  This is my first fragrance from this house and the experience starts brilliantly: the box and bottle are beautifully presented, featuring a metal cap with excellent design and weight that screams quality. The opening is citrusy and spicy, but only as an introduction. Within minutes, a slightly bitter orange emerges, accompanied by a very animalic leather, wrapped in frankincense with intense smokiness. In the dry-down, from about half an hour onwards, labdanum and castoreum become noticeable, perfectly combined with vetiver and ambergris. The result is a dense, sophisticated profile that won me over immediately. It reminds me of Vertus Silhouette, but here the animalic notes are much more accentuated while the aldehydes stay in the background. In my opinion, it is a distinctly masculine fragrance, with a classic and very serious character. It is designed for those who already have experience and seek complex compositions, far from the sweet and easy style prevalent nowadays. This is not a fresh or youthful scent: if compared to music, it would be more like Hard Rock or Progressive Rock, nothing like light pop. I especially recommend it for men over 30, for semi-formal or formal occasions. It has adequate projection and longevity, reaching between eight and nine hours on my skin.
