The top notes include aldehydes, Brazilian rosewood, geranium and peach; the heart reveals a harmony of rose, iris root, sandalwood, ylang-ylang, vetiver, cedar and valley lily; while the base notes settle with iris, musk, heliotrope, tonka bean, honey, vanilla and cinnamon.

  • At first, it says little and comes across as a bit muted, perhaps due to the lack of citrus. Shortly afterwards, it makes its presence felt with good taste and personality. Slightly powdery, tender, and discreet.

  • The aldehydes are noticeable. It is a powdery fragrance, somewhat soft, but with good longevity at least on my skin.

  • A fresh summer aroma and a clean scent. Smells of floral talc; the rose and honey are noticeable. You must use a little as it can be overwhelming; I wouldn’t wear it in winter and it’s not my favourite: so much talc can actually be annoying.

Smells like a baby with a cheeky, fresh twist at the same time. Powdery, dusted, and with a lasting trail. Rich enough for both summer and winter.

  • At first, it smells like an old cologne, like Joya, something citrusy; fortunately, it lasts a mere puff and evaporates, leaving a trail reminiscent of Montale’s Powder Flowers: soft and powdery, like a baby. It is very tender, although it doesn’t last as long as Montale’s nor does it have as much projection, and mind you, I have the Cologne, not the Parfum. Suitable for any season.

  • At first, it smells like an old cologne, similar to Joya, with a citrusy note; fortunately, it only lasts a split second before fading into a trail reminiscent of Montale’s Powder Flowers: soft, powdery, and baby-like. It’s very tender, although it doesn’t last as long or project as much as the Montale, and mind you, I have the Cologne, not the parfum. It’s suitable for any season.

Imagine an old-fashioned talcum powder tin, with a charming, plush applicator, and press it all over your body, feeling yourself submerged in a cloud of perfumed dust. This is Pink Shadow: a delightful mix of powders, talc, rose, iris, and sandalwood. Sweet and tender like a baby’s head, affectionate like a grandmother’s embrace, and warm like a mother’s lap. A simple, clean, tender, and enchanting fragrance.

  • The quintessential powder scent: a dusted rose mist. Warm, dry, and clean. My absolute favourite, period.

  • My top powder scent, unbeatable. A friend’s mother wears it; although she is an older lady, it smells nothing of ‘age’. I was genuinely surprised to find a young woman wearing it since the eighties; I’d never heard anyone else use it, which I adored. You won’t smell it on every corner—in fact, many people don’t even know it. It is soft, delicate, and a wonderfully rich talc. Neither cloying nor intrusive, it smells clean and discreet.

  • It’s a super powdery and delicious fragrance. It lasts well on my skin and leaves a trail. It’s for those who love very powdery and sweet scents.

Smells like very rich baby powder, but I don’t always take it. I love the bottle’s scent, but when applied to the skin it sometimes doesn’t suit me.

  • It smells of baby talcum powder; in Mexico there’s a brand called Menen. It’s feminine, as if you had a newborn baby. It lasts a very long time; even if you sleep with it, by dawn you can still smell it, and the sheets too.

  • Smells like old, stuffy wooden furniture. I tried it for fun but don’t enjoy it; the wood note is overpowering and there’s very little talc. It’s like smelling a baby from the 1950s.

  • Smells like rich baby powder. In Mexico there’s a brand called Menen; it’s feminine, as if you had a newborn. It lasts for ages; even if you sleep in it, by dawn you smell of talc and so do the sheets.

  • This is a dressing-table scent that smells of floral talc, a blend of Teint de neige and roses. The powdery notes are always present. It’s a timeless fragrance for lovers of pure talcs. If you like Bvlgari’s Petits et mamans, Teint de Neige, Soavissima, or Tous Baby, this will win you over.

  • It smells of old wooden drawer furniture, maddening. I wore it just for fun and still don’t enjoy it; the wood note is very strong, with little talcum. It’s as if it smelled of a baby from the 1950s.

I came across it while helping my grandmother tidy her dressing table and was blown away, even though we don’t share the same tastes, I found it delightful. What I notice most is the iris, the roses, the musk and the peach, all talcum-powdered with a touch of honey, cinnamon and vanilla. It’s worth trying; normally talc doesn’t last on me, but this one does.

Super cute baby talcum powder, from the bottle right down to the colour—pure cuteness! Newer generations might not like it, but it’s charming and lasts a long time. I hope to get it again one day.

  • It’s baby talcum powder with roses, ylang-ylang, a hint of tonka bean and vanilla at the base that adds elegance and a vintage feel. It’s not invasive, soft, and reminds me of Kenzo Amour. I like it, although I expected something more magical, but the balance between old and modern is good.

  • I’m absolutely taken with it. Smells of talcum powder and baby powder, a bit like a newborn baby. It gives an air of something old but well-cared for and pretty. It lasts well on my skin and leaves a trail.

  • I love it; it smells of dusted talcum powder, almost like a baby. It gives a sensation of something old yet well-cared-for and beautiful. It lasts a long time on my skin and leaves a trail.

Smells very strongly of dry talcum powder, like the old-fashioned kind that used to be disgusting. Ombre Rose is just like that: I expected something more subtle, but the perfume’s age has given it potency. The ingredients are high quality, but I can’t see myself wearing it, especially not in summer.

  • nataliedrm

Overpowering talcum powder, heavy. It reminds me of the Maja talcums which were excessively strong and dry. That’s how Ombre Rose is. I expected a more subtle and soft powdery scent, but I should have assumed that age on a perfume would give it a strong aroma. The quality of the ingredients is noticeable, but ultimately I can’t see myself using something so intense, and certainly not at any time other than winter.
