After searching for a while for a fresh cologne, I was lucky to be in the Superz store in Budapest; as I left, the scent of Secantes caught my attention greatly. It seemed less commercial than the others, so I decided to take a risk and buy the bottle without testing it on my skin. Do I regret it? I’d say only 1%, as I expected something saltier. La Bohème is a fruity perfume, but very so, and on my skin the bitterness of the grapefruit and the acidity of the lemon and ginger combine wonderfully with the blackcurrants and pear, giving it a juiciness I didn’t expect. In a way, it reminds me minimally of Cedrat Boise, precisely because of that juicy sweetness, but they diverge into completely different worlds. The freshness is undeniable, and if you’re looking for a perfume for hot climates, it’s an excellent choice.
