  From the first spray, Esentzia 54 screams quality: top materials, flawless blend, and pure class. It starts sharp with the bergamot but quickly warms up. It is like a Rosendo Mateu 5 without that overwhelming excess of musk; it smells familiar but well-executed. The bergamot, the lily root (what a good one!), which gives a powdery touch without overdoing it, the violet which makes it floral and dark, like Narciso for Him without being gloomy or old-fashioned, and an amber with just the right sweetness. As it dries, the blonde tobacco adds that extra dry warmth. I wish the bergamot lasted longer, as it moderates that powdery halo and gives it life. Projection and longevity are balanced, ideal for spring or autumn, nothing for the beach or gym wear. If you ask me for a versatile perfume that smells niche and pleases everyone, this is my number one recommendation. Scent: 7.8, Longevity: 8, Projection: 7.1, Emotional: No, Originality: 7.3, Price: 135€/100ml. Recommended: medium-high (what a shame it has risen by 30€ in such a short time).

  I have just purchased Esentzia 54 and have ventured into niche perfumery; although I am a novice, I can tell that the quality of the ingredients is evident (though there may be exceptions due to price or alternatives I am unaware of). Without going into that… what do I say about Esentzia with my beginner’s nose? 1) It seems well-constructed and the materials are high quality. 2) NOTES: I know bergamot won’t be my ‘saint of devotion’; it stops me from falling in love or being captivated from the start (unlike Egoiste or Tardes, which have nothing to do with it). 3) Opinion: I believe its dry-down makes it more attractive; I will test it this weekend to value it better and give a more realistic review on Monday or Tuesday. PS: Following the previous poster, I am eager to try Rosendo Mateu 5 (I tried the 6 thanks to a gifted decant and liked it, despite many saying it is more feminine within the unisex range); if the 5 is superior in potency, I would love it, and barring a massive surprise, I think Esentzia 54 will be close, which seems like a huge risk.   A magnificent fragrance from Santi Burgas for Urbieta in San Sebastián, blending the city’s elegance with the essence of its perfumery since 1954. It opens spicy, but evolves into a citrus blend with clean creamy lily and violet, paired with dark amber and incense, defining its scent. The musk provides support and lifts the composition, adding consistency and luminosity. Over time, it softens and sweetens slightly due to the sandalwood. The ingredients are of exceptional quality, masterfully blended with a superb balance. A few sprays are enough for good projection for about two hours, and the longevity easily exceeds 8 hours without issue. An excellent signature scent with personality and presence; it smells wonderful and is ideal for fresh or mild temperatures. Au revoir! PS: The box is beautiful, and the bottle is simple yet very elegant, all quality and good taste.

  This is a great perfume from Santi Burgas for the Urbieta perfumery in San Sebastián. The idea was to unite the city’s elegance with the essence of the perfumery that started in 1954 (hence the name). I perceive it at first as a spicy aromatic, although in reality it is citrus with a very clean creamy lily and violet, along with dark amber and incense, which gives that tone to my nose. The musk provides support and pushes the composition upwards, giving it consistency and luminosity. As it progresses, it softens and sweetens a little due to the sandalwood. The quality of the ingredients is extremely noticeable, and everything is masterfully blended with a magnificent balance. A few sprays give good projection for a few hours, and the longevity exceeds 8 hours without problems. It can be an excellent signature fragrance; it has personality, presence, and smells fantastic, ideal for fresh and mild temperatures. Au revoir! PS: the box design is beautiful and the bottle is simple but very elegant, all quality and good taste.
