Delicious perfume, a pleasure to apply after a shower. Fresh and revitalising ‘orange’ scent, quite safe for a blind buy and will please most. I like it more than the original Terre, probably my favourite from Hermès. Spring/Summer, casual/semi-formal attire, but also well for daytime formal. As for performance… I used a 10ml vial and there are lights and shadows: days with bursts several hours later and others where nothing is smelled after 2 hours. I suppose it’s average for designer. Perhaps the weakest point is the price, I see it as high, but it smells great and has quality. A resounding YES if I find it at a good price.
THE PERFECT FLANKER. Terre d’Hermès original is one of the best perfumes ever formulated, a characterful vetiver with a touch of orange. The vetiver is green with fresh nuances; pairing it with citrus is a hit. The magic lies in the orange: not sweet like juice, but from an unripe orange, with no hint of sweetness, which matches masterfully with the green of the vetiver. This flanker, Eau Givrée, is more amenable and lighter. It trimmed the harsh facets of the vetiver and added juniper berries with presence. It’s like a gin tonic: refreshing. They didn’t use lemons, they chose the perfect note. The juniper berries do the magic with Terre d’Hermès for a calm, refreshing version without losing the signature. Creating a flanker of this calibre is a challenge, and the result is outstanding. Christine Nagel flourishes with hit proposals where this Givrée is one of the best.
Hello… The truth is it’s a fragrance… How to describe it? Charming? Sophisticated? Elegant? I think yes. Delicious. It makes you feel 100% sophistication. A beauty. I don’t see it only for heat or summer; I used it in winter, on a not too cold day, around 20 degrees, and it worked wonderfully. About 5 sprays on skin and a couple more on clothes… Great performance and elegance.
This was my first and has never disappointed me. Terre d’Hermès is extremely versatile, with elegant and fresh citrus notes that give a youthful vibe. Despite the excellent scent, I must admit the duration is scarce, just a few hours, which leaves something to be desired.
To my taste it smells of real lemon/orange; in the declared sour apple notes it feels citrusy with something sweet. I thought it had gone and every now and then I get waves of it on my body. Very good experience, gives a sense of vitality and good mood. I’d wear it casually with jeans and a relaxed white shirt, nothing formal or elegant, though in the end it turns oxidised citrus and earthy, perhaps for something more formal. I understand they recommend using it after a shower for the freshness, but it’s much more. I recommend it for day, spring/summer, any non-formal occasion.
A total hit! A coherent flanker with the legendary EDT by Ellena. More citrusy, with the sour apple opening mercilessly. No jasmine or iris, just wood, earth and fruit. Very masculine, evolves naturally and the base softens. Lasts 6 hours on skin, but projection and trail are scarce as with the whole Terre series. Recommended, but always, always, don’t buy blindly. Bravo, Nagel!
Incredible, it’s the definition of freshness, I’d never used anything like it. Citrusy from the grapefruit and you can taste the sour apple, super different. Someone told me: ‘smells delicious, super fresh and citrusy, but a citrus I can’t define’. There’s a slight sweetness from the juniper berries, but it doesn’t take away the freshness. Then come delicious, soft woody notes. It lasts a long time on my skin, though it’s soft and personal; you need to apply 6–8 sprays. Perfect for the gym, university, work and heat. A wonder.
Too rich, fresh and ethereal; poor projection and trail after half an hour, but anyone sensitive to perfumes will compliment you. The scent is a 10/10, so exquisite that you don’t mind its performance because it would lose its charm. I wear it for everything and bought a refiller to reapply at the fourth or fifth hour. Still, don’t buy blindly.
I tested it on dry skin and it reminded me of a fragrance I didn’t know what it was until Sedley by PM suddenly came to mind.
A citrus bath with a brutal sour apple note giving it that perfect bitterness; the mineral and woody notes last 7–9 hours on my skin. Ideal for heat, it’s my favourite in the Terre d’Hermès line.
