Excellent perfume. For an EDT, it lasts quite well and projects beautifully. Very masculine too. The spicy notes really stand out, especially the paprika. Highly recommended, truly.
At this stage, I divide fragrances into two: those that perform and those that barely register. Savage Elixir costs a fortune but delivers like an elixir. This Spicebomb, however, although original and characterful, neither lasts nor projects; it’s nonsense for the price. If it performed, I’d buy it, but it doesn’t. Scent: 8, Projection: 6.5, Longevity: 6.
I tried this pomegranate and it tastes of cinnamon, warm, woody and spicy. The cinnamon is noticeable with leather, tobacco and chilli. Perfect for nights and cold weather, plus I like its pomegranate design.
At first, it’s a bit of a shock. The cinnamon, saffron, tobacco, leather and pepper are a bomb of spices. Then it dries down to balsamic and sweet, almost seeming vanilla-like over tobacco. It’s like a lighter version of Tobacco Vanille, not cloying, but overwhelming for many. Only for autumn or winter. Performance is fair. The bottle is great and the atomiser is excellent. Don’t buy blind.
Curious bottle, the packaging makes you want to own it. The opening is a rich spice bomb, but after an hour I stopped perceiving it. Then it came back and so on for about six hours, going and coming. Or maybe it’s me, as at times I don’t feel it.
I like it a lot, but its longevity and trail aren’t its strong point. I spray it on clothes and neck and can’t smell it after two hours. I’ve received compliments, but otherwise I don’t think I’ll buy it again.
Very tasty, the cinnamon is what stands out the most.
Just as the name suggests. If you want to smell of pepper, cinnamon, leather and vanilla (although not declared), this is the one. I’m fascinated by it, but in heat it can be oppressive. It’s sweet, very spicy, projects and lasts quite a while. I’ve received compliments. Authentic, mysterious and extroverted.
A bomb. 💣 On these cold days it’s explosive and delicious. You can tell the cinnamon, tobacco, pepper and other spices. Decent projection, about two hours intense, even it invaded me a bit. Longevity is fair for an EDT, about five to six hours. I hadn’t tried the Spicebomb line and loved it. I’ll try the other flankers. Despite its age, I feel it’s modern and masculine. It leaves a mark, it’s for receiving compliments and being the centre of attention. 10/10 ❤️
A real treat
The crown jewel among designer scents; without a doubt, the best you can grab.
Absolutely beastly for winter; it projects like crazy and has earned me countless compliments. It’s a bomb. I bought it in summer, but on those freezing nights, it’s been a real beast. Lasts 10-12 hours on skin; on clothes, well, you know. Can’t wait to try the Extreme version.
Top-tier fragrances indeed, but the battery life is non-existent: 1 hour on skin, 2 on clothes. I’m not coming back.
A pleasant surprise. It looks youthful yet has character. The opening is a radiant, sharp citrus bomb with spicy undertones, particularly pink pepper. As it dries down, cinnamon and saffron take control until the very end. Then comes subtle tobacco and leather that give it body. It’s youthful, but in a mature, formal way. Ideal for cold weather, evenings, and semi-formal occasions. Leaves a lovely trail and the performance is decent. For the price, it’s very interesting.
Cinnamon, loads of cinnamon. If you don’t like this note, run away. It’s the younger sibling of ‘Bulgari Man in Black’; this one is for the young, while Bulgari’s is for the gentleman, more nocturnal and sophisticated. Here, cinnamon rules; in the other, it’s leather. It’s an inoffensive ‘Spice Bomb’, Christmas in a bottle. Smells like a candy stick shop, bathed apples, and sweets. Total gourmand aroma.
Spicebomb by Viktor & Rolf is a classic, an olfactory spice bomb noticeable from the very first second. Strong opening of pepper, tobacco, and a touch of citrus (bergamot or grapefruit). As it dries down, cinnamon gives a sweet warmth alongside a discreet leather. Over time, the light pepper, cinnamon, more noticeable tobacco, leather, and vetiver stand out better. A great option for cold days, from early morning to dinners or dates. They say it doesn’t last as before, but I bought it in 2024 and it lasts a minimum of 8 hours, even passing 12. Good projection for the first hour. Good price if you don’t grab it in department stores; look for deals (around $100 for 100ml). Not a blind buy; test on skin first. Ratings: Scent 8.5/10, Price 7.5/10, Longevity 8.5/10, Projection 8/10, Smell 9.3/10.
