Descripción

Uomo Salvatore Ferragamo Signature by Salvatore Ferragamo is a leather fragrance for men. Launched in 2018, the nose behind this composition is Alberto Morillas. The top notes unfold with Italian mandarin, pink pepper and grapefruit; the heart reveals cinnamon, cardamom and cypress; while the base notes settle on tonka bean, leather, roasted coffee beans and patchouli.

MY REVIEW: FOR NOW THIS FRAGRANCE HAS BECOME A VERY GOOD ELEMENT IN MY COLLECTION. THE OPENING IS VERY RICH, LOUD, AND SWEET, WITH GREEN APPLE. THE DRY DOWN IS SWEET, RICH, WITH A VERY SOFT COFFEE SCENT, AND A VERY RICH SWEET SCENT DOMINATES THROUGHOUT. 10/10 GOOD PERFUME.

  • Mario_esg

Excellent fragrance. Definitely, you must like sweet, warm, and gourmand perfumes, because this is all that and more. It’s intimate, ideal for a date and cold days. It falls short on trail and longevity, but it’s acceptable all in all 🙂

What joy to write my first review on Fragrantica. I try to be brief: it’s a VERY SWEET perfume, quite savoury, like smelling a creamy coffee dessert with a super masculine leather note. Projection depends on your skin; it projects well on me for about three hours and then drops, but it’s still perceptible. I recommend it for cold climates and evenings. The duration has satisfied me: it reaches 10 hours on skin. On clothes, it lasts days and smells great (a pity to wash it, haha). Many people compare it to Halloween Man X, I haven’t smelled it, but I will soon. CONCLUSION: Ideal for nights out and romantic dates. Very good duration, projection, and trail. 100% RECOMMENDED.

  • Misterdecant

A rather pleasant aroma, although I don’t find it anything like the Halloween Man X; I own both. The Uomo Signature seems less synthetic to me, and I love the mandarin in the opening. Totally recommended for cold days: 6-8 sprays on skin last 7-8 hours projecting for the first two. It lasts longer on clothes. It’s not a blind buy because the opening is very explosive and could be unpleasant to some; better to try it first.

I was at Sephora smelling perfumes and tried the Uomo Intense Signature. The first thing I thought was ‘wow’: the opening is very sweet and moderately fresh, seeming similar to the opening of Azzaro Most Wanted Intense. But once it dries down, the leather and pepper notes take over. It’s a superbly crafted tobacco scent, rich, sweet, and with that spicy touch. Definitely elegant for special occasions or dinners. It smells delicious; I highly recommend it: 9/10, one of my favourites.

  • This is one of my favourites, clearly having improved its longevity since its release. It’s for all year round, without fear of warm days, although its projection is low. I don’t find it similar to the original. I’ve received compliments, especially when wearing leather clothing and riding a motorbike. It has no defined age, but suits semi-formal occasions best. Blind buy: if you like One Million, this is the father without a doubt.

  • I was gifted a large bottle. The scent isn’t super original, but it smells fantastic. It’s semi-dark, and the main notes stand out: tonka bean, cinnamon, and herbs, as the others evolve or fade. The patchouli lingers in the base after about five good hours, perhaps eight in total (I have a 2020 bottle, confirmed via Checkfresh). It projects well, suitable for casual wear or dates; at work, it depends on the number of sprays. It’s not overly sweet, reminding me of a Carolina Herrera mixed with a sweet Paco Rabanne. It has personality, though not much; it’s simple and does its job. Good price on certain websites. I recommend it, and what I like is that Alberto Morillas created it. SCENT: 8/10 QUALITY: 8/10 TRAIL: 9/10 ORIGINALITY: 8/10 VERSATILITY: 9/10 PRICE: 10/10 PROJECTILE: 9/10 TOTAL: 8.5/10

  • I own both the classic F. Uomo and the Signature; I adore both, but they differ once they dry down: the Signature is more leather, whereas the original keeps its line with that tiramisu vibe. I also have the Halloween Man X, which is gourmet but very distinct from Uomo; it’s not the same, even if some reviewers claim it is.

