Descripción

Halloween Man X by Halloween is an oriental fougère fragrance for men. Launched in 2019, the nose behind this composition is Nicolas Beaulieu. The top notes unfold with cardamom, lavender and lemon; the heart reveals a blend of coffee, whisky, cinnamon, leather and mineral notes; while the base notes close the olfactory pyramid with tonka bean, amber and incense.

Halloween Man X: Opens citrusy and lemony, then after five minutes it becomes sweet without being overwhelming, and the whisky and synthetic roasted coffee appear, like in an Oxxo store. Use it on nights, parties, or mornings if it’s under 27 degrees. For its price, it’s incredible. Mystery box but good, navy blue bottle with a firm cap, excellent atomiser. Price between $30-45, I paid $30 for 125ml, a bargain. Longevity 6-7 hours, projects a metre at the start then becomes a personal bubble. Leaves a rich trail without being overpowering. Brings normal compliments. Conclusion: it’s rich and cheap, ideal if you like coffee. If you’re looking for Azzaro The Most Wanted Intense, buy this instead, it’s 85% identical and cheaper. Final note: 8.7.

  • At first, I didn’t like it and it didn’t seem very masculine, but over time I grew to love it. Now it’s one of my favourites due to the low cost. The dry down is striking and the settling has a rich coffee note. Yes, it has synthetic notes for developed palates, but normal people don’t notice. I recommend it: good aroma and an excellent option for the price. Decent longevity and projection. Scent: 8.5/10, Longevity: 8/10, Price: 9/10. Better for night and in the cold.

  • I’ll just say this: buy it without doubt. It’s a good perfume for its price, the cheapest of my favourites and the one that has flattered me the most. Trust my word, it’s very good.

  • RicardoPowa1234

Uomo Normal is more similar, but this Signature has more leather and less coffee. Man X comes out a bit more alcoholic. A good perfume for daily wear in autumn and winter; I don’t see it for parties because coffee and leather aren’t party notes. Less YouTube and TikTok, more nose.

  • Candrezfernandez

What a rich and easy-to-wear perfume. With this, you’re guaranteed full compliments and everyone likes it. Buy blind.

It arrived today and at first it smells almost exactly like the Axe Chocolate deodorant from my childhood, but it’s incredible. When sniffed up close, it’s hard not to say it’s Axe, haha. On the dry down, I detect vanilla and whisky. With winter approaching, I’ll keep using it to improve longevity and sillage.

  • After a couple of years, my experience is that it smells fantastic: it opens aromatic and dries down to gourmand. It’s ideal for winter evening dates. It is long-lasting; I believe people don’t rate it so highly because it dissipates with sweat once dry, but from start to finish it is rich and free of unpleasant notes. At a good price, treat yourself to this.

  • I’m almost finished with the bottle and the longevity is short. The opening smells like bubblegum before shifting to coffee, which doesn’t impress me much; I also can’t detect the whisky, which is a pity. It has only brought compliments so far, and it works well in cold weather (10 degrees or below). If I find the right moment, I would buy it again for winter.

  • Halloween Man X is sweet but not cloying. It has a cosy, sexy aroma with a gourmand touch thanks to the coffee note, though it doesn’t recall any specific sweet or dessert; it clearly smells like a perfume. In the opening, thanks to the lavender and lemon, it feels fresh, but as minutes pass, it gains depth and becomes a coffee bomb with tonka bean, incense, and a slightly leathery nuance (though supposedly it contains whisky, I can’t quite distinguish that note personally). Overall, it’s a very pleasant fragrance with compliments almost guaranteed. The only thing I’d ask for is a bit more longevity, as on my skin it disappears after about six hours, although the first four hours project strongly and maintain that sexy character. I especially recommend it for dates and casual night-outs, though it can also work for parties or even everyday wear in cold weather. In summary, for its quality-to-price ratio, I give it 8.5/10.

I’m usually more into serious, formal perfumes like D&G or Terre d’Hermès. After two years of wearing it, I’ve learned that first impressions can be misleading: at first, it smelled like Axe deodorant from the 90s, but now I adore that synthetic coffee note. It’s a youthful, dark fragrance that I enjoy without any age-related complexes or prejudices.

