Le Male Elixir by Jean Paul Gaultier

I picked up Le Male Elixir for my decant business because people were asking for it constantly. It’s sweet and easy to wear; I thought it might be too cloying. It reminds me of the Parfum, but to be honest, I prefer the Parfum for longevity and projection. This has a more elegant and versatile touch, although there are better options within the line.

Excellent; I’ve been wearing it for two days and I’ve loved it. The sweet top notes and strong vanilla opening, combined with a very nice dry-down. The mint and honey give it that intimate, sweet vibe everyone talks about. Definitely delicious for special occasions or going out at night. I bought it on a whim to see the difference with the Ultra, which is now heavily used and this one almost isn’t. Very good, not for hot climates unless you’re indoors all day in air conditioning. The trail lasts about five hours with four sprays; from 7 to 12 the trail fades, and by 1 there’s no trace on the skin, but the scent lingers on clothes. A wonderful sweet fragrance as I’m used to with Le Male, but this is my take since I always lean towards sweet and soft tones.

La Cabra Absoluta. If YSL EDP is the king of daily wear, JPG Elixir is the king of the night. A bomb of honey, vanilla, and tobacco. An ode to good taste raised to the third power. I’ve read it’s for the young; nonsense. It suits every living being. Longevity: a day without exaggeration. Sillage: easily two metres. A fragrance women love and has given me more compliments (I own Azzaro Most Wanted, Wanted Intense, and SWY Intensely). Five sprays and you’re ready to conquer. Negative note: Versatility error 404. Total winter night perfume. Don’t expect to wear this to the office. But as said, it’s in a different category. Personal top three without a doubt.

I don’t understand why they say it’s super masculine; this suits a lady’s personality perfectly. Definitely, the Le Beau and Le Male Parfum lines are more masculine. Up to that point, this is super gourmand and exotic.

Very good, seductive, nocturnal, for winter and autumn more than summer, but if the day is fresh you can wear it just the same without that invasive or heavy feeling. A marvel of a fragrance.

I think it’s one of the best fragrances that exist. If you want people to smell you, you achieve it instantly with this. It was my first perfume and I have a soft spot for it, but it’s a top choice if you want to smell of vanilla. It’s sweet but not suffocating like Lattafa’s Kamrah; it has a perfect balance. It’s a bottle I’ll repurchase; I’ve tried the dupes and while they smell similar at first, none are equal.

What a delight. A more mature and winter version of Ultramale, with sweetness but without that sticky note; it’s delicious, a total compliment bomb. A laser recommendation is to apply Le Male Elixir first and then Ombre Leather; it leaves that characteristic Tom Ford leather note, super creamy and sweet. Spectacular.

It doesn’t smell different, but it smells very good. That blend of mint and honey is achieved to perfection, 0% synthetic, a sweet with a touch of freshness. With so many alternatives, I’m not sure I’d recommend it. By itself, it’s a beast; the only ‘but’ comes with the comparison, whether with its dupes or similar fragrances.

It’s a powerful and sweet perfume, though polarising. It has a very easy-to-understand formula: vanilla, mint, honey, and tobacco, nothing more. If I had to associate it, it would be caramel popcorn, at least at the start. It’s very youthful and trendy; I remember when it came out, the gourmand trend was just beginning and it was a sales hit. If you like the sweet, it’s a total success, but I’ve seen people say the scent makes them dizzy, so better to try it before buying. For exclusive night use and in the cold, when you want to stand out, this is the fragrance.

It’s perfect, simply a masterful jewel. 10/10 on scent, longevity, trail, and projection. If you like sweet and strong perfumes, you’re in the right place. It’s become my new favourite (call me crazy, but suddenly it gives me the vibes of Versace Eros and 1 Million Elixir).

I haven’t read anything, but this smells exactly like Halloween Man X, only they swap the coffee for tobacco, which is incredible. The hype is huge because it copies another undervalued fragrance entirely. Don’t misunderstand me, for me it’s a gem, but it’s nothing you haven’t heard before.

Smells good and feels quality, but it’s far too common and overused these days. It doesn’t seem serious or stylish enough for me, so I wouldn’t buy it myself; perhaps I’d gift it to someone under 25. It shares some traits with the original, but this one feels youthful and well-crafted, making it stand out among younger crowds. Price: 7/10, Quality: 9/10, Originality: 5/10, Scent: 8/10, Sillage: 8.5/10, Projection: 9/10, Longevity: 8/10, Overall: 7.5/10.

El Le Male Elixir exudes high-end designer quality, defying current trends and allowing older men to wear it without any awkwardness. It’s a remarkable achievement that strays from the classic, bearing no resemblance to it whatsoever.

It smells expensive and stands apart from Arabic fragrances. Very sexy and it earns you plenty of compliments. You can truly taste the honey. It doesn’t last as long as I’d expect for the price, but it is a divine fragrance.

It does not disappoint; it is reliable and easy to please for both sexes, ideal for those in their twenties and thirties. A classic JPG opening with lavender, but now enhanced with mint and vanilla that make it irresistible. It projects strongly for the first two hours, making a presence, and lasts for weeks on clothes. I recommend it for winter or autumn nights, but be careful with the sprays as they can cause headaches. Marked evolution: mint/lavanda opening, drying down to vanilla and tonka bean with a rich, chocolate-like gourmand feel. For me, the best JPG launch. If you’re looking for parties, go for Ultra Male or Le Parfum; this is for intimate dates where you want to stand out with sweetness. Rating: 9/10.