  • Sergioparfum

I’d pay more than it’s worth. Although it’s cheap, it’s incredibly good, sweet and masculine. The leather disappears but changes pleasantly: first citrus pepper and leather, then more leather with cinnamon and cardamom, and a hint of coffee at the base wrapping everything. Spectacular for going out at night, whether informal or formal. Bomb in longevity and projection, brilliant.

The Uomo Signature. I have it and I hate it. I bought it blindly on Notino and when I opened it at home, after four sprays, I thought: what the hell is this? A disaster. I like strong fragrances with leather, coffee and patchouli, but this smells bad. It seems poorly assembled, without grace or appeal. If you want a good Ferragamo, forget this absurd Uomo Signature and switch to the Uomo EDT, the F Black with lavender or the Leather scents, soft and versatile. For what it is, this Signature looks expensive. A pity, Morillas. The hype and fame have ruined it.

  • nataliedrm

Just leather and coffee. Far from outstanding, the longevity is poor: barely five hours on the skin and a weak trail. I expected something as rich and long-lasting as the Uomo by Valentino, but the truth is I was disappointed.

  • Pablod78p

Smells like tiramisu, that boozy scent with vanilla and cocoa. A gourmand perfume, exquisite if you like sweets.

  • Alexcampoy

To anyone considering buying it: let the bottle rest for two or three weeks. I bought it in December and was excited; it smells good, reminiscent of 212 VIP Black but more serious and elegant. At first I was disappointed, it didn’t last more than two hours and it seemed odd to others. But after my friend’s graduation in January, what a surprise! The maceration did magic. Now it has a huge trail and exaggerated longevity, even with smoke and alcohol in the air. The suit became impregnated and it still smelled until 11 April. Don’t be disillusioned if you don’t give it time. Good perfume and a pleasant surprise.

  • Orlandoperfumesman

Batch 2021. It is one of the few that lasts perfectly on my dry skin and projects strongly for about five hours, and on clothes it lasts days even after washing. A masculine and elegant aroma for dressing well. It resembles the Uomo Classic (90% similar in the opening) but turns the longevity around. It’s a Classic just as rich but more potent and serious.

  • Elpinchejocho

Listen, is it redundant to own this if I already have Halloween Man X? I love the composition, but I don’t want to duplicate. I always look for something different, even if the notes are similar.

  • If you want to escape the saturation of SWY and Azzaro TMW, this is your spot. It smells unique, yes, with that sweetness of cinnamon, habanillo and cardamom, but the roasted coffee and leather put the brakes on. Here we aren’t looking for an innocent dessert, but a mature, classy man.

  • boris steven

Wow! Caught me off guard. It opens with a brutal mandarin evolving into a delicious leather with coffee and vanilla. Yes, it’s compared to Halloween X for that vanilla touch and coffee, but they are two different paths. Uomo Signature goes for a soft, gourmet leather without being cloying. It’s mature, serious and elegant, ideal for dates or nights out. Perfume bomb!

  • A different perfume, the bad kind of sweet that isn’t for everyone. A distinct aroma: sweet mandarin at first that lasts about two minutes, then a sweet citrus that launches into something milky/vanillic, like a malted drink with leather, sharp and sweet but sober. It lasts a long time projecting for about four hours and fades slowly until finishing on a scent of toasted woods on skin. It lasts about 12 hours. It’s a fragrance nothing light, only for use in cold weather, in the heat it will make you dizzy.