A commercial variant of the original Terre d’Hermès but in this case citrus and fresh. Naturally, it completes the already classic scent created by the genius JC Ellena in 2006, but oriented towards the spring-summer season and comes to replace the discontinued TDH Tres Fraiche. As with everything this French house does, it exudes elegance, its own style, quality, and maturity.
I definitely see the Terre DNA as soon as I spray it. A fresh, sharp citrus hit that wraps me in good vibes. Without testing it further, I estimate the longevity is moderate, similar to the Parfum I also own, but I didn’t expect more from a citrus scent. I am starting to shed my obsession with perfume longevity and enjoy the scent itself more, because otherwise, I don’t gain anything but disappointments. I do see it as elegant. It is not the typical marine citrus daily scent; this one dresses you up and distinguishes it from the Aqua di Gio. And, as with every Terre I wear, I insist, it wraps me in good vibes. That bitterness throws me off. I felt short with the 50ml format, I suppose more bottles will follow. Bravo, Mrs Nagel. EDITED: after a few days of testing… what a marvel! 8 hours of longevity with a more than decent projection. It wraps me and the bursts never stop. A citrus with a woody base simply sublime. However, I discovered to my surprise that the batch was made in 2021, that is, months before its commercial launch. In short, I love this light and elegant Terre.
The citrus and incredibly fresh variant of Terre d’Hermès made me part with my D&G Italian Love. It has an overwhelming citrus opening, the apple note, which for my inexperienced nose is quite similar to grapefruit, made me feel both were redundant, so I opted for the Terre simply because it seemed better and more evolving, as it allows the juniper berries to open up over minutes, and finally, when it is close to the skin, the personality of the classic Terre d’Hermès appears timidly. I feel that beneath the ease and pleasantness, there lies notable complexity. Performance on my skin is about 4 to 5 hours, and the hotter it gets, the better.
A total success for summer. I bought it following Carlos Rubio in a video about summer perfumes, and he was absolutely right. I love that it smells of gin and lemon (like a proper gin and tonic), so this Terre d’Hermès caught me off guard… the scent was identical and the freshness it provides is brilliant on hot days for at least 6-7 hours. It is a very formal fragrance (perfect for work and a drink), and as the first few hours pass, you see how the scent evolves into the original Terre d’Hermès, which I certainly don’t dislike. It doesn’t feel like a youthful scent, nor is it for the elderly. For me, it far surpasses the other flanker (Eau Intense Vetiver) that I also tried in-store, because from the first spray, you can see the good vibes and the scent it delivers. If you like citrus, gin, and the Terre d’Hermès smell, buy without hesitation.
An exquisite fragrance with an addictive, sharp, and refreshing citrus profile, perfect for hot days. Ideally suited for a mature individual looking to make a special impression. It doesn’t resemble any other perfume I know. I suggest buying a refiller atomiser as it lasts about five hours on the skin, which is typical for citrus scents of this nature. Simply brilliant!
Incredible, for me better than the classic. It smells like frozen citrus, very good indeed for heat in formal settings, such as an outdoor wedding or in the office when it’s hot. I wouldn’t wear it myself because I think it suits someone older, perhaps thirty and up, but it’s still very good.
It manages to continue the discontinued Terre Eau Tres Fraiche, improving its performance with a realistic and non-synthetic sour orange. It’s a bit more bitter than Eau Tres Fraiche and has a mineral base that brings it slightly closer to Terre EDT, although it’s distinct enough so that owning both isn’t redundant. It’s ideal for spring and summer, daytime situations where you fancy something fresh but of high quality that looks good. It can also be a great alternative for those who find Terre EDT too serious (not my case). It has very good longevity and projection for its type of scent: a long six hours with medium projection on my skin. For a fresh and realistic citrus like this, there’s nothing to object to. Undoubtedly, this Terre Eau Givrée is one of the best citrus perfumes for summer you can find today in the designer catalogue in terms of performance, scent, and packaging. Although Eau Tres Fraiche had a special ‘magic’, this Eau Givrée is more than a worthy successor and positions itself at the very top of Hermès’ catalogue. Highly recommended. Salu2
For me, the best Terre d’Hermès: a sharp citrus opening that lasts for ages and smells like the white part of the grapefruit (sour orange), something bitter but nothing unpleasant. It dries down slightly green and woody, but the citrus never leaves. Brilliant for summer or warm climates, and given the price, I think it’s well worth it. Among the best from designers.
