  • I hadn’t heard of it until last month in 2019 and picked up a 30ml EDT for my handbag. I’ve enjoyed it, even though I’m not one for such sweet, overpowering scents like Carolina Herrera. One spray lasts me all day; it’s a powerful 80s perfume that shouts ‘here I am’ with lasting sillage. When it runs out, I’ll definitely buy it again.

  • I bought it blindly for the bottle and was won over upon trying it: fresh flowers with citrus touches and a base of woods and moss that make it unique. I’ve used two bottles and wouldn’t mind buying it again. It lasts all night, it’s super executive, ideal for work meetings or smart casual outings.

  • You can’t help but fall in love; it evokes the perfection a designer could dream of, from the elegant bottle to the high-quality scent. Alfred Sung captures all the beauty of creamy floral nuances. It begins with a soft, fresh hyacinth, as if the petals have just opened. Then comes a harmonious blend of pink jasmine and carnations, with a shy yet present Ylang Ylang. The base holds its greatest mystery: a sophisticated nature where sandalwood, musks, ambered myrrh, and moss create a special character. It’s a delight. Alfred Sung, a designer of Chinese origin who fled his parents’ expectations to follow his dreams, ventured into tailoring in Paris, perfected his craft in the US, and opened his shop in Canada. The version I’m reviewing is the Toronto edition, with a scent reminiscent of Eau de Gucci or Fleur de Orlane; if you like those, you’ll love this. Its essence quality is what sets it apart and explains its great success. It’s opulent, but not through drama, but through the quality of its notes. It performs perfectly with projection and longevity above average. Edit 2024: I’ve tried the Elizabeth Arden version again, and it remains an elegant aromatic fragrance; the reformulation isn’t bad at all. Sophistication and elegance. I recommend it wholeheartedly.

  • It looks stunning; the hyacinth is the first thing you notice and it captivates me. It smells of quality and isn’t everyone’s cup of tea, which I value greatly. Floral yet classy. Simply beautiful.
