Basically, it’s lavender with oakmoss. Upon first spraying, bergamot and mint are slightly more noticeable, but they fade quickly to reveal the lavender and oakmoss blend. There isn’t much more to it; it smells more like aftershave than a perfume. That said, it smells good and you can tell it’s quality. If you enjoy the scent of lavender, it’s a good option. I’d say it’s more masculine than feminine and suits any weather. Performance is average, with moderate projection and longevity. Personally, I wouldn’t buy it, as smelling just of lavender doesn’t appeal to me much; I like lavender, but I prefer it blended with other ingredients and not as the dominant note.

  • I wasn’t going to review this, as my relationship with it is more emotional than technical. It simply doesn’t suit my skin and fails to spark any curiosity. It’s a complex scent: this isn’t just any lavender. The plant has hundreds of varieties; in Provence alone, there are dozens used in perfumery, depending on whether you use the flowers or stems, or the stage of maturity. I disagree with previous opinions. I’m a devoted lavender lover, yet this is like driving an F1 car for car enthusiasts. The downside is poor longevity and average projection; for the price, it feels like a waste, when Puig offers cheaper lavender… but you can travel from A to B in a Seat Ibiza instead of a Ferrari. It’s not just any lavender, just as Creed’s vetiver isn’t your ordinary vetiver.

  • I wouldn’t reach for it, as my connection is more emotional than technical. It’s not my skin and doesn’t spark curiosity. This isn’t just any lavender; it’s a plant with hundreds of varieties, with dozens alone in Provence used for perfumery, and it matters whether you use the flowers or stems, or how it ripens. I disagree with others; I’m a lavender enthusiast, and this is like driving an F1 car if you love cars. The downside: poor longevity and average projection, which seems like a waste for the price, when there’s cheaper Puig lavender available… but you can get from A to B in a Seat Ibiza instead of a Ferrari. It’s not just any lavender, just as Creed’s vetiver isn’t a normal vetiver.
