🔎👃🏻 PIM’S COOKIES EDITION SANTI BURGAS 👃🏻🔍 Mr Burgas, stop creating needs for us. “EGNARO”… wait, let’s turn it around… “ORANGE”! Indeed, that is its protagonist note: a large, juicy and ripe orange that invades your olfactory memory. It comes accompanied by others, but I prefer to create a mental image for you. Do you know Pim’s cookies? If not, you’re already too late to try the orange ones. Do you perceive their flavour? That thin layer of dark chocolate, the orange marmalade and that soft, porous and dry texture. (Good heavens, my mouth is watering). They taste 70% like Egnaro on skin. Already olfactorily, but that 30% is missing! That’s where Santi’s magic comes in, making it not just another sweet gourmand but developing its own category. To that accord, let’s call it “Pim”, add a touch of “dirtiness”, as if the orange were too ripe, even rotten, which lowers its sweetness and gives it a chocolateed and rough effect. Accompany it with a pinch of anise for that characteristic “sting” and finish with ginger zest, which adds freshness and penetration. Is it worth it? In performance, nothing new under the sun. In scent, it’s subjective, although in my circle it has caught attention and been liked. I invite you to try it, it’s another work of art by a MASTER. 🔝 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟

Forget Bourgas’s oud; this is the most difficult to wear. On paper, it sounds like a citrus with a dirty civet note, but in reality, it’s bizarre and hard to decipher. To me, it smells like mineral orange soda—effervescent, yet sharp and pungent thanks to the ginger and civet; it doesn’t smell animalic, just strange. I wouldn’t wear it, though it’s interesting; the worst part is that it lasts a damn long time.

For me, setting aside Burgas’ ouds, this is the most complex to wear. By the notes you’d think it was citrus with a dirty civet part, but smelling it is quite strange and hard to describe. It smells to me like a mineral orange soda, you can feel the effervescence, but with something very shrill and pungent, thanks to the ginger and civet. It doesn’t smell animalic, it smells weird. I wouldn’t wear it, although it is interesting. That said, it lasts a long time.

  • Bought blind and it was a very pleasant surprise. The perfume is brilliant; it can surprise and leave you speechless. It arrived very well wrapped and protected, and to my surprise, it came with two samples. The spectacular box denotes quality and the bottle too. Three sprays on the neck and the first hit is an orange, perhaps ripe, sweet and sour, elegant, with a sting that surprises but doesn’t bother. Half an hour later it changes, becoming creamy, warm and unique. That’s when it becomes spectacular, when Egnaro appears in its full expression and stays with you for many hours. It was a huge success. An original perfume of high quality that lasts a long time and projects presence and elegance. Thanks Santi for the tingle of your creations.

  • The orange note is juicy and nice, but the animalic part makes it heavy and difficult to digest. I can’t see myself wearing it much. The projection seems to be rather moderate.

  • Very peculiar and I didn’t like it. It smells of orange with that dirty part of civet, almost faecal, and the combination gives me a sensation of chocolateed orange. The problem is that the orange smells strange, like those Tang powders for making drinks or orange-flavoured medicines, with that effervescent air. I’m not quite clear on what occasion I would wear it.

  • Santi Burgas has said he admires Dadaism, that movement which breaks conventions. According to him, one day his nephew chose components at random and thus this scent was born: aniseed orange over sandalwood and a very light amber base. Although the idea sounds original, perhaps it’s not the best way to create a perfume. It smells like he doesn’t know where he’s going, just like that nephew. It doesn’t break any moulds nor is it particularly pleasant. It’s not a bad scent, but I think to propose something you must follow minimal rules. Cheers.

From the very first moment, the Valencian orange shines with unusual warmth and brilliance, intoxicating. It’s not the cheerful mandarin or the sparkling lemon of classic colognes; here, the citrus is juicy, with a spiced hint of anise and ginger that gives it an intriguing, seductive air. Egnaro isn’t for beginners in niche perfumery: its trail is powerful and its longevity incredible. A solid 10.

  • I think most has already been said about this perfume, and from my point of view, I absolutely love it. It’s one of those that puts you in a good mood, without any fuss; you wear it whenever you fancy, without overthinking it.