  • naso_en_ciernes

An extremely alcoholic opening that really threw me off, something I haven’t heard even in some low-end Arabic perfumes. The problem is that I still perceive that alcoholic trail when it dries down, am I the only one, am I hallucinating? (It does improve as minutes pass). I can’t find the roasted coffee or the leather. This perfume has a certain hype, though I already knew it hung around the neighbourhood of Halloween Man X (another perfume that doesn’t say much to me anymore) and I confirm it: they are close cousins, which doesn’t really help. Moreover, I think Man X is actually several steps ahead, especially in performance and potency. I’m not qualified to judge, it’s just by nose, but I wouldn’t recommend buying it without trying. I prefer a pharmacy perfume, more normal and everyday, and I think I’d be better off with that, at least for the low price paid. Projection and performance are only moderate. It doesn’t excite me, it disappoints me rather. It’s not his fault Mr Morillas, it’s the brand… I suppose. I know you have other masterpieces in perfumery. I don’t know if it deserves it or I’m just too lazy to give this fragrance another chance.

  • Penetreitor 2000

That combination of mandarin, tonka and leather is very unpleasant to my nose, I don’t recommend buying it blind.

  • I just want to say don’t lie to us by saying it’s similar to the original (smelling like tiramisu). This perfume is purely vanilla leather and sweet, but above all a leather that slaps you in the face. It’s ideal for day and night, but best in cold weather. Overall it leaves a huge trail, lasts 8-10 hours and has a quite good scent. I’d give it an 8/10 overall.

  • A good combination of spiced coffee with citrus, pepper, cinnamon and leather. Very good for night outs, lasts quite a while and smells like a rich, warm coffee. Totally recommended. Similar to this house’s classic but with more power and longevity. Reminiscent of Halloween X by J del Pozo, though Ferragamo is more elegant.

  • It’s very rich, spiced leather and coffee, but not overly dark thanks to the citrus. It smells far more expensive than it is; if you find it for under $35, it could be a blind buy. As for those who don’t detect the coffee, one must understand that in fragrances essential oils are used and the coffee note doesn’t smell the same as a Starbucks mocha.

  • Alexrojas2908

It smells very good, rich leather with coffee. I see it as perfect for any occasion, who doesn’t like the scent of coffee?

  • Look, at first it smells very much like 1 Million EDT, both fresh and dry down, just less intense. I suppose it’s obvious because they share cinnamon, spices, leather and mandarin, though I can’t recall any other notes. The only thing I noticed was a hint of coffee and perhaps something vanilla-like. I was expecting something sweeter, like a coffee-soy with lots of vanilla, but instead it gives me so many 1 Million vibes :/

PLEASANT LEATHER, EASY TO USE. Unlike the classic Uomo, strangely enough, it feels easier to use for me, perhaps due to the concentration and the scent, as this doesn’t project as much and isn’t as invasive or sweet. Perfect for daily wear on cold mornings. I like to use it with rain but not at night, because I feel the leather note is more serious than seductive; I can’t see myself using it to go out partying, I feel it’s ‘corporate’. Great option for an office signature in the cold. The profile is roasted coffee from start to finish, top notes of pepper with saffron (note that I generally dislike), which quickly turns into a bright, lactonic, chocolatey tiramisu that blends with the leather, a bright profile that in minutes becomes dark and serious; if it were a colour, it would be brown. Although due to the saffron and leather, it smells like plastic or silicone, something not perceived in the Uomo EDT. Performance is good, lasts quite a bit on the skin, 8 to 10 hours, although projection is low, personal sillage type, doesn’t fill rooms, leaves a shy scent behind, which I like because the scent improves being discreet. In conclusion, it’s rich and correct, but personally I prefer the Uomo EDT traditional a thousand times; this Signature feels less unique, lower quality, feels plastic and muted compared to the original. Aside from that, I recommend it for those who find the Uomo EDT too sweet or who like leather but don’t want to project as much. I sold the Signature because it felt redundant and worse, although I reiterate, it’s a good perfume.

  • TheWeightOfTheFragrance

It’s a DE-LI-CI-O-U S fragrance, very rich, very masculine, sweet leather smell super rich, and that coffee is a very good addition. Highly recommended.

  • I’m not much of a fan of Morillas fragrances, but with this one, he took it out of the stadium. Excellent perfume, dark and lordly, though in just the right measure. That coffee note with the tangerine is an odyssey.

