Descripción

Spazio Krizia Uomo by Krizia is a woody fragrance for men. Launched in 1993, this composition features an olfactory pyramid designed by the perfumer. The top notes unfold with bergamot, green notes, coriander, lemon, basil, violet, and neroli. The heart of the fragrance reveals geranium, jasmine, iris root, tonka bean flower, and valley lily. Finally, the base notes settle on oakmoss, cedar, sandalwood, musk, tonka bean, and amber.

At first, for the first hour, I liked it, with a clean sensation from well-balanced citrus and green notes, but afterwards the basil, coriander and greens became too prominent. I detected something similar to Jaguar For Men (the green bottle). I barely noticed the middle notes and the fragrance feels flat with that insistent basil lasting until the end, where I did sense some musk and cedar. It felt greener than woody. The trail is moderate and the longevity on me is superior to 12 hours. Suitable for spring or summer, provided you don’t overapply (which causes that stinging basil note, just as it did with Jaguar), and more for daytime wear.

At first, for the first hour, I loved it: balanced citrus and green notes that gave a fresh feel. Then, the basil and coriander took over and became very prominent, reminding me a bit of Jaguar For Men (the green bottle). I barely noticed the middle notes; the scent stayed flat with that persistent basil until the end, where I could hardly detect the musk and cedar. It comes across as more green than woody. The trail is moderate and the longevity exceeds 12 hours on my skin. Ideal for spring or summer, but without over-applying, because that makes the basil sting too much, just as it did with the Jaguar. More suitable for daytime.

Everyone has their own perfume but for me it’s the exact opposite of the other opinion: it’s a woody scent with just a hint of musk and a faint vanilla touch plus a very distant green note. It’s definitely for autumn or winter; wearing it in the heat or on a sunny spring day would be impossible as it’s sweet enough to become cloying on a mild day and its fragrance is warm by nature. I have it as a gift because I found a bottle online with more than half the contents left in perfect condition. I used it twice in the nineties and then unfortunately it disappeared. I agree with the similarities to Armani and Miyake; yesterday while walking I wondered what it reminded me of and concluded it would be the elegant cousin of the unclassifiable Kenzo Jungle: one was raised in the wild countryside the other in Zurich so to speak. My teenage nephew upon smelling it exclaimed ‘it smells like Europe’ meaning the idea he has of Europe not the real one which these days smells like Middle Eastern food without offending anyone. The opening is barely citrusous so well balanced with the green violet and coriander soap notes that it’s hard to distinguish one from the other and thus it evolves very slowly over its good 10/12 hours. It was a pioneering fragrance the previous and most sophisticated step before One Million; the blend of tonka bean musk and amber gives a sweet vanilla impression perhaps slightly smoky due to the cardamom flower or the root and moss. In short just looking at the notes you can guess where the fragrance is heading. If you can get your hands on it you’ll appreciate it.

For tastes colours and perfumes noses differ; ). My experience is quite the opposite of the other review: it’s a woody scent barely powdery with an avianilla touch and a very distant green note. It’s an autumn/winter fragrance impossible to wear in heat or on a sunny spring day; in warm weather it becomes cloying and the scent itself is warm in a good sense. I’m speaking in the present because fortunately I managed to find a bottle online with more than half its original content in perfect condition. I owned it twice in the ’90s and then it disappeared. I agree with the nods to Armani and Miyake; I was walking along and wondered what it reminded me of and decided it would be the elegant cousin of Kenzo Jungle – one was raised in the wild countryside and the other in Zurich if you like the classic and modern city that comes to mind; my teenage nephew exclaimed on smelling it