Just like the first Spicebomb EDT. The spice bombs from V&R, the Dutch duo Vitorio and Luccino, were a hit and gave them fame and fortune. This work by Olivier Polge, Chanel’s master perfumer, was the first in the saga in 2012. Polge, a sharp guy who knows his stuff, created a light version of the almost-niche success of Tom Ford’s ‘Tobacco Vanille’, but for the masses who spend on pop perfumery. What could go wrong? Nothing. The grenade-shaped bottle, the famous hand grenade, even has imitators. The scent is a copy: a fougère base without green notes, lots of spice (pink pepper, cinnamon, paprika, saffron) creating sweet-spicy bursts, all loaded with super-sugared elemi and a background of mellowed amber tobacco and vetiver, all very soft to give a seductive touch. Does it work? Yes. Is it worth setting off fireworks? No. Reformulated downwards in 2024, a fate worse than death. I have a batch from November 2023 and it lasts a maximum of 5 hours, barely on the skin. If you have old bottles, enjoy them. The Extreme, more expensive and harder to find, is the same thing with oversaturated vanilla and a touch of whisky. I neither like it nor is it the night-time underwear-dropper the charlatans claimed. For me, it’s unisex; it reminds me of a Lattafa Kahmrah without the cinnamon cookies. Also, they reformulated it and the price is shocking. I’ll stick with this first EDT; although it’s 12 years old, it has aged well. Salut i força al canut. Carpe diem.
Without a doubt, it deserves the name ‘bomb’. From the start, an explosion of spices that give energy and power. It’s like the warmth of a fireplace in winter mixed with adrenaline. Intense, loaded with sweet spices made for the cold. The first impression is that dose of pepper and cinnamon, warm and enveloping. It has a sweet layer that balances the energy, giving it a unique personality. The intensity and depth are perfect for autumn and winter. Champion longevity: lasts all day and projects quite a bit, filling the room. But it has a downside: in enclosed spaces it can be overwhelming, excessive if you’re not careful. Not ideal for small offices or places without ventilation. It’s striking that the tobacco and leather are barely noticeable. Although they are there, they aren’t as prominent as I expected. I would have liked more tobacco, which is one of my favourite notes. Nevertheless, the spices and sweetness work perfectly without them. It’s bold but not aggressive, perfect for those seeking confidence without intimidation. Immediate and lasting impact, ideal for standing out in cold climates. Make sure you’re in the right place, as the intensity can be excessive in the wrong circumstances.
Exquisite, sophisticated, and unique. That’s how I would describe this masterpiece. I’ve never heard anything like this delight. Its creators were inspired when they made it.
Spicy opening with full-on cinnamon, smells very much like a room freshener. Lasts 8 hours on skin, but I’m not buying it; perfect for testing if you like cinnamon as the star note.
I love it; it’s a delicious aroma: spiced, sweet, and slightly spicy from the cinnamon. It has become one of my favourites, but I’d love for it to last longer. I don’t know if it’s my pH or a weaker reformulation, but I wish it lasted more than 4 hours. Also, for the price, I’d like a better atomiser; the one included is terrible, and due to the bottle shape, I’ve missed sprays. Recommended for those who like sweet spiced aromas, but better to test first or buy a decant, as there will surely be some who won’t like it. And in my case, the longevity is a pity: although it’s not extremely expensive, it’s not cheap either. I understand that for some it’s unacceptable to have to carry a decant or have it last only 2 or 3 hours.
October 2022 batch: Delicious and versatile cinnamon, but on my skin it lasts a mere moment. Given the price here in Colombia, it sounds like a scam.
Good for cold climates. Opening is pleasant, lasts 6-7 hours on skin and days on clothes afterwards. If you like spices, you’ll love it.
Stupendous perfume for cold weather: spiced, cinnamon-rich and lovely. Extreme is better, but this is fantastic.
In my top 10 alongside Extreme. Both are beasts in terms of longevity and projection. The opening is citrusy and spiced (pepper, bergamot, cinnamon) before yielding to saffron and then a spiced tobacco with leather. Round and far from the common, even though it’s an EDT. Lasts 24 hours on skin, projects strongly at first then stays close to the skin. It’s intense, better in cold weather than summer, and while it’s not a blind buy, it could be a signature scent if you dare.
As a woman, I hate it.