For me, one of the best citrus fragrances, ideal for summer. It’s like an instant hit of freshness that then evolves into a more complex, mineral base with a very subtly earthy note, similar to its older sibling (but not wet earth, rather sandy, as if beach sand had a scent). The initial burst of sour orange creates a hyper-realistic effect of bitter oranges, grapefruits, and freshly cut lemons. Its acidity and sweetness invade the whole room before settling. A lovely scent, and for me, at least, it lasts quite a while on the skin for a citrus fragrance.
In the absence of trying the new EDP Intense, this is undoubtedly the best Terre d’Hermès in the range for me. It stands out from the others, being much more wearable and modern without losing the elegance that characterises the Terre family. A pity it doesn’t last longer, but it remains my favourite perfume for hot days. A masterpiece that passes largely unnoticed.
Elegant fragrance, very boss-vibrating. Buy without regrets. It’s useless in winter, but in summer for the office it’s in my top 3. With that Terre d’Hermès DNA, it’s unmistakable and likely to please. The only drawback: it has no sillage and the longevity is moderate for its price. Update: A proper stinker, 35 sprays and it’s guaranteed to last 5 hours.
Timeless elegance, this fragrance shouts it out. It starts with a spectacular citrus, that of the cider, making you forget the classic. Gradually it turns metallic and woody. Although I enjoy it, someone told me it smells like an older person; I’m 31 and it suits me perfectly. I also felt it was mature, but very wearable for someone over 27. The original projects more age. Duration: brutal, on me it reaches 8 hours, projecting for 2-3 hours, then occasional bursts.
This version of Terre d’Hermès is probably one of the best citrus fragrances on the current market, in terms of quality, realism, and price. I’ve loved it. It hits sharp and realistic, like yellow grapefruit, without the bitterness. As it dries down after 30 minutes, that characteristic vetiver appears with a metallic touch, like freshly ironed clothes, giving shine to the citrus. I don’t detect the berries as sweet; it’s 100% citrus, fresh, herbal, and woody, without sounding generic. Performance is very good: projects for 1.5 hours, then stays at a medium distance. It lasts a solid 5-6 hours; reapplying is a pleasure. I recommend the 175ml size; you’ll use it a lot. Ideal for casual and semi-formal wear: the scent of a serious but kind man. A quiet luxury for warm climates. If you’re a fan, buy it blind.
If Terre d’Hermès was a dusty gentleman at the end of the day, Eau Givrée is that same gentleman fresh out of the shower, sharp and with his senses awake. The essence is the same, but dressed in steel and frost. It doesn’t lose elegance or bite, but now it looks at you with cold eyes and a wet beard. The cider hits hard: clean, violent, almost insulting. Behind it, unlisted mint and juniper shake you like a bucket of water. There’s no sweetness; it’s the scent of a mountain dawn, with frozen feet and a clear head. Warning: beneath the ice beats the earthy heart of the original. The metallic notes and woods remain there, like scars from a life well-lived. One can shave and get clean, but they can’t escape their history. Eau Givrée isn’t for everyone. It’s for those who distinguish between cold and sterile, those who have lived and still stand tall, chin to the wind and soul frozen.
Terre d’Hermès intensified in citrus freshness. An exquisite opening that you want to last, though it doesn’t go away entirely, because it’s that special freshness. I love it; it could be my favourite in the line, although it doesn’t project as much or last as long as the original.