  • Don’t buy this blind. I owned it before and people close by gave compliments. After wearing it and now that I collect fragrances, I thought: I’ll get it again. The price is top-notch. Without a doubt, it’s an excellent purchase. But I’m not sure if having more perfumes to compare and appreciate other scents means that, while it’s certainly not a bad option, it feels a bit behind me now. Within what I’ve said, it’s a rich scent that evolves quite well as others mention, but somehow… in this second round, something feels a little lacking. We’ll see how it behaves in winter.

  • A good-value perfume that is, in the truest sense, a coffee bomb. Personally, I love the scent it projects, even using it on cold days for everyday wear.

  • I’ve tried it several times and find it a terrible perfume; I wouldn’t buy it even at a discount despite the low price. I don’t understand the hype. There are far better coffee scents available; for instance, right now in Spain you can pick up Gourmand Café for €16, which outshines it in both scent and longevity.

  • Any fellow Argentinians here? Am I going mad, or does it smell almost identical to Kingston 1989 Tradition? (a perfume costing around $15).

  • I usually wear it for dates and nights out. It’s the fragrance that has garnered me the most compliments, perhaps because I wear it on those occasions. The longevity is excellent, and the price is outstanding.

It performs brilliantly on clothes, average on skin but you can overuse it without bothering anyone. By the third day, it becomes a versatile perfume: whole coffee beans, black coffee, with a fresh touch of lavender, mineral notes, and lemon (they don’t stand out, but it feels wearable and slightly fresh, not citrusy). It suits any time and occasion. The first spray from a new bottle: too much coffee for my taste. The opening is superb, but as it dries down, it’s not just coffee beans; it’s coffee with a spoonful of sugar; I expected something darker and less gourmand. Fraiche has a more wearable inspiration, but from the third day onwards, the original wins. Versatility: low on the first day, but I see it as 100% versatile. Opening: 11/10. The first day: heart and base of coffee with little sugar, I didn’t like it. Honestly, I prefer the one from Fraiche in Mexico, I think it’s an acquired taste, but I don’t see it as that great either; however, the third day changed my mind for the better, 9/10. Excellent for smelling different and at a ridiculous price of $29 to $36 for 125 ml. Price: around 30 euros. Although the price is good, I would lean towards a Valentino Born in Roma Intense, which costs almost four times more (around 110 euros), or Luna Rossa Carbon at 80. If it’s that good, but for the price, it’s a 9 or 10 overall.

  • Spectacular fragrance, pure coffee. It lasts all day and even into the next; sometimes I catch the bursts. I bought it blind and would use it again. Received many compliments. Very versatile for any occasion and season. I recommend it 100%.

  • Do not buy this blindly; it is a coffee perfume. The other notes are completely drowned out by the intense coffee blast.

  • Now for my take: I’ve been wearing this beastie for over five months, and it’s a monster for night dates within the budget range, and the best in the Halloween line. It opens citrusy with cardamom and lime, but that fades quickly. Then the heart explodes: spiced coffee and getting drunk in a metal glass—a curious yet exact description of the blend of top and heart notes. The base of tonka bean and amber just adds body and a spiced sweetness, nothing sugary. It’s a dark scent thanks to the incense and leather. The longevity is brutal; it’s an EDP with good fixation. Projection is moderate, you’ll always notice it. Scent quality 6.5-7/10: it’s not bad, but not hyper-realistic. For the price and longevity, it’s a safe buy, but for specific use only. For parties or night dates, or perhaps on very cold days, but I don’t see the point of smelling so loud and sexy all the time. If you don’t like coffee, forget it; it’s not an incredible coffee scent but it’s well executed.

  • TheWeightOfTheFragrance

My girlfriend’s favourite. The coffee scent is good and noticeable, very sexy. It doesn’t last or project much, but it has plenty of sex appeal.

  • RoosterMoretti

I bought it two years ago and it was a surprise, but it didn’t call to me enough to keep it. Recently I tried it again with more experience and liked it more, although I can’t stop comparing it to The Most Wanted Intense. It seems I have two perfumes with the same smell. The redeeming factor is that everyone who tries it praises it.

