Spectacular: it’s not innovative, but it’s clean, elegant, and fulfils with sophisticated personality and a polished metallic touch. Very versatile for daily wear, the office, university, or casual outings. On my skin it lasts 7-8 hours: projects a metre for the first hour, then half a metre, and finally a personal bubble. It’s my favourite for work or informal situations. In three words: Versatile, sophisticated, and polished. Rating: 9/10.

In a world where trends pass quickly, Hermès H24 is a manifesto of modernity. I arrived by mistake (I wanted Herbes Vives) and it was a great discovery that reconciled me with the house. It balances classic sobriety with contemporary freshness. Before, Terre d’Hermès seemed mature and rigid to me, but Eau Intense Vétiver and now H24 showed me another side: dynamic and refined. H24 is a green, vibrant, almost metallic breath; herbal but with body and evolution. It conveys cleanliness and sophistication without clichés. It evokes maturity without smelling of ‘old man’, a secure masculinity without affectation. Although vetiver isn’t in the pyramid, there’s that dry, earthy freshness that gives it depth. It lasts excellently and leaves a persistent trail. In one word: serenity. It doesn’t seek to impress or fade; it has a firm identity. I prefer this to Herbes Vives because it’s fresher and more modern; both share the metallic and vegetal DNA, but this is more urban and timeless. It has earned a place in my collection for its clean and serene aroma, and for representing the contemporary man who doesn’t need masks. It doesn’t shout, but it remains.

At first, they criticised it for being Hermès and not pleasing the Terre fans, but today, looking back, I see it was brave to launch something different in five years of designer. Modernised classic is exactly what it is.

Excellent fragrance, I debuted it today for the office and I loved it. It has good longevity: I put it on at 7:30 AM and still felt bursts at 3:30 PM. I was so pleased that I went home happy to have felt it all day. It has singularity against current trends and I’m already looking at Terre d’Hermès with good eyes.

A modern, unique, and distinct green sensation. I loved it because it smells clean, elegant, and brings something new to the category. Without tonka or sweet vanillas, it’s pure neatness and good dressing that offers you rare versatility.

What a beast, my goodness. It smells of absolute cleanliness and neatness, yet with a confidence that denotes maturity. It reminds me of the vibe of Guerlain Heritage: someone centred, with hierarchy in the office. It’s fresh for spring/summer, but with that serious touch. The downside is it lasts about five hours, but reapplying doesn’t hurt given its beauty.

H24 by Hermès is a fragrance that initially throws you off. After reading so much, I decided to try it and confess that my expectations were high. I had seen mixed opinions, from work of art to too experimental. Upon applying it, the truth lies in between. First is its green freshness, marked out by clary sage and narcissus, nothing classic. Something cleaner, like a freshly ironed shirt, very apt. What marks the difference is the metallic note by Christine Nagel, cold and brilliant, giving it a futuristic air. On skin, the green softens, becoming warm and welcoming, as if the metal were melting. Patchouli and creamy woody notes appear in the dry down without taking away from that fresh and modern mix. It seeks to differentiate itself from the multitude, moving away from common designer formulas. Who is it for? For those seeking something different, modern, and versatile. It’s not seductive nor mature like Terre d’Hermès. Wear it to work, a meeting, or a quiet date. Discrete projection, ideal for not dominating the room but still leaving an impression. Duration about five hours before fading to skin level. Coherent with Nagel’s and Hermès’ style. Although it doesn’t quite fit the mature line (like Terre), its fresh focus stands out. Other versions like EDP and Herbes Vives add nuances. In summary, it’s a risky but apt bet for those seeking something unique. Not for everyone, but if you want versatility and modernity, it deserves a try. Is it worth the price? At 80-90 euros for 100 ml, perhaps it’s not essential, but it’s worth trying to discover its singularity.

H24 EDT initially threw off many, especially the conservatives. Today it starts to be recognised as very good. Modern, original, fresh, versatile, good performance, and a charming scent. Congratulations to Christine Nagel and Hermès for betting on this. Modernisation and a search for young clientele. Here’s the deal: without going crazy, I like it. I see it as different from everything in the current perfumery kingdom, dominated by constant iteration (shoddy copies, flankers) and usual synthetic and sweetish scents: domesticated ephemeral citrus, tonka, pink pepper, cardamom, sweetened lavenders, syrupy vanillas, vetiver and soft woods to last, liquor or light suede for the older ones, ambroxan… already smelled in 100,000 fragrances. H24 smells different, something rare, between fruit, sweet greenness, and metal, without being strong, astringent, or annoying. Some say it smells of dry-cleaning steam or laundry. I don’t believe it and think those who say it have never worked in a dry-cleaning place with electric irons emitting heavy white smoke. I think those who say it has a retro-neofougere air from the 80s but updated are right, with greenness softened to the maximum, without smelling of old, without being boring or insubstantial as their haters claimed. The scent hooks you; it’s clary sage sweetened herb mixed with something similar to banana peel, creamy wood, sandalwood, narcissus, and a metallic note I don’t know how Nagel got out of it. You’ll ask if it’s very masculine like Terre. No, I see it as quite unisex with a slight masculine nuance. Try it on skin and decide. Flanker: The EDP is 70% identical, a bit denser, mature, mossy, dark, nocturnal, and lasts longer. I stick with the EDT, more bearable. I tried Herbes Vives once: simple, fresh, summery, and very green, smells of pear with clary sage and has good duration for being fresh. If you only want one, the H24 EDT and run. Duration? Moderate to good, 6-7h on my skin, projects for a couple of hours, in a charming scent that makes you want to reapply. Price? Moderate for a designer brand. Hermès has never been cheap, but it hasn’t climbed the grapevine like other brands with lesser quality.

I wouldn’t repeat it; it’s not that it’s bad, but I felt it very generic and somewhat of the crowd. One of its 4 notes is not concordant nor harmonious and I can’t distinguish it. It smells very much like 80s perfumes and, passing by, like a barber-shop smell. It has a point, a taste of very old lotion. Old is not a word that personally conflicts with me as I love vintage scents. This was not one of those.

It smells old-fashioned, with no novelty in the opening or dry down, a total disappointment. Never Hermes again; if you want a 1980s smell, this is it.

I’m updating my 2022 review, especially regarding performance. My bottle is from the first batches, 50ml, I left it half-empty for several months and recently tested it with a friend and wow, what an improvement. In my previous review I said 4-5 hours, but after months of not using it, perhaps it macerated or oxidation did it good, as now it projects for about 8 hours with a short but well-perceptible trail. It didn’t become a BEST MODE, but it did improve. I hope to renew the EDT soon and add the EDP, which is brilliant. Let’s hope the formulas stay intact.

This fragrance isn’t easy, it has risky touches, but it’s a very good option to smell GOOD and different, believe me, it earns compliments, perhaps not to the level of others… I like it a lot, remember that in the end every nose is a different world…

It resembles Drakkar Noir, it has nothing of the original.

A somewhat unworthy fragrance for a brand like Hermes, although at this point all the great perfumery prelates have made unworthy perfumes (Chanel, Dior, Guerlain, Saint Laurent, Prada, Armani, etc). The scent is based on a flat, industrial, low-cost brand musk, with an unpleasant acidity and null development. Its trail and longevity are mediocre. Another one from the shame that the once-upon-a-time luxury houses are chaining together.
