I’m not a lover of neroli; it still smells like baby perfume to me, though it doesn’t disgust me either. This note doesn’t have any bad associations for me, so I never refuse to try it. I haven’t tried Tom Ford’s Neroli Portofino to compare, but I can say that within the world of neroli, this is very well executed. It seemed to me that the note is present in both the opening and the heart. The sillage, trail, and projection are rather low, and the skin longevity is moderate. If you like neroli, you can find it, and if you have the money (it’s not very expensive, although Arabic scents are rising in price), don’t hesitate to buy it.
The opening didn’t convince me at all; it was strong, almost like Chini, but once it dried on my skin, I finally got the trick. That’s why I bought it. I’d already decided against it, but after smelling it on my skin a few minutes later, I was hooked and took it home. I’m not a huge fan of neroli, but I’ve enjoyed how it dries and its lasting power overall.
Smells citrusy and floral, super clean… in the heat it truly unleashes its magic. It lasts forever and I’ve received so many compliments. 8.5/10