  • Halloween Man X opens acidic and sparkling with citrus and cardamom. It’s ephemeral freshness; within minutes the coffee takes control and the citrus disappears. Then it reveals its character: leather, whisky and a subtle cinnamon that adds warmth. The base of tonka bean, amber and incense gives it a mysterious touch. It has that sweet and dark point that is addictive. It’s not for formal events, but for afternoons and nights in autumn/winter or fresh springs. Perfect for outings with friends, pubs or bars: it evokes coffee, liquor, leather and smoke. A fragrance with personality that is best enjoyed at night.

  • Cardamom, good handling of the coffee (though synthetic) and balanced aroma. But its current performance is weak, weaker than a ball of fluff. It vaguely reminds me of The Most Wanted Intense EDP: same cardamom opening and similar dry-down, although swapping toffee for coffee, with less performance. It’s acceptable, affordable and smells good, but you’ll have to reapply often. Scent: 6.5, Projection: 5.5, Longevity: 5.

  • EloyInfiesta

If you’re looking for something affordable for autumn/winter, this is the one. It starts with a critical opening that becomes dark due to the coffee, ending clean and spicy. Very sexy (the mix of cardamom, lavender and coffee works well), with decent longevity and sillage for the price (around £30 for 120ml). It could be your cold-weather signature scent.

  • I don’t smell any leather. It’s a great option for wearing at night in enclosed spaces, never during the day. The spice blend of cardamom, cinnamon and coffee gives it a sweet and dark touch. It lasts six hours with maximum projection of three.

  • It’s very good, but the opening mutes the other notes too much. The coffee is there, but that mix of lavender and citrus drowns it out, plus it smells very synthetic. It improves significantly in the dry-down. They always mention coffee, whisky, cinnamon and leather, but they forget the opening of lime, lavender and cardamom, which are intense. That opening is the only thing stopping me from buying it again.

  • At first, it reminds me of Azzaro The Most Wanted, but it gets worse over time. Between the lavender and the coffee, the dry-down reveals a strange smell of tuna or canned sardines that ruins it. Very disappointing for something so hyped.

  • Exquisite fragrance, pure sweet and elegant cappuccino. I’ve received many compliments. Ideal for parties, dates, and everything that comes after.

  • As soon as it came out, I went to try it at a perfume chain in Spain with my partner, and both of us became infatuated; she loved it, and I did too xD. I got the 125ml and have no regrets; in fact, I’ve got the itch and am chasing completing the whole Halloween Man line. The aroma starts loaded with sweet and spiced lavender accompanied by cardamom. I don’t feel a citrus note, and I like that; finding perfumes without citrus is rare and rewarding. The spiced sweetness of the cardamom acts as a bridge to the heart, which arrives quickly. Once there, the aroma is impressive: fortified scent with a significant load of roasted coffee. The roast and bitterness balance well with a sweet part that keeps the composition just right, neither too sweet nor too bitter. I don’t perceive the whisky note clearly, rather an unspecified fortified aroma, reminding me of the fortified accord of the classic Halloween Man, like a Martini. I clarify this so you know if you’re looking for pure whisky, this isn’t it, but I recommend trying it. It lasts very well, exceeding 9 hours with strong sillage for the first 2 hours. I see it totally for cold climates, better at night due to the aroma, though not bad for the day. It’s elegant, good for dressing with a wide range of outfits without falling into the suit stereotype. I don’t see it as feminine, but let everyone judge according to their tastes. I encourage you to try it if you’re into dark perfumes but without oud or difficult notes, or if you’re looking for a coffee note: it’s a mandatory stop.

  • A very aggressive but honest review: the opening smells horrible, like a portable plastic bathroom in a freshly used construction site with disinfectant. It mutes everything else. After an hour, it normalises, but I didn’t expect so much. If you want something better, buy the purple Halloween; it costs half the price and smells great.

