What a wonderful perfume! For being fresh, it’s incredibly elegant; it’s not just another run-of-the-mill cologne, it carries real class like the rest of the line. The opening is quite sharp, but once it dries down, you get those spices and woods that make it unique. I absolutely love it.

It’s a fresh, elegant, and very pleasant perfume. To be honest, personally, I’m not particularly fond of citrus fragrances.

Colognes are the best option for summer because they provide freshness without weighing you down in the heat. Declaration Cologne is one of my favourites for this season. I use it after a night shower to refresh myself and feel clean; it smells fantastic. I pump the dispenser as if there’s no tomorrow because its longevity is short, about two hours, but the trail is noticeable for the first half-hour before it stays very close to the skin. It’s a very light version of the original that retains all its DNA while adding freshness.

  4. I couldn’t disagree more with those who say this perfume is for people lacking courage; it’s exquisite but has its moments. Very fresh due to the citrus and ginger, quite versatile with a touch of elegance. Also, I’d see anyone from a 20-year-old to a 200-year-old wearing it; it’s quite timeless. Longevity is around six hours; it’s bottled summer.

  5. A bit ugly, soapy, and very timid. Recommended for people who are cautious with fragrances.

  6. Declaration Cologne smells brilliant; it has a delicious handling of citrus notes. Although it lacks the olfactory evolution of its parent fragrance, it’s very pleasant to the nose. Among the citrus notes, I detect a lime scent that, together with the spices, makes it very energising. For me, it’s one of the best Declaration versions, surpassing L’eau which I also like. It suits any season, but its forte is summer. The only drawback is that it fades to the skin very quickly, but the scent is worth it. For those who enjoy citrus, it’s a very good option; for me, it’s one of the best I’ve ever smelled.

Today I tried this marvel. Although I prefer the original Declaration (1998), this one is much more complex; far from being lighter, I feel it’s more intense. The battle between ginger and citrus is truly a spectacle; it deserves a front-row seat. The woody notes barely make an appearance, serving as an arbiter in this epic battle. It’s a very masculine fragrance (by my standards). As Chimoltrufia said: ‘What’s there to say no to, yes, yes?’ hehe. I like it, although I stick with the original. I find it hard to be more objective with Cartier.
