Reminds me of light ‘blue’ fragrances like Versace Eau Fraiche. Not very original; it resembles many of its kind (more aromatic aquatic than woody). If you like the Ferragamo line, keep it; if you’re looking for something light, modern and ‘blue’, it’s an option.

  • It’s good, fresh and masculine, though a bit generic like most nowadays. Best wishes from Phoenix, Arizona; I’ll see what new releases come up to comment on soon.

  • It’s good, fresh and masculine, though it feels a bit generic like most of today’s offerings. Best wishes from Phoenix, Arizona; I’ll continue looking for new releases here to review them soon.

  • Smells good, fresh and pleasant, with lemon, ginger and cardamom; gives a woody impression. Easy to wear, light, ideal for sport or relaxing at home. Harmless in crowds. A bit generic, with low longevity and a skin-scent trail, but it smells good 🙂

  • F by Ferragamo is an all-rounder that shines at night, featuring cardamom, vetiver and Virginia cedar that give it elegant character and a liquorish note, steering it away from being too aquatic. Its mid-notes of lime and ginger are top-notch, and Free Time lasts through four seasons with enough punch for dirty city streets; when the temperature rises, it’s there! Plus, it’s affordable and a triumph by Oliver Polge.

  • F by Ferragamo works brilliantly in any weather, especially evening and night. Its cardamom, vetiver and Virginia cedar give it intensity and elegance, with a liqueur-like touch that sets it apart from aquatic scents. Bright middle notes: ginger and lime are top. Free Time is a four-season scent, potent and elegant for polluted environments. When the temperature rises, here I am! Plus, it’s cheap. A great call by Olivier Polge.

I’ve just acquired this delicious fragrance and I love it. Recommended for all ages. It lasts over 12 hours on skin; I’ll confirm the trail soon. Ferragamo smells clean and fresh, very cool. Olivier Polge did magic with the pink pepper and Virginia cedar, achieving the expected impact.

  • I’m wearing it now. I tried it a month ago and it didn’t suit me. It’s fresh with lemon at the start, but the pink pepper combined with cardamom doesn’t click for me; the woody base sounds artificial. I didn’t detect ginger, vetiver or musk. In short: lemon (15 mins), pepper, sweaty skin and fake wood. It’s not unpleasant but it’s not for me. Projection is good for the first hour, then skin scent only. Longevity is scarce, 4-5 hours. I’ll gift it; I bought it cheap alongside F Black (I preferred that one), for under $20. Try before you buy; I bought it blind and it didn’t work out.

  • Moderate to strong longevity and trail; it needs time to open as the opening is dense and spicy, reminiscent of Victorinox: earthy, woody and rich at a distance. Fresh and casual, it smells masculine. I loved it as a woman.

  • Ferragamo Free Time was in my shop and I gifted it to my brother. We were both amazed. It’s exquisite, very manly, fresh with citrus and woody notes. It projects metres away and is simply charming.

  • “F by Ferragamo Free Time” is a citrus enigma. It opens with vibrant Amalfi lemon and spicy ginger. The heart, with pink pepper and cardamom, risks a discord between heat and freshness. The base of vetiver, musk and cedar adds solidity and masculinity. It walks the tightrope of audacity: a declarative opening, a challenging heart and a traditional base. It’s not for everyone, but for those who can handle its complexity, it’s a hymn to individuality. It deserves applause for its bravery and personal experience.

  • Back in 2012, hunting for perfumes was an adventure: I’d stroll through shops or the aisles of San Andresito, where an advisor introduced me to F By Free Time, a citrus-musky scent that reminded me of Givenchy Blue Label by Alberto Morillas. On researching, I learned the creator is Oliver Polge, the mastermind behind Dior Homme, Bleu Chanel Parfum and La Vie Est Belle, which gives it a certain pedigree. Although Versace Pour Homme competes in that line with its amber, cedar and musk base, Free Time feels warmer and spicier due to its heart of pepper and cardamom. It seems simple but has charm, leaving a solid bubble for five to six hours and is a bargain for this profile. Recommended for the office and relaxed days in spring and summer. Today I returned to this nostalgic aroma and it made me smile as I recalled my walks around Bogotá D.C. With mild or cool breezes, it always works. Scent: 8.0, Longevity: 7.5, Projection: 7, Versatility: 7.5, Feminine Perception: 7, Price: 9, Total: 7.5.

It just doesn’t quite click with my skin, perhaps due to my pH or the extreme heat. I agree with ‘mistery’ from 2021: it smells like sweaty skin, almost intimate. It reminds me of cumin, maybe due to the mix of cardamom and pepper with the citrus. On blotter it smelled good: warm citrus, spicy, with a faint fruity caramel sweetness. I’ll leave it to try in less hot weather to see if that cumin note improves before updating.

I have over 400 perfumes and this is my wife’s favourite. That’s something special!

  • Very good value for money. It’s not a unique scent; it becomes generic, but that doesn’t make it bad. Clean, elegant, ideal for the office in the heat, casual or formal wear. The only thing I’d ask for is better longevity (4-6 hours), but given the profile and how pleasant it smells, it’s sufficient.

  • F by Ferragamo Free Time is citrusy, aromatic and musky: it starts sharp and fresh, almost as if it had aldehydes, then gains body with spices and an aquatic sensation before drying down to musk and wood. It lasted seven hours on me, with a regular trail at first before settling close to the skin. Ideal for spring, summer, the beach or casual outings; it smells fantastic and is cheap. I’d add it to my blind-buy list; the risk is minimal and if you don’t like it, it makes a perfect gift.

  • F by Ferragamo Free Time is citrus, aromatic and musky. The opening is fresh and sharp, almost aldehydic. Then spices come through, giving it body and an aquatic feel, finishing with a musky and woody base. It lasted me 7 hours: average trail at first, then closer to the skin. Perfect for spring/summer days, the beach, or casual outings. Pleasant and cheap, safe to buy blind or as a gift.

ABSOLUTELY MARVELLOUS! I’ve worn it for a year. At first, I was disappointed it was citrus rather than aquatic as I expected, but now it’s one of my top three favourites out of 45 bottles for that invigorating scent. The only downside is longevity, but for the smell, I’ll buy it again without a doubt.

A total bargain! A cheap perfume that really surprises; completely citrusy. Ideal for the heat.
