Salvatore Ferragamo founded his first company in Florence in 1927, dedicated to footwear. The perfume division was formalised in 1997 with Ferragamo Parfums, created as a joint venture with Bulgari.
The current perfumery is divided between feminine and masculine lines, with families such as Signorina and various eau de toilette and eau de parfum. Production takes place exclusively in Italy under a worldwide licence from Inter Parfums, while Ferragamo maintains product development and the house codes.