  • STGO.DECANT

Uomo Signature current (batch 2024, mine). The bottle that says only FERRAGAMO with a cap equal to the old atomiser. It doesn’t have the power of the old bottles that say Salvatore Ferragamo. If you’re looking for this perfume, try to get old batches. The new ones are softer in projection and sillage, but they still last 7-8 hours on the skin, acceptable. The previous ones were beasts. I regret not buying it five years ago: it was a bomb, projecting for 5 hours and lasting 15-16 on the skin. I also remember that the old ones had the coffee note very high from the start; 2-3 sprays were torture. Perhaps that’s why they softened it. It still smells good, but the sillage and projection are very subtle. If you want this perfume, look for 2018 to 2022 batches, that’s where they made the black beasts. If you don’t want to faint with 5 sprays of the old ones, buy the new format. It’s very good, but clearly they lowered it to be suitable for everyone.

  • Perfumista choro🔥🥷

Blind buy guaranteed. Dark scent that balances perfectly with the youthfulness thanks to the fruity top notes. Very versatile, with few sprays it works even in heat (though not in extreme heat), as when it dries the dark part recedes and the fruity and fresh notes take the spotlight. If you want something good, beautiful, and cheap, plus not being so common, it’s excellent. Its performance is quite good.

  • This review is complicated… I don’t have a trained nose, so I’m speaking from the user experience. It was my first ‘expensive’ fragrance, costing around £70 in Spain in 2024 at Douglas. It seems an outrageous price, absurdly expensive, and I made a rookie mistake entering the collecting hobby. Scent: very warm, leathery at the start, very pleasant, sexy and masculine. When it dries, it becomes dark, warm, and sweet. Exceptional. Sillage: little, personal bubble and no more. Longevity: satisfactory, you can tell it’s a good perfume, evolves well over time. About two hours in the bubble and about four on the skin. Ideal for a date with a shirt and blazer or a suit. If you spray it on clothes the next day, it still smells. Usage: 100% masculine, for that special girl. Sexy, masculine, and elegant. High price, but since you only use it in specific situations, it will last you a long time. Blind buy without doubt, but with appropriate usage: blazer and shirt. With other clothes, it will clash. PS: Not for very young people, age range 30 and above.

  • saulrojas89158

I picked it up for $25, a steal. Compared to the classic, they aren’t the same; for me, this is better due to the leather, which, although light, adds sophistication. The top notes remind me of Armani Code or Natura Homme Potence, but the good stuff is in the dry-down: leather with cardamom and tonka bean, very enjoyable. The coffee is noticeable but very weak, so if you’re looking for a coffee scent, look elsewhere in niche. Smells like light, ambered leather. Lasts about 6-7 hours, good projection for 1 to 2 hours, then personal bubble. Perfect for dates or even the office.

  • Gentlemen, top-tier quality. It’s bold and attractive from start to finish. Opens citrusy with tangerine and grapefruit, semi-spicy yet enveloping. Then the magic happens: it becomes dense, an aroma that ‘cuts’ through the air. The coffee is delicious, though I imagined it drier; it blends perfectly with leather and tonka bean, creating a dark, mysterious aura that dries down to patchouli. Top, heart, and dry-down are a wonder. It’s my signature scent; I love it. Note: control the sprays during the day. The dry-down is very masculine and inviting; that patchouli gives it a woody, earthy, and damp tone that, combined with the coffee and leather… I won’t tell you. Compliments come one after another. On me: longevity 9h, projection 2h, sillage 2h, skin trail 5h, room trail 2m (2h). Recommended for dates, semi-formal events, and meetings. Not for office, formal occasions, clubs, or sport. Ideal from 25 years old. 8/10 Masculine, attractive, and mysterious.

  • The price isn’t that high (as the previous reviewer said). It’s just that Douglas… mother of pearl, how they fluctuate. You can find it for less than £40 for 100ml on Notino.
