Descripción
Fetish Pour Homme by Roja Dove is a chypre fragrance for men. Launched in 2012, this composition was created by the perfumer himself, Roja Dove. The top notes unfold a vibrant freshness with lime, bergamot, and lemon; the heart reveals an exotic floral bouquet of fig, neroli, violet, and jasmine; while the base settles on a warm, animalic foundation of leather, castoreum, labdanum, cinnamon, oakmoss, cardamom, ambergris, elemi, pepper, vetiver, benzoin, patchouli, musk, and vanilla.

Neither do I like it nor does it disgust me. It starts with a lime that quickly turns into an animal leather, spiced with cardamomo and a touch of jasmine. You can detect oakmoss and a bit of cinnamon. The quality is excellent and longevity is good, but it’s so animalistic that it doesn’t fully convince me. I preferred Bel Ami. For autumn, winter and night. Heavy sillage.
There’s only one bottle, but the Parfum and EDP seem like different fragrances (unlike Enigma). The Parfum opens with a very strong leather, with faecal and tarred tones; the EDP is basically a potent version of Kenzo Jungle Homme. The Parfum follows the pyramid better: when that wild opening settles, the labdanum comes through with cinnamon, balsamic and resinous. After many hours, there are very nice vegetable notes. The citrus (especially lime) are at the base of the Parfum, but more so in the EDP. The cardamomo was spot on, reminding me of Hermes Declaration and Jungle. I can’t see myself in the Parfum, but I can in the EDP, though the prices are insane and unjustified.
Excellent, one of the few that meets my expectations. I wore it for three days: on skin, it smells of strong bergamot for the first hour, then softens and the leather, musk and cardamomo emerge. On clothes, I note elemi, fig and labdanum. I don’t understand why it changes so much, but that’s my perception. It’s leaning towards sexy; I’ve received several compliments already. The more I smell it, the more I like it. Ideal for not going unnoticed on a romantic night.
It’s a great chypre-floral with an amber and spicy base, very well integrated with a good balance between sweet and fresh. It’s easy to wear, masculine, of good quality and dense. But watch out: it’s not the best chypre. Fetish is rich and has density, but the price is unjustifiable. 455 euros for 50ml is more than double what’s reasonable, and it’s not special enough to justify paying for a decant at that price.
I only have a decant, and to be honest, paying 450 euros for this is madness. The citrus and spicy opening is lovely, but once it dries down, the leather makes it feel like any other run-of-the-mill fragrance. There’s nothing of that exceptional quality I felt with Notes of Underground by Ensar Oud. If you’re thinking of spending more than 400 euros, forget Roja and its trivialities.
