Descripción
Signorina Ribelle by Salvatore Ferragamo is an oriental floral fragrance for women. Launched in 2019, this composition was created by perfumer Sophie Labbé. The olfactory pyramid unfolds with top notes of pink pepper and mandarin; a heart of frangipani (plumeria, plumaria, atapaima) and ylang-ylang; and a base that evokes ice cream, coconut milk and vanilla.

Is the Rebel Girl by Ferragamo just another gourmand? Another generic fruity-chouli? No. Signorina Ribelle is a perfume that radiates seductive joy with a touch of rebellion. Its opening highlights a blooming ylang-ylang crowned by creamy, powdery vanilla, and finished off with coconut milk. It is an aroma that melts the taste buds, ambivalent between the nocturnal scents of Italian metropolises and the sun-drenched coasts of the Mediterranean. It has a strong olfactory similarity to Trussardi’s Sound of Donna, which sets it apart from typical sweet smells of the common crowd.
PS: To add another data point, after a few days I’ve become familiar with the scent, and Signorina Ribelle in its dry-down bears a great resemblance to Sunny Side Up by Juliette Has a Gun, particularly in the coconut milk note which makes them very similar. Unlike the JHG fragrance I eventually gifted away because its evolution on my skin became too strong and unpleasant, turning into a very sweet, cloying coconut, the Ferragamo perfume is subtle and refined. Without a doubt, Signorina Ribelle belongs to the Capulet, Montague, or Medici family of the contemporary era; I’ve fallen hopelessly in love with the Italian high-society Rebel Girl.
I received it as a Christmas present; by the time the box arrived, there was no trace of the essence left, but they had kindly included a mini bottle. I applied it to my forearm and oh, how sweet! But as time passed, let’s not talk about hours but minutes, the perfume faded until it was very faint. That’s why I decided to switch, and honestly, I have no regrets.
Vanilla and coconut ice cream! I’ve tried it a couple of times and simply couldn’t stop smelling my wrist. A single application lasts for ages. When I first bought it fresh, it was extremely sweet on my skin and initially caused a bit of a turn-off, but after 30 minutes, the coconut emerges sweet and exquisite. My son praises it every time I wear it. It’s a shame they like it so much; it has a strong sillage, but its longevity isn’t as good as one might hope.
It didn’t quite convince me. I bought a 30ml mini bottle to try because its notes caught my attention greatly; I’d never had a perfume like this. I had certain expectations, but it seemed somewhat generic to me. It has nothing particular. This perfume thing is so personal, as I see girls who loved it, obviously. It’s not for me; although it seemed to me that it projected nothing on me and its longevity was poor, the times I could smell it gave me dizziness. I suggest trying it only if you catch it on offer and can risk it…
It didn’t fully convince me. I bought the 30ml bottle for the notes, but it seemed generic and lacking particularities. It’s very personal; I see girls delighted by it, but on me it projected nothing, lasted little and gave me a headache. I suggest trying it only if you catch it on offer and are willing to take a risk.
Meh? I fell short of my high expectations despite falling in love with the notes I read. I’m grateful I bought the miniature; the scent is very generic and blends with any mandarin and vanilla sweet. I didn’t feel the ice cream or creaminess, just a citrus hand cream with a little coconut. It’s very faint, soulless and evaporates quickly. I recommend trying it before buying.
Delicious; it’s coconut ice cream made into perfume, supremely creamy. It gives me summer vibes of the beach and cocktails. It’s not the most unique, but it’s delicious.
A soft, delicate fragrance, gourmand. The mandarin fades quickly to give way to yellow florals with coconut and vanilla. It’s like coconut milk with vanilla, reminiscent of cocadas, leaving the floral accords in the background.
A soft and delicate fragrance, gourmand. The mandarin appears very fleeting to give way to yellow flowers that intermingle with coconut and vanilla. In summary, it can be described as vanilla-infused coconut milk; it reminds me of ‘cocadas’ from my country, leaving the floral accords in the background.
A sample arrived and I quite like it. The mandarin comes out strong, blending with yellow florals; the coconut adds creaminess alongside the ice cream and vanilla, but it’s more of a sweet, creamy floral. It lasts six hours with soft projection. I like it, but I wouldn’t buy it as I already have the Olympéa Solar with similar vibes.
It delivers for the price and description, but it’s generic, common and reminds me of 90s aromas or make-up. The coconut isn’t noticeable and it could be cloying.
I received a sample and I have to say I quite like it. It has a very marked opening of mandarin that quickly blends with the yellow flowers. For me, the coconut note is not predominant, but rather adds creaminess (along with the ice cream and vanilla), yet it is a perfume that is mostly a sweet, creamy yellow floral. Projection is moderate to soft, with a longevity of 6 hours on my skin. I like it, but I don’t think I would buy it as I already own Olympéa Solar and would give it a similar use (they aren’t identical, but share similar vibes with the mandarin, ylang-ylang, and creaminess; with Olympéa Solar being warmer and Signorina Ribelle more floral). I like it, but I don’t feel it is anything too special…
I love how it suits my partner; it smells great, lasts long and projects very well.
Subtle when dry, sweet without being cloying, flirty and elegant.
Subtle perfume in its dry-down, sweet without being cloying, coquettish and elegant.
What a pity that a scent as creamy as coconut and vanilla ice cream performs so poorly. The bottle finish and cap are flaking; poor quality. For the price, it wasn’t worth it and I won’t repurchase.
It’s a pity such a magnificent scent has such poor performance. Creamy and soft smell of coconut and vanilla ice cream. The embellisher and cap lose their shiny paint; poor finish quality; for the price, it wasn’t worth it. I won’t repeat with this one.
I loved this little perfume. The notes fascinated me; it’s enveloping; I would dare to define it as elegant tropical. It’s not the typical perfume that smells like sunscreen, although it has solar notes; it is the base notes that change the vibe from a typical ‘beach smell’ to an exquisite floral, tropical, and milky scent. I currently have three Ferragamo perfumes: Signorina Misteriosa, Signorina Eau de Toilette, and the Ribelle. I must say the first two performed excellently for me, and the worst thing I can say about the Ribelle is that on my skin it lacks fixation; I think the longevity is less than an hour. That is super bad for me because I always look for the main things: fixation, projection, longevity, and sillage. Unfortunately, if it doesn’t last, it’s something desperate and frustrating because I like to smell for hours. For this reason, it’s difficult to recommend it blindly; it all depends on pH and skin type, I imagine they fix more or simply don’t have a good fixative. So I’m fascinated by the scent and notes, but I hope to appreciate it for longer on my skin with other opportunities; perhaps in spring-summer I noticed it more, let’s hope so hehe.
I love the notes; it’s enveloping and elegantly tropical. It doesn’t smell like suntan lotion but rather an exquisite milky floral. I own three Ferragamos and the first two last wonderfully on my skin, but the Ribelle barely lasts an hour, which is frustrating for anyone seeking projection and trail. It depends on pH, but I’m fascinated by the scent; perhaps I’ll notice it lasting longer in spring.