Very good fragrance. On clothes it doesn’t evolve and keeps the delicious opening; on skin it does evolve, and the marked vetiver is noticeable after the first hour. Very pleasant and masculine.
Defining this perfume is like drinking a mojito with Terre d’Hermès on.
Batch code 19100… is that possible? 😮
It’s a realistic citrus, smelling like the white part of the grapefruit with a woody touch, without the mineral edge. On my skin, it leaves a bitterness and a sense of overripe fruit. Suitable for someone over 40. It projects little and lasts 5-6 hours. In short, it’s not for me, but the quality is evident.
Terre d’Hermès Eau Givrée is the classic with an icy kick you didn’t expect. It opens bright and clean, with a cold lemon that wakes you up instantly, yet underneath remains that damp earth and elegant vetiver that makes it unique. It’s modern, sharp, and masculine without losing the natural sophistication of the line. Perfect for summer or the office: smell good without the fuss. It’s not aggressive, but it is firm. Like a firm handshake… with ice.
If you want an elegant yet fresh version that is also long-lasting (considering the fragrance type), this is your best choice. Surprising is the authenticity and naturalness of its citrus notes, plus the longevity is very acceptable. Very valid for casual wear and also with a more elegant look. Perfect for the office, but equally versatile for any daytime event and summer season. For me, the best of Terre.
A fantastic perfume for sunny, hot days, or when you need a natural citrus vibe after navigating the world of sweet fragrances. You can dress casually, elegantly, or in beach shorts with a summer shirt and sunglasses, making you feel waves of freshness.
The apple note is quite noticeable at first, giving that sensation of a realistic citrus with a hint of sourness that transforms into something totally orange. The dry-down is very rich compared to the initial explosion, a good option for that orange citrus without resorting to sweetness. It’s quite icy.
Spraying 5-8 sprays of this Eau Grivrèe is like taking a draught from your trusted druid: it fills you with energy, strength, savoir-faire, chivalry, and a fantastic good vibe for 6-8 hours. Perfect for mornings from spring to autumn, always in my rotation. It seems excessive to carry this energy during the evening hours without people thinking you’ve taken some opiate, but hey, there are scents for every taste.
Fresh and elegant, perfect for summer days. It doesn’t overdo the sweetness, staying true to the characteristic Hermès essence.
A very good choice for extreme heat, sophisticated without too many notes but with the citrus well-defined. The apple note gives a refreshing, realistic, and enjoyable aroma. Works well in the office and outdoors; it doesn’t bother anyone with its trail (it’s for personal enjoyment and those who get close). It’s a gem, good price, and excellent quality. I’ll be testing it out.
I’m not a fan of citrus scents, but this one in particular is sharp, fresh, and very bright.
Less is more, and this is the definition. A scent of beautiful quality, wonderful to my nose: mineral, woody, citrusy, and spicy. One of my favourites, a delight, like all Terre d’Hermès fragrances. I believe it’s the only Hermès line where everything they release seems incredible to me. Hermès quality.
Ideal for heat and sunny days, very citrusy and woody, of excellent quality. It doesn’t follow the Tygar route; it’s not a sweet or musky citrus, but natural and skin-like, much like the original Terre d’Hermès (leaning towards Parfum). It features vetiver with less prominence, herbal juniper berries, and that metallic note that gives it character. The performance is decent for its naturalness; I wore it for 8 hours today and now I can only catch it in bursts, with moderate projection. Edit: After 10 hours, the supermarket cashier noticed it. Not bad for a fresh scent.
Smells like those hard yellow sweets with powdered sugar. No wonder it’s called ‘Frosted Water’. It’s citrusy, sharp, and mineral, yet not heavy or overly projecting. It smells lovely, but not for me; perhaps more suitable for someone over 40 in the heat, for informal moments.
