A very curious citrus-resinous opening that manages to unite warmth and freshness. It then softens but maintains that duality, adding a touch of cocoa. It is an incense that always keeps a fresh spark thanks to the citrus. At first, it smells strongly of old electronic soldering fluid, with a slightly rancid note; if you are of an age and have desoldered components, you will know what I mean, and that gives it a strange touch. It also reminds me of entering a church with incense and old woods, like a village Romanesque church. Hours later, that mixture brings to mind L’Envol by Cartier: more ethereal and fresh, but with that honeyed, food-like air. It’s not something to wear, but I confess it is very addictive and I keep smelling my wrist without stopping. It is a warm fragrance, not for the office, but for a date or an elegant event in cold weather. For those seeking amber-incense scents without falling into deep sweetness, here is a quality option. Projection and longevity are excellent.
It smells very similar at the beginning to the new Bentley for Men Intense, and as it dries down, it resembles a part of Egnaro.
An unusual scent. Green, resinous, and slightly smoky, with citrus providing the initial burst. It reminds me of sawdust mixed with chainsaw fuel. It’s not a bomb; it has a classic woody touch, but its evolution is driven by the resins. After half an hour, it moves into its heart, where I detect dry, powdery sandalwood, labdanum, and a subtle spicy note. In the final phase, after two hours, it becomes creamy without losing those resinous notes that give it a laundry soap aroma. It’s an interesting fragrance, not for everyone, dark and mysterious. Suitable for more mature people, over 30, and inclined towards the masculine side. In conclusion, I like it very much. My only drawback is its poor behaviour on my skin: it projects at only 50 centimetres and I can smell it very close after nine hours. A serious, formal scent, perhaps for a bad boy. For cold climates and people over 30. Scent 8.5/10, Sillage 8/10, Projection 8/10, Longevity 8/10.
Dark Rebel Rider in Niche edition smells like a motorcycle at night, worn leather, and rain in the city, without the cheap dust of the original version.