  • dariodurango99

Reviewing this delicious Halloween Man X, a gift from my mother. I’m not much of a sweet fragrance person; I prefer citrus, green, or aquatic scents, but this has left me speechless. The opening notes are slightly fresh, but within a minute or two, it starts to shine: a subtle, sweet, and masculine aroma that isn’t cloying, leaving an attractive trail. The blend of coffee, whisky, cinnamon, leather, and tonka bean gives a ‘chocolatey’ aroma, like tiramisu or a coffee shop, perfect for cold weather and cosy. I’m surprised by the sillage and longevity: I smell it on my skin for up to 4 hours, subtly until 6-8 hours, and I can detect it throughout my workday. Those who smell it say it’s delicious. Undoubtedly a gem that won’t be missing from my collection. Highly recommended 8.5/10.

  • ChristianCedeño

It’s one of the simplest fragrances I own and has surprised me. The compliments and reactions it gets from those who smell it are among my favourites when I want to receive them. I didn’t expect much, but it certainly surprised me.

  • I’m nearly finishing two 125ml bottles. It’s not for daily wear, but rather for dates, bars, and close-range encounters. It lasts and projects more than necessary, offering quality and performance. IT IS NOT VERSATILE: it’s designed to stick and make people remember you. If you want to grab a girl (over 40, no?), make sure she likes coffee. Go heavy on the sprays and you’re ready for the bomb; while you’re spraying, it reactivates. It’s an eternal EDT and the Man X bullet needs to be used well. It soaks clothes, pillows, hair… it’s madness what it offers for the price. Best of all, it suits up to 25/26 years old. Scent: 10/10, Longevity: +8h, Projection: moderate and inviting, Value: Freebie.

  • I quite like it. As it dries down, it’s like walking into a shop’s coffee corner, although I understand it could be a dealbreaker for some. It doesn’t overwhelm, but it’s very well done.

  • The opening is spectacular: warm, spiced, masculine, with coffee touches. Unfortunately, as it dries down, it becomes very synthetic and doesn’t last long. Still, I can’t complain given the price. A fragrance every man should try at least once.

  • On Skin Parfums

I bought the Halloween Man X EDT in 2025 for around £24-25 for 75ml in a physical store; you can get a better deal online with patience. My rating matches the price. Glad I didn’t buy the large format; I doubt I’d use it all. I consider it an introductory scent. To me, more than whisky, it smells like Tía María (you’ll know which generation we are from). I’d swear the creator was inspired by that liqueur. It smells like fortified coffee and sweet. The whisky and rum age in oak barrels (white rum doesn’t, better not touch it). Instead of vanilla, the sweetness comes from tonka bean. The touch of lavender and cardamom adds a plus. On my dry skin, it lasts 3 hours, very tight; on clothes, 7-8 hours. I understand it’s an EDT, but being a night and winter scent, it falls short. Compared to El Ganso Friday Edition EDT (7h on skin, £20 for 125ml), they aren’t the same profile (that one is warmer and spicier), but the usage would be similar. It’s more suitable for the night. Fragrances with this type of alcoholic note work better at night; during the day, they clash. It has perceptible but non-invasive sillage. I don’t think I’ll buy it again. It’s not a bad perfume, it depends on your collection and budget.

  • I didn’t pay attention to this rich and addictive fragrance until I tried it and realised why it’s a favourite for so many. It’s original, perfect for cold days, winter nights, or sunny days without being annoying if you don’t over-spray. It smells delicious: I detect cardamom, lavender, cinnamon, a bit of liquor, and a citrus touch, but I don’t notice the coffee note. Highly recommended.

  • Honestly, I expected more. The opening is potent with all the notes present, but it fades significantly, leaving just coffee, a hint of tonka bean, and a light touch of whisky and cinnamon (on my skin). After 30 minutes, it smells too citrusy for coffee, almost dirty, and performs the same on blotter. Dry down, however, it smells rich and delicious as coffee. The trail is weak, offering only a personal bubble, though it’s perfect for intense physical contact. The price is brilliant: 125ml for £30-35 means you can apply more to project better. I might buy it if I can’t find something similar with better projection. Scent: 8.1/10, Longevity: 7.5/10, Sillage: 6.3/10, Value: 9/10. Not a blind buy due to projection.

  • At first, it smells of coffee, but as it dries down, lavender takes over. It doesn’t last long, but considering the price, it does the job. To be honest, I don’t wear it out; only at home, haha.
