I would have loved to try this properly, but the Boadicea samples are disappointing: they evaporate quickly, there’s barely any quantity, and they don’t come with a spray. Under these conditions, it smells of green, bitter, almost alcoholic citrus, like gin, which vanishes in seconds to reveal something denser. The first thing I notice is the frankincense, more humid and bittersweet than normal incense, but it lasts only a flash before the blend of lavender, roses, and incense takes over until the end. It’s pleasant, nothing spectacular, and not particularly exotic. The dry-down reminds me of the amber body of D&G The One, though with differences. In short, you pay a lot for very little. I can’t comment on longevity or projection as I couldn’t apply it as I usually do, but it doesn’t give a sense of power.
