Carat by Cartier

Reminds me of Place Vendôme by Boucheron for women. The scent is like sharpening coloured pencils.

Green pear and floral from the start, in a luxury bottle that reflects light. It evokes discreet and timeless elegance; it’s delicate, neat and classy. In spring and summer, it refreshes gently. I struggle to distinguish its notes because as it settles, the intensity drops significantly, leaving a linear, clean and soapy aroma. Even if applied generously, its longevity and projection are scarce; you have to reapply. I bought it blindly as ‘green’, but it’s more floral pear than green. The pear is so prominent it reminds me of Petite Chérie by Annick Goutal, but less sweet. Pleasant, but I don’t love it. Its floral development creates ambivalence in me, though I will keep using it to see how it performs in different climates. 22/05/25: In autumn, the longevity is poor. The scent becomes acidic and the floral phase unpleasant. Very intense yellow flowers overwhelm me. At night, the soapy side takes over and the pear feels relaxing, prolonging the post-shower cleanliness sensation. 12/10/25: Finally, it didn’t convince me, so I gifted it to my mum because I couldn’t stand its potent floral scent with that acidic, soapy edge. She loved it and she’s 75 years old xD

An olfactory spectacle. It screams class and good taste, with a trail that doesn’t offend. Excellent longevity on my skin. A pear bathed in green notes with an unidentified floral element, perhaps the combination of all, creates an excellent balance. I love it.

They gave it to me as a sample and I loved it. It’s floral, one of my favourites, it transports me and it’s my go-to perfume. I detect all the notes: pear, bergamot, greens, hyacinth and violet which appears later with the musk, leaving a beautiful scent. Super feminine, sensual and magical. Longevity is moderate, but it’s fine with reapplication. The trail and longevity are moderate; it’s not heavy. I adore it. The bottle is sturdy and beautiful glass. Cartier is Cartier, and it shows.

I didn’t like it at first. I don’t like florals and this seemed shocking and strong to me. Then I started to take a liking to it, ending up in a love/hate relationship that confuses me. It seems elegant and formal, but with a touch of audacity. Sadly, it doesn’t last long, but it complements my skin well. It’s elegant and sensual. I like it a lot.

I was surprised when I bought it blind: a delicate, fresh, and clean floral aroma that isn’t overpowering. The dry-down is sweet without being cloying; it’s a classy burst of white flowers. It doesn’t resemble anything in my collection. Elegant, fresh, and modern. Beautiful packaging. The longevity and sillage are moderate, and the projection is weak. Ideal for summer or spring if you don’t like florals; if you do, this isn’t for you, friend.

At first, I thought I couldn’t smell it, but now I can: it’s a sun of absolute delicacy, so soft a baby would find it comfortable. Pure, luminous, discreet, and long-lasting. It has the softness and warmth of white wool. Adorable for daytime spring and summer, and perfect for nights of innocent elegance.

I was looking for something fresh for elegant summer wear. I tested it on a strip and was surprised: clean, elegant green floral. However, when applied to skin, it changed significantly: intense floral, almost overwhelming, and it gave me a headache. It’s not bad; it is exquisite, but I would save it for autumn and winter. On dry skin, it resembles L’ Eau de Issey.

I like it very much; it is a cheerful floral-fruit scent with a marked pear note. Medium longevity, staying close to the skin from the start. If I have to lean in to smell it, my partner doesn’t notice; my mother, who always sniffs me out, only detected it yesterday half an hour after application. I imagine it is non-existent for those less close. Fortunately, I only bought 30 ml. EDIT: In the end, it convinced me; even people complimented me when I applied it generously. I spent the last millilitres with regret and plan to replace it.

What a beauty, elegance, subtlety, and wonder. It cheers me up and lifts the spirit. In my opinion, exclusive for spring and summer. The sillage is almost enigmatic; suddenly a good scent reaches you, and you think, ‘Is there a flowering tree nearby?’. The mimosa is noticeable and I love it. It follows the line of Baiser Vole, though they are not alike. Baiser Vole is more floral; I prefer Carat, which is more musky. Here there is no sugar, only flower nectar with exquisite delicacy. It is in my cart for the next purchase.

Lovely! I adore it. It’s something not often seen on the market: floral and green, with medium longevity and a moderate sillage. When it seems to have disappeared, it’s like a breeze, and there it is, Carat. I see it more for spring or summer, though it can be worn at any time as a daytime scent. It’s super refined and delicate. Edit: it has nothing sweet about it; it’s a pure floral bouquet with a green touch.

Bought it today. It’s green, floral, clean, and unsweetened, ideal for those summer days when you want to feel freshly bathed. I’ve loved it; it’s perfect for resting your nose from very strong perfumes.

The mouillette seemed like a clean floral to me, with a light white flower, slightly green, watery, and powdery, but in perfect balance. On my skin, however, it smelled like sweaty armpits. Must be the pH.

The first time I smelled it, it caught my attention for its peculiar scent. I couldn’t recall anything similar; it seemed green, like peas, but nothing strong or citrusy. When I tried it on my skin, it became more feminine and lasted, until I asked the sales assistant for a vial and started using it for several days. What a marvel! I wore it during the day, at night, and even to sleep. It’s a scent that hooks you: fresh but not citrusy, floral yet very airy. You can’t identify a single note; it’s clean without being soapy or powdery, sweet but not gourmand. It’s very feminine and sparkling, puts you in a good mood, and creates an aura around you. It makes me feel special. People compare it to Trussardi’s My Name and it has that style, but this is less heavy and lacks that sticky note the other has. I find it delicious and already have it in my collection. It lasts five or six hours with medium projection. If you like overpowering perfumes, this isn’t for you, but if you want to smell delicious at medium and short range and have people want to lean in, this is the one for you.

A delight. It has the Cartier style that never fails. Wonderful.
