  • I was going to buy it blind to see if it resembled the beautiful L by Lolita, which sounds too good to be true… and I don’t know how it will fall in love with me without the bitter orange, tonka bean, and immortelle. But I will try it; besides, it has a very affordable price, around 20 euros. Once I try it, I will write my opinion, as there are no comments on it and this time I don’t have your excellent reviews to guide me. Let’s see if it’s the right one!!! 🙂 Well, three days later I think I can comment, although I need more time to get to know it. I really like how it smells, but I admit the first impression wasn’t good. It is true that it resembles the L, but the first contact on my skin didn’t please me. It smelled of strong alcohol, somewhat acidic like almonds accompanied by lemons or something similar, not very pleasant for me. Shortly after, I noticed a toasted scent on my skin, which was still unpleasant… it reminded me of a cheap imitation I bought of the L, which only smelled of alcohol, even somewhat masculine. And finally, after a while, that sweet and creamy scent appeared; for me, that is the smell of Christmas. Warm, sweet with cinnamon cooking in the wood-burning oven on a Christmas morning with my grandmother in the kitchen, and with decorations adorning the house and a beautiful snowy landscape through the window. That was the magic of the L, and Tendre Madeleine has that resemblance. But I see an important negative part: I would have preferred to pay double for an increase in quality. It barely lasts on the skin; I have to spray it several times, which I don’t like because the start is always alcoholic and strong, and because it takes time for that sweet scent I like to appear. And the pity is that when it appears, it is not too present. Sometimes when I move I get this rich sweet scent, and sometimes I don’t. This Christmas sweet is shy. I will keep insisting, as from the first day to today my opinion has changed for the better. A few days later I can continue to comment for the better! I use it daily, and it is true that I don’t like the bitter initial scent, but quickly (in a few seconds) that little cinnamon and vanilla sweetness appears, a cream cake, cookies, or I don’t know if a mix of all of it, but mm so delicious, quite gourmand. And today I can indeed say I received my first compliment wearing this scent; I entered a shop and the salesperson said I smelled wonderful, that the scent drove him crazy, he asked if it was vanilla, and then said it wasn’t just smelling good, but that it gave one the urge to hug… haha, so be careful girls wearing this perfume, they might try to bite you. 🙂

  • I bought it blind expecting a clone of the L by Lolita, which sounds too good to be true, without the bitter orange or immortelle. At 20 euros it is a good price, and at first I thought I wouldn’t like it. The opening was a strong, acidic alcohol, like almonds with lemon, nothing pleasant, and then a toasted note that reminded me of cheap and masculine imitations. But with time that Christmas magic appeared: sweet, creamy, like cinnamon cooking in the oven with my grandmother and snow outside the window. It is a very shy Christmas sweet that doesn’t last long and I have to re-spray, because the start is still strong and the sweet is not always present. Nevertheless, my opinion has improved greatly; now I use it daily and, although the bitter beginning doesn’t please me, in seconds that sweetness of cinnamon, vanilla, and cookies appears, super gourmand. Today I was complimented in a shop saying I smelled wonderful and that it gave one the urge to hug, so be careful girls, they might try to bite you.

  • Although I’m not a fan of gourmands, I ordered it online because the notes appealed to me greatly and I prefer oriental scents with vanilla; besides, the price on online perfumeries is excellent. It comes in 100ml of eau de parfum, but in projection and longevity it falls short, more like an EDP with the duration of an EDT. Many associate it with L by Lolita Lempicka, although I don’t know that one to comment. The truth is its name ‘Tendre Madeleine’ is apt: it smells like a tender Madeleine with a touch of orange and cinnamon. The opening is sparkling due to the bergamot and cinnamon, fun and original, and as it settles it leaves an enveloping, warm, and comforting scent, perfectly unisex. It is tender and gives one the urge to hug. It didn’t fall in love with me, but I love how it sits on my husband’s skin; he has worn it until the end and it doesn’t tire. It is sweet without being cloying, with a balanced formulation where the bergamot, almond, and woody notes prevent it from being heavy. We won’t repeat it due to the poor longevity, but for the price it is worth trying, especially if you like L by Lolita Lempicka. It is easily recognisable, perfect for autumn and winter. It has a plus: it contains no phthalates and the alcohol is 100% organic.

  • The resemblance to L by Lolita Lempicka made me buy it blind, and yes, it is quite similar, although its projection and trail are light years away from the original. Despite that, it is a delight. It opens very strongly with bergamot but in minutes it settles on the skin with a pleasant cinnamon and then some sweet almonds that envelop you in warmth. It is a perfume that caresses and embraces you with a special warmth. The dry-down is tender and fluffy, like a Madeleine with a slightly woody vanilla that wraps around you like a soft blanket in winter. I would wear it a sweet and pleasant girl or a boy who wants to smell great. It is a gourmand aroma but nothing cloying, a good price for something considered niche. I am happy to have it and will definitely buy it again.

  • The resemblance to L by Lolita Lempicka pushed me to buy it blind, as that perfume is in my top favourite aromas, and yes, it is quite similar. The downside is that in sillage and trail it is light years away from the L. Nevertheless, this perfume is a delight. It opens with a very strong bergamot note that disappears in minutes, settling on the skin into a lovely cinnamon scent. Then comes a sweet almond note that adds a warmth that envelops you and makes you feel very comfortable. There are perfumes that caress and embrace with a special warmth, and this is the case with Tendre Madeleine. The dry-down remains tender and fluffy like a Madeleine; a slightly woody vanilla wraps around you like a soft blanket in winter. I would wear this a sweet, feminine girl, the pleasant girl you like to be with (or a boy, as it also has to smell great). A sweet, gourmand aroma but nothing cloying. A niche perfume at a very good price, highly recommended. I’m happy to have it in my collection and will definitely buy it again.

  • I don’t know how L by Lempicka smells, but I do know how Absolute Aphrodisiac by Initio smells, and I have to say they are quite similar, not in composition or quality (which would be like comparing Beluga caviar to Mercadona ham), but in the notes. Without the animalic castoreum, Madeleine has a citrusy twist that makes it more wearable. Absolute Aphrodisiac is a powerhouse for close-range wear. Today I combined them, and the mix is quite interesting.

  • If you want to smell like a 🧁, Salamanca macarons, and little cakes with that dry flour and sugar touch plus a hint of orange 🍊, try this cologne. It achieves a bakery scent without being cloying; it’s a warm, happy treat. In the end, being a Madeleine is pure happiness. As it evolves, it reminds me a bit of chewing gum.
