What I like most is that I appreciate it more with time, even though I’ve now run out. When I bought it years ago it didn’t suit me, but now it’s my favourite: fresh and full of personality.
The more I use it, the more I like it. The downside is that I’ve finally run out. When I bought it years ago, I didn’t like it much, but now I absolutely love it; it is fresh and has its own personality.
A true classic. Krizia Uomo is one of those fragrances that takes you back in time. It is a strong, masculine scent, slightly sharp at first, much like many eighties aromas. It opens with light green and citrus notes that impart balsamic, energetic sensations. I recommend letting it settle for about 30 minutes before judging it. It has a perceptible trail and moderate longevity, which can be interesting for young people used to other types of notes, while for those who tested it decades ago, it has the power to evoke many memories of youth. Interesting and singular, definitely a proper 80’s classic with personality and quality.
The modern version has lost some depth and density, but for those unfamiliar with it, it can serve as a glimpse of what the original offered. For someone accustomed to modern perfumery, it could be a monumental experience. It is a magical blend of conifers, citrus, and vetiver that makes me daydream about the times of ritual baths, complex remedies, herbals, and oil blends—the result of meticulous work by revered perfumers, unreachable alchemists of the court… I imagine something like KRIZIA Uomo was given to emperors to represent power and elegance at their peak. If you enjoy the reformulation, try to find a vintage; it is truly different.
A fantastic fragrance I tried thanks to my friend Jerry Drake. Fresh opening, natural, like a mountain breeze with herbal, citrus and pine notes surrounded by flowers. A precious moment that evokes open landscapes and blue skies. The opening lifts the spirit and gradually gives way to a woodier, dirtier base, reminding me of works such as Antaeus, Borsalino or Witness by Bogart. However, Krizia Uomo never forgets the green vision of pioneers like Paco Rabanne, Azzaro or Quorum, with which it is closely linked. Moderate trail; as the hours pass, it consolidates into a hue between moss and barbershop essence, very pleasant, mature and masculine, also very far from current trends, a testament to other eras. In short, a delightful representative of the aromatic fern and of the way aromas were perceived in the eighties.
I tested the vintage version and found it very wearable. There is no denying it is a child of its time, the era of woody and soapy perfumes, but here there are more aromatic and airy notes, which sets it apart from more opulent compositions. It is more delicate, masculine yet with a relaxed touch. Ultimately, what stands out is a resinous pine with a certain hint of silk, finishing with a green sweetness. It tries to evoke One Man Show, but Bogart is more to my taste—mossy and woody, braver and more spirited. It could have been launched in 1990 perfectly.

Fresh, dominated by pine at first before becoming more refined as it blends wood and citrus. I like it and it’s good value.
Krizia Uomo is a classic that opens with a fresh, citrus explosion, dominated by bright aldehydes that give way to a robust aromatic blend. In the opening, juniper berries add a spicy touch, with basil and hyssop lending a distinctive herbal note. Lemon and mandarin add freshness, creating an energetic start. In the heart, a bouquet of pine, cedar, sandalwood and geranium. The carnation and jasmine contribute a soft floral note, while cyclamen adds a powdery, fresh touch. In the base, it reveals its masculine side: oakmoss and vetiver provide earthy depth, while leather and patchouli add sensual warmth. Musk completes it all with softness and longevity. It is a classic fragrance that combines freshness with herbal and woody elements. Ideal for the confident man seeking character.
Krizia Uomo is a classic that opens with a bright citrus burst and sparkling aldehydes, followed by a robust scent. Juniper berries add a spicy note alongside basil and hyssop, while lemon and mandarin bring that energetic freshness. In the heart, pine, cedar, sandalwood and geranium create a harmonious bouquet, with clove, jasmine and cyclamen adding soft floral touches and a powdery nuance. The base is where its masculine side shines: oakmoss, vetiver and earth, with leather, patchouli and musk giving it warmth and sensuality. In short, it’s a timeless fragrance blending citrus, herbs and woods, perfect for the confident man seeking character and distinction.
I could do with more classics like this. While Oscar de la Renta and Quorum save theirs for summer, Krizia works brilliantly in the heat. I thought I detected verbena, but perhaps it was the jasmine with the citrus (I still don’t fully grasp aldehydes). The moss is present from the start, accompanying, giving it sense and freshness. The leather closes very gently, barely perceptible. Excellent.
