Baiser Vole by Cartier

I grabbed this blindly, super excited because I’d loved Cartier Carat before without even knowing it… But this one, despite being rich, hasn’t won me over. It reminds me of that cheap Flor do Luar by Natura I owned and gave away; I was overwhelmed by its sweet, dark, and creamy scent. It becomes more pleasant and floral over time, but the opening is almost unbearable. I already own it and will use it, but I wouldn’t buy it again.

This perfume is the perfect representation of what I think someone like Florence Welch would wear. A girl surrounded by flowers and trees, in long dresses, carefree about life and barefoot <3 I went to the shop looking for LA PANTHERE. I tried this one, but the green note (which I perceive as freshly cut grass) made me hesitate to buy it. I'm not a floral perfume person, and this was definitely very new for me. Driven by excitement, I ended up buying LA PANTHERE, but hours later, where I had tested BAISER VOLE, it smelled so delicious!! Like fresh grass with a powdery and floral touch, super delicate and beautiful. I regret buying La Panthere that day, but I went back for Baiser and truly love it. It's a scent that doesn't bother. It feels elegant and floral; that green note makes it very different from anything else I've smelled. Longevity on skin could be said to be almost 12 hours, very close to the skin but still smelling. On clothes a bit less. Sillage isn't very pronounced, but it's a scent for personal enjoyment. Very elegant; you smell like a refined, classy girl, even if you're not hahaha It's a super good investment!

Wow, this Baiser Vole! A few days ago I was testing several Cartier fragrances, mostly to avoid the Christmas hustle rather than looking to buy something, when suddenly I felt the immediate surroundings flooded with a magnificent fresh lily scent. It was so suggestive that it forced me to turn around in search of it, and certainly I found it in the hands of a saleswoman who was showing it to some ladies at that moment. They all stared at me, more surprised by my reaction than by the product itself. There were laughs and a gesture from the shop assistant, still holding the bottle, implying the fragrance was well worth it if it could elicit reactions like mine. I had to apologise, smile, say something kind, and wait for the sale before I could test the fragrance. It has resulted in an elegant, fresh, gentle, cheerful, and calm aroma, yet not devoid of a sensual aspect that must be sought within simplicity. The opening can be a bit predominant regarding the floral aspect, but almost immediately the citrus note gains enough space to put things in their place. I find Baiser Vole to be eminently spring-like, daytime, and so feminine that it is captivating. I think it’s excellent for young people, lively people, and for those who wish to generate optimistic and pleasant moments with a touch of prestige. Projection and longevity are correct, although personally I would wish they were greater. I recommend it highly.

Finally, I’ve added this gem to my collection; I’ve been wanting it for years 😻 😻 It’s a work of art in its entirety. Stolen kiss: simple in its chord structure, but tannnn so sophisticated on skin, lasts forever, doesn’t bother, doesn’t invade. Once applied, close your eyes and perceive a lily; it’s the same sensation. That base green note is felt, but as if it were the lily stem, making it totally compatible with its performance. Only a woman with class, refined, elegant, and chic could wear it. Its bottle doesn’t fall behind; it has a very thin golden side-opening cap. It’s a beauty. 10/10 ✨

Stately, subtle, and elegant. I would recommend it for daily use for those who can afford it. Scent close to the skin, refined, and feminine. Suitable for any age in a woman of good taste. It’s fine, soft, and harmonious.

Simple yet far from boring: lily, citrus and green notes. Stealing a Kiss is tenderness, discretion and elegance. Upon application, the lily dominates with a very distinguished floral and green touches. Although it is the star, it evolves; sometimes it smells sweet, other times the fresh, aquatic stem like morning dew. The trail is moderate but enveloping, lasting 5-6 hours. Versatile, I use it all year round.

Delicate and soft.

Baiser has a super beautiful opening that thrilled me. I felt it very green and fresh, with density, but then it became more conventional: a clean, refined and monotonously melancholic scent, of a simple and pleasant beauty. The lily is asleep beside some soft and elegant barber’s pepper. Memories of lotions and foams from decades past, with an unusual calm.

Another Cartier gem. A complex velvety floral with grass that when settled creates an elegant thread of diverse layers. It has a talc and herbal touch where the lily defines. The sweet nectar of the lily is balanced by the grass, giving a scent with its own seal and character. It does not roar nor last as long as the Panther; it is ‘antifragile’, something that with time becomes more beautiful and strengthens more.

I love white flowers and I did not have any where the lily stood out until this Cartier creation. It is a charm, a creamy and strong flower, subtly adorned to reinforce its protagonist. For sensitive noses or warm climates it can be intense, as the lily has notable presence, similar to neroli and mimosa. If you are floral lovers, go for it. A year and a half later, I got tired of its floral intensity; perhaps because of using it in summer and spring, where the predominance of lilies reaches boredom. Advice: prioritise cold or very fresh days.

Although I’ve mentioned this before, today I’m absolutely over the moon: my best friend, currently on holiday in Mexico from Switzerland, brought it for me and made me the happiest person. It is a delicious fragrance, a softened version of Guerlain’s L’Instant but so similar that they are two scents I adore. Now I’m waiting for a special occasion to debut this treasure. What joy it is to feel someone gift you a good book when you have a reading addiction, and an exquisite perfume.

A Cartier saleswoman described this perfume so well: they used the freshest flowers possible to preserve that green note which is lost if the flowers ripen on the plant. Few notes and a perfect scent. It has nothing to do with Guerlain’s L’Instant, which features honey, vanilla, amber, and many spectacular sweet touches, but in a different way that never quite achieves this fresh green note without becoming citrusy. Baiser Vole is fantastic.

I received it through an exchange, choosing it based on the reviews on this page. Upon trying it, I thought I had made a mistake… its opening hit me like a floral slap, transporting me to an overflowing flower shop or, worst of all, a cemetery. However, after trying it several more times, it captured my heart. It seems extremely distinguished and elegant, a mature and complex floral with very green aspects and a magnificent trail (it projects quite well for the first 4-5 hours) and lasts 10-12 hours on my skin. It confuses me that sometimes I perceive a salty note and other times a hint of sweetness, yet it is eminently floral with an interesting development. Despite what other opinions say, it does not seem soft to me at all; with just four sprays (inside wrists and sides of the neck), I have enough. For me, it is exclusively for spring; I see it as wonderful for daytime events, offering great presence and it is clear it is a high-quality fragrance. If you do not like potent florals… run! Lovely perfume. It has just run out and I’m not going to repurchase. I used it for going to the office because it is so soft and non-intrusive.

The very day I acquired La Panthere, I discovered Baiser Volé and wanted to know more about it. For a while I’ve read reviews and it strikes me that people talk about its lily scent when Cartier mentions lilies. Personally, I don’t mind because I like the perfume and that’s enough. On my skin, for the first two hours, it smells like incense or a type of sandalwood, which later transforms into one of the finest creations I’ve encountered. It feels like being surrounded by an aura of warm well-being. Intoxicating and distinguished. I find it quite feminine, for a confident and firm woman. It transports me to airports and arrivals in exotic, tropical countries. Those impossible-to-forget scents that you want more of. Along with the bottle design, it seems like a jewel.
