity with lots of vanilla, amber and leather, although the opening was very synthetic. After smelling my collection again, I came back to this and sensed a completely different scent from usual. I took it to the store and they swapped it because it smelled bad, but they didn’t know why. I kept using it, and then overnight it changed back to the same ‘bad’ aroma. I don’t know what the problem is; I don’t think it’s maceration, as that happens when a perfume is first created. Perhaps it turned sour, but I doubt it since I keep it stored fresh and out of the sun. Maybe it’s the batch, but I haven’t seen any reviews with my exact situation.

To be honest, I picked this up because the regular Hayaati wasn’t available, and to be fair, I have no regrets. It starts citrusy and fruity, but within seconds, leather and vanilla greet you. Initially, it lasted about 3 hours, projecting only for the first 15 minutes, but once it settled, it climbed to 7 hours with decent projection for the first two. Many people find it more feminine, but I detect something very masculine in it. It’s ideal for daily winter wear; given the price, you won’t mind applying it frequently. In conclusion, it’s a fragrance with the 3 Bs, but you need patience to let it mature so its longevity doesn’t disappoint you.

A highly potent fragrance that shares the DNA of Armani Code Profumo and Absolu, but would sit as a flanker between the two. It’s a citrus/fruity fragrance with leather and vanilla notes, slightly sweet, warm and creamy, masculine and elegant, with a prominent peach note that captivates and gives it a sexy aura. It’s quite versatile for cold and temperate climates, more for night than day, and thanks to the peach accords, it makes it perfect for romantic dates. It boasts longevity exceeding 8 hours, with a moderate trail and on clothes until it’s washed again. Recommended 100%.

I liked it; it’s sweet but not excessively so like Mandarin Sky. The leather base, the peach and the vanilla stand out. For me, it’s a combination of Ameer with Mandarin Sky. I got it for 370 on Mercado Libre, checked the batch and it’s genuine.

It’s far from being a replacement for Code Profumo. It has a Code vibe with that leather part, a bit tonka bean or vanilla. Gold Elixir is fruitier and I can definitely feel the peach part. In terms of usage, I see it as more versatile than Code since GE is less elegant and I find it easy to wear without necessarily being well dressed. Unisex unisex. Moderate longevity and for me, very poor projection. I think that’s its weakest point. A pity. 4/10.
